About this property

ABOUT THE LOCATION
This charming cabin in the mountains is 10 minutes to historic downtown Breckenridge and world class skiing. It sits on a 1 acre spacious wooded lot, conveniently located on a quiet dead end street just off of highway 9. It is very easy to find and the roads are easy to navigate as well as the driveway. In the winter, our driveway and streets are diligently maintained. In the summer, the abundant wild flowers are a delight as well as the occasional moose sighting!

BEDROOMS
The main level master bedroom has a very comfortable queen size bed with down pillows, down comforter, and a duvet. Upstairs there are two more bedrooms. One bedroom has a full size bed and the other is a kids' bunk room with a full and twin on top. A flat screen TV with Play Station is also in this room. For your comfort, all rooms have humidifiers.

THE KITCHEN AND DINNING AREA
The kitchen/dinning area has plenty of seating for everyone. For making meals at home, there is a variety of pots and pans, cooking utensils, and spices. In the summer months there is a weber gas grill out back. There is also a drip coffee maker as well as a french press.

THE LIVING AREA
In the living area you will find a large flat screen TV with a stereo and aux hook up for iPhones. The living area feels quite spacious with its two story vaulted ceiling. A host of games and a wood burning fireplace make this the perfect place to hang out. Comcast cable plus WI-FI are all provided. This authentic cabin, which was built in the 60's, has been thoughtfully decorated to maintain its vintage charming retro style.

OUTSIDE
Outside, a covered deck is perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee, and the large patio below with breathtaking mountain views has a big picnic table perfect for a crowd. Also 4 Adirondack around a fire pit is another great place to relax.

NEARBY ACTIVITIES
The area around the cabin is surrounded by numerous 14,000 foot peaks. Minutes away are Quandary peak and epic skiing, hiking, biking and fishing, not to mention the best historic ski town in summit county. Just south, less then a half an hour away are the towns of Alma and Fairplay. Also known as South Park, this area is rich in mining history and offers a beautiful scenic drive with sweeping panoramic views. North of town, are Frisco, Dillon and Silverthorne.

Beautiful location and comfy cabin

We came to visit from FL to experience snow and we sure did! The cabin is warm and cozy and the yard was great for playing in the snow! It is easy to get to the cabin and Breckinridge. We had a wonderful time!

Great! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Great cabin and location. Clean and well kept. Great fire pit too. We had a moose about 50 yards from the cabin. Location just outside Breckenridge was great. Its only about a 6 min drive to downtown Breck. Many trails located within a couple min drive of cabin as well.

Wonderful Cabin in a Great Location!

Greg and Lisa had this well-equipped cabin set up for us before our arrival and it made for a fantastic Christmas vacation in the snowy mountains! It's a quick 10 minutes from the center of Breckenridge if you want to go to a restaurant or ski, but we also went to town to grab groceries and cooked in the cabin's fully equipped kitchen! It's a great place to spend time in Breckenridge without having to be IN Breckenridge! We hope to visit again one day!

Beautiful getaway

This cabin was what makings in escape dreams are made of. A cozy home with all the details that make it a home instead of a place to stay. Kitchen was stocked with the basics we forgot, the patio was perfect for a comfy breakfast and a wonderful bbq. You can tell the home is loved. The bedrooms and bathroom were clean and comfy. Just an all around great experience.

Summer Girls Trip

We loved this Cabin! Far enough that we felt out in the woods and close enough to get to town in 10 min! The cabin had everything we needed, comfy beds and linens, well stocked kitchen and great fire pit. Greg had simple instructions and directions and made it easy for us to help ourselves. I fell in love with this area!

We had a great time at this cozy little cabin. It was just outside of Breckinridge and close to hiking trails. We were able to stay in and cook several nights with a full kitchen of pots and pans and a full refrigerator and top freezer, and a 4 burner stove with an oven. No dishwasher, but that was not an issue to wash by hand. No washer and dryer, Short on closet space but there were hooks to hang clothes on, so it was not an issue. Master bedroom downstairs and 2 other bedrooms upstairs. One bathroom. The property was decorated so cute and there were plenty of blankets to cozy up with around the house. Lots of electronics if you have kids, and board games as well. Cute patio area with lights for dinners outside with a grill, as well as a good sized living area and dining area inside. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. We were about 2-3 hours away from Denver and also Rocky Mountain National Park. Only about an hour away from Vail. It is such a great location and very private. The owners were very attentive and it was decorated so well. Very clean. A great spot for a get away with or without kids.

