Terrible experience
Villa was not up to standard at all, broken lamp, outdoors was a mess, mouldy cushions, dirty floor with a dead frog and insects. Pool hadn’t been cleaned. The sunroom was very dirty. Bedroom ceiling patched up but not painted. Netting around the pool had numerous holes in it.Very unkept around villa area, not in line with other villas on street.
Made our way to main office where the owner was very defensive and making loads of excuses. Although they brought. new cushions and fixed lamp,
they made us feel we should be grateful.
We realised there was no iron or board, this took a couple of days to verify with the owners to provide one although it is advertised as having one.
I know they are going to come back with the damage from previous storms but I feel this should have been reflected in the price. They did refund one nights stay as we wasted a couple of days hoping for a villa change.
We were made aware that no one had been in the villa for 5 weeks, I would have thought a freshen up for new guests would be in order. Will think again about booking through VRBO as they obviously do not check the agents.
