We had a lovely stay. The kitchen was well equipped with enough dishes and cookware. The master bedroom bed was more soft than my preference as was the couch. Overall, a good trip and we would visit again.
Overall we enjoyed our stay. The listing is incorrect as it says there are 5 king beds, but it only has 4 king beds. So, this house only sleeps 8 not 10 people. We did find some cleaning issues upon check-in. There were hairs in all of the beds, some slimy mold build-up around the sink, dirty coffee pot and the porch had layers of dust and spiderwebs hanging from the ceiling. There was also dust on the side tables and headboards in the bedrooms plus some dead roaches in the bedrooms. The neighborhood was quiet and super close to downtown.
There were 2 familys. 7 people total. We were all there for a local baseball tournament. It was a clean safe and private space. The gouse felt very spacious even with that many people.. the washer and dryer were greatvto have with so many baseball games. Downtown Travelers Rest is a very short drive away and it was so cute with its restaurants, brewerys, and ice cream parlor. A great area to walk around on a friday evening. We really enjoyed our stay. We will stay here again if the game should again bring us to the Greenville/Spartanburg area.
The house was clean upon check in. We were excited to see a spacious back yard with all the flowers in bloom. Great kitchen space. The only unexpected thing is that the pull out mattress was included as one of the 5 beds.
We loved our stay in TR. Out daughter attends Furman university so the location was perfect. Quick trip to downtown and furman. We enjoyed the spacious rooms, large kitchen and outdoor area. Kitchen was well stocked.
Owners checked in on us which was very nice too.
The home is nice. It needs minor repairs…doors put on the closet, door on the back screened in porch, ceiling tile on the front porch replaced. Overall the house was clean but the windows and blinds need a deep cleaning.
I would recommend this nice older home. I would stay here again.
Keith is awesome with responding if you need anything.
The house was perfect for our big family. We all had a spacious room with a king sized bed. The kitchen was spacious and gave us plenty of room to prepare food and eat together. By far the best part that will bring us back, is the owners who are beyond kind and were very responsive to everything that we needed. They went out of their way to make sure that we were taken care of.
We had a reunion of old friends from 3 states! House was clean & roomy all we needed for a great weekend ! Only wish we had , if there was a fire pit with some chairs! It was a chilly weekend ! Good location to TR Main Street & restaurants & outings to Greenville!

Loud
There was a dog next door that barked all night long at a neighbors and loud motor cycles at 2 and 3 in the morning both nights. Not located close to town
Zero Safety/Security & Absolutely Nothing like Pictures
Do not rent this property as it is nothing like presented in the photos and an accident waiting to happen. The host is also not a man of integrity.
The entire left side of the backyard gate is broken off so there is unobstructed access to the backyard. Additionally there is no second back patio door and the back door does not have a deadbolt. This is extremely dangerous for any family traveling with small children as they can easily open the backdoor, wander into the backyard and then the street due to the left gate completely missing. Additionally, any person can easily break into this house from the backyard due to the exact same issue.
More issues include an extremely weak WiFi, terrible cooking supplies, no garbage disposal and a very poorly up-kept property in general.
When we arrived at 4pm the cleaners were still there which resulted in the entire house smelling like chemicals and all the dishes still being wet. We also had to lock the front door from the inside and exit out the back since the keypad lock would not lock the front door and no key is provided.
Finally, in addition to misleading guests with his photos, this host approved our support animals via direct message before we booked but then told VRBO that we were violating his house rules by having them.
The host and VRBO also acknowledged that these photos are not accurate but the host refused to refund us.
We checked out the morning after we arrived and booked alternative accommodations. Do yourself a favor and just avoid this property and host from the start.
This was a very cozy place. Well furnished, and not far from things to do. We had three couples stay and was not cramped at all. They've done a great job renovating this home.