Delightfully Cozy Mountain Cabin

My family and I had a fabulous time staying at this property! Greg was very quick to respond to our questions and was very accommodating (even when we had to change our dates early on!). The cabin is ideal for a winter mountain cabin getaway with tons of snow on the property for the kids to play in, beautiful evergreens and mountain scenery through every window, privacy from other cabins, and only about 10 minutes away from the town center of Breckenridge. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Great snowboarding trip!!

Stayed for a long weekend with my brother's. Super clean, beds were very comfortable. Proximity to Brekenridge is fantastic.( it's on the right side of the pass!!) I would definitely stay again. Great spot!!

Great for family of 4

Plenty of space for kids to play in the snow. There were several sleds available, so the kids made a sledding hill in the driveway from the plowed snow bank pile. The staircase is very narrow and upstairs bedrooms have slanted ceilings that adults need to be aware of, but no issues for kids to handle. Would love to visit this cabin again in the summer!

Perfect Family Get Away

Cabin was a great fit for our family of five and was in the perfect location to explore Breckenridge. With Covid, this cabin retreat was the perfect place to safely enjoy the great outdoors and some time together as a family. The view of Red Mountain from the backporch while sitting around the fire surrounded by snow covered pines was absolutely beautiful. Pictures don't do it justice! Close to town with distant neighbors, but with the feel of being isolated out in nature because cabin is surrounded by trees and mountain views. Greg was responsive and provided a detailed list of check-in and check out procedures. The kitchen is small (as advertised) but well stocked..even with tea and other spices=) I may have overlooked it, but a casserole dish would be a useful addition. The kids loved the huge selection of Wii Games. Thanks for recommending a quick kid friendly hike on Boreas Pass. Beautiful overlook views of Breck and the ski slopes. We also did a quick snow hike with the kids nearby at McCullough Gulch. This was the perfect way to spend our Thanksgiving=) Thank you for sharing your cabin with us.

The property was easy to find, quiet & secluded yet close enough to town if you want to make the jaunt. I felt very safe and secure out there in the woods because of the home security system. The cabin had a ton of amenities. We really wanted for nothing. Had a great time playing their guitar hero. I had forgotten how much fun that was. It was easy to upload our streaming channels so that we didn't miss our favorite shows. We were never to cold or to hot and the beds are comfy. I'm having a hard time coming up with a negative, maybe that we couldn't utilize the firepit. Though that was out of everyone's control. Would love to do that in the future as the outdoor lighting and huge adirondack chairs would be perfect for smore grilling and star gazing.

Oct Stay at 29 Gregory Breckenridge CO

Overall, my experience was pretty good. A couple of call outs about the cabin that would improve the experience for future customers: 1) Couch in the living room was not ideal for functional use. Very hard, very small. We ended up not using it at all. The two chairs in the living room were the better sitting options, but even they were extremely small & uncomfortable. My fiancée is a pretty petite woman, and they were even small for her. 2) We never could figure out how to work the TV! We are both pretty tech savoy, and we ultimately gave up trying to use the cable box. 3) Front door needs to have the door jam replaced. Looked to be cracked and made locking the door difficult Despite the above mentioned, everything else in the cabin was satisfactory. The master bed was comfy, so that helped offset the discomfort in the couch. Location was great! Very private, and just what you’d expect with a cabin in the Rockies. Great views! If the living room situation was updated, we would definitely stay here again!

Good place to stay

Overall it’s a good place to stay. However we didn’t like being responsible for disposing of our own trash and recycling (there is no pickup)... that felt too much like camping. We also felt that the proximity to the main road was not ideal. You can easily hear loud tricks all day long. But again, overall it was good.

Rustic setting

Great view, meet our needs perfectly, we enjoyed the woodburning stove on the cooler evenings even in June. Bed on main floor very comfortable which is a must!
