Too expensive for what you get

First, this home served its purpose, but for the price I expected more. It is much smaller than it looks in the photos. The furnishings are old and of lower quality. The couch is worn out and stained, the towels are frayed, the dishes and glasses are cheap. The hot water was not on when we arrived, but the rental agency explained how to fix it, and followed up to make sure it worked. I would not complain about these deficiencies if we hadn’t paid so much!!

Ok place to rest your head

This cabin could be really nice, but a few things made it not so great for us. First off, we weren’t allowed access to the garage to park, and in the heavy snow that is a real drag. Secondly we were told the driveway would be plowed, and it wasn’t and we had to do a lot of shoveling snow to be able to get in and out of the driveway. Thirdly, the kitchen was kind of icky. I think the cabinets deserve a good cleaning and the dishes/pots and pans/ silverware/ cups and glasses could use some tidying and an upgrade. Fourth in the list was that we couldn’t get the fireplace to work. And last, the bearskin on the wall really freaked out our kids and has a bit of an odor. It’s a nice location but the property could use some sprucing.

Nice quiet getaway

We loved the location being away from the busyness of the city but still close to everything. Everything we needed for our stay was available in the cabin. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Gorgeous Tahoe Home -- Perfect

My husband and I came to South Lake Tahoe to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary. This is a beautiful home with all the Tahoe decor that I was hoping for. The home is very well maintained and everything was in perfect working order. This home shows great evidence of attention to detail. The home is nestled in tall gorgeous pine trees. The neighborhood is very quiet. We wanted to have time to enjoy Tahoe but we didn't want to be just another tourist. It was nice to have a home to come home to after visiting the sights of South Lake Tahoe. It was also so nice to be able to cook our own meals in a full sized kitchen. Everything needed to cook with was included in the kitchen. Also, there were two outside grills to cook on as well. We love to cook so we had no need to eat out in restaurants. In addition, there is plenty of room to sit and read both inside and outside. We loved sitting on the deck and talking. We enjoyed our stay very much and plan come back sometime in the future. We couldn't be happier. Thank you. Sincerely, Rose

Perfect cabin for a family vacation

Perfect cabin for a family vacation. Loved watching the squirrels and birds from the front deck. Cute cabin décor. Quiet neighborhood. Nice sleeping arrangements for a larger family. Good parking right in front of cabin. Close to town and ski lifts. Would go back again, definitely!

This is a very "Cozy" Mountain getaway Cabin

This a wonderful home with a true mountain feel without being too primitive. Paneling and accouterments in the each room really have a genuine cabin feel. The location is great, off the main congested tourist path yet close access to mingle if you like. The kitchen is open for hosting guests / events, rather than a separate room. The front deck has scenic views of the nearby mountains through the trees. You can walk out the front door and a short walk into the forest without a car trip. I have stayed here many times and enjoy the location. For a mountain getaway you feel like you've been somewhere worthy of talking about. It's not just a room and a kitchen, I highly recommend this home for a stay.
