Joshua Tree Desert Duo - B

Desert Air Zen is a contemporary and peaceful retreat where you can relax and unwind. Within short walking distance to all the hot spots in Joshua Tree, farmers market, shops, galleries and restaurants including the famous Joshua Tree Saloon. You will be a ten minute drive to the Joshua Tree National Park entrance.

THE SPACE

Desert Air Zen is a modern, peaceful, restful space with all the comforts of home. This is one of two duplex units separated by two garages so there is plenty of privacy. Newly remodeled with all new appliances, polished concrete floors, modern concrete shower, comfy beds with all cotton sheets and plush carpet. You will be close enough to town to walk, yet it feels private and quiet. All diversity is welcome!

GUEST ACCESS

You have access to the whole house, all to yourself. Garage space is not available to guests but there is off street parking right in front of the building. Self check in gives you flexibility and ease. You will be sent a code to the electronic keypad.

Comfortable & Cozy

The shower was very unique with the concrete, we loved it - super warm shower. The beds & couch were great - so comfortable. Follow the host’s directions on how to get to the house, not the map!

Joshua Tree Zen is pure Zen

We loved our stay. The place was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. Best of all, it was minutes (by car) to the park entrance and best of all we walk to the cafes. Perfect place!

Board Retreat in JT

Awesome house in a great location. Downtown JT within walking distance. Perfect for a 2-3 night stay in JT for a couple with 1-2 young children. I’d stay here again.

Awesome Location but Needs Improvement

There were some cleanliness issues but Elsa and Taylor were very apologetic and concerned and willing to help out in any way, even offering to have someone stop by and do a quick cleaning. We stayed here for a week and ended up leaving a day early because it got so hot inside. Know there is an evaporative cooler type thing that just doesn't feel like it's doing much. It was high 70s/low 80s when we were there and it got so hot inside. There were ceiling fans in the bedrooms and living room but often times, it was cooler outside because of the breeze. I wanted to get the zen feels but the lack of cleanliness and random things like the bedroom ceiling fan shaking violently when you pull the cord like it’s not screwed on all the way or cardboard shoved into the wall to latch the bedroom door just made it feel a bit cheap and hard to relax. I’d suggest getting some good blackout curtains to help block out the heat and some thicker bathroom towels to make the stay a bit more enjoyable. The location is really awesome and we loved being so close to JTNP. The owners were responsive and kind and we appreciated their willingness to address our concerns. The walkability to restaurants and little shops and the high speed internet were great too! The hammock and fire pit were nice in the evenings when it was cooler. Overall, with some improvement, I might come back again, just not in summer!

Magical Joshua tree family trip

There is really nothing bad to say about our experience here. This was an ideal house to spend a week, as we have kids, and with the pandemic, wanted to prepare most of our meals. The kitchen in a well outfitted. The hosts were communicative, and gave us recommendations on everything from dining to great hikes. We are musicians, and travel with instruments, and the property felt very secure. The last VRBO in JT we rented felt a little sketchy, and we would hide our fiddles in the closet every day when we left for hikes! This was an appealing place to cook meals and hang out as a family. Desert Zen is also located in perfect proximity to the national park entrance.

Perfect and close to everything.

Perfect property for us. Nice back area with grill fenced. The owners were wonderful to answer all our questions quickly. Comfortable beds and VERY CLEAN. Only 2-4 miles to commercial shopping. Bottom of hill for great privately owned shops. We would definitely come here again .

My husband and I throughly enjoyed our stay at Joshua Tree Desert Duo! The quarters were very clean, thoughtfully decorated, comfortable, and conveniently located in Joshua Tree near the National Park entrance. Our hosts were very responsive to all questions.

Beautiful house in a good location

We really enjoyed staying at this house It is beautifully decorated , spacious , the beds are very comfortable and it was super clean It is close to the Main Street which was convenient as we had to use the laundromat and ordered food. I would definitely recommend this place
