This well-furnished, clean first-floor apartment is conveniently located on a quiet side street in the village of Bar Harbor. For reference, we also have two other separate rental units on the first and second floor of this 3-family turn-of-the-century home. For more information check out VRBO: Heart of Bar Harbor (HA 4998428) & Acadia Loft (VRBO 2684359). The house is just steps away from the Bar Island Trail, the Shore Path, Harborfront, Village Green, restaurants, shops, grocery store, cinemas, museum, banks, post office, drug store, and all village amenities.

Bar Harbor is a walkable destination, with connector trails to Acadia National Park, and a free Island Explorer bus service located nearby at the Village Green.

The Hideaway unit has off-street parking, an entry foyer, a living room area with L shaped comfy sofa, and flat-screen TV. The living area opens up to a fully appointed kitchen with herbs, spices, coffee and tea, and all the miscellaneous kitchen tools and appliances just like home. Enjoy your morning coffee or tea at the cafe table for two as you plan your day's adventures.

The spacious bedroom has a comfortable queen-size bed, bedside tables, and reading lamps to wind down the day as you rest up for another adventure.

Fabulous Bar Harbor apartment

We loved everything about this place. It was spotless, well located, and the hosts were very accommodating. We really appreciated the spices, coffee, tea and other basics that were there for us. We would absolutely stay there again.

Loved walking everywhere!

We had everything we needed in the apartment, but the best part was its location, we walked almost everywhere. We were just across the street from an amazing grocery and pancake shop. We were also just about a block away from the coastline and enjoyed walking to grant park. It was refreshing to be in such a pristine town, no trash, plastic bags, or fast food places. We really appreciated all the small businesses!

Great house, close to downtown.

Cottage was very clean and well stocked with amenities. Washer and dryer was very useful, as was the full kitchen. Doug was very accommodating and a great host! Very short walk to the heart of downtown Bar Harbor. Free parking was also a plus. A must stay!

Perfect apartment in Bar Harbor

We enjoyed our stay at this well maintained apartment. It was spacious, clean and comfortable for the two of us. The kitchen was well equipped. Being within walking distance to downtown and the grocery store, finding parking wasn't an issue. The owner is very quick to respond to questions.

Great find in Bar Harbor

This was a great location with parking. We were able to park our car and walk to most of what we wanted to do in the city. The apartment was just as described and very well equipped. The kitchen had a full set of pots and pans, plenty of dishes and glassware. In addition, it had a comprehensive set of utensils, grill equipment, coffee maker and toaster. They also included spices, olive oil, etc. overall, delightfully well equipped. Would definitely recommend.

Great week at Bar Harbor

We were vacationing in Bar Harbor and wanted a small place where we could cook meals half the time and be able to walk to most locations in the town. This apartment is in a charming house just up from the main downtown and the waterfront. The apartment was cute, very clean, and well stocked with everything we needed. In spite of its proximity to all the shops and restaurants, it was very quiet at night. We loved this place, and will hope to stay there again when we return.

We could have not asked for more. This property was awesome. From the cleanliness to the communication to the Awesome location we loved it ! Perfect spot to walk to downtown area. Short drive to Arcida. The owners had everything you can ask for in the kitchen to make your stay 5 star Thank you !!

Great location

The home itself is a great place to stay and convenient to walk to all the shops, restaurants etc. the parking for this unit was a bit awkward as you have to park next to the house and it is hard to get in and out of if you have a large vehicle like we did. We ended up having to park on the other side to be able to get in and out. The neighbors didn’t seem to mind. The living room/kitchen was always warm and a bit stuffy as there is no air in that room. Even with 2 fans going that they provided and the one I always travel with.The bedroom was perfect temp with the air. However, the bed is very firm and felt like a box spring mattress. We could not sleep on it, was way too hard for us. We slept on the couch the first night and went to Walmart the next day and purchased an air mattress and used it in the kitchen, just moved the table and chairs to the living room. Slept with the windows open for a breeze. We were gone all day and was only there long enough to sleep, so overall it was ok for us. Just a bit of a hassle with the sleeping arrangement. We didn’t cook at all. Just used the oven at times to reheat leftovers. I would stay here again, as the location is perfect. Would have been better if the mattress was softer and a window unit in the kitchen.

Perfect!!

One word: Perfect!! When we walked in that was our first thought. The space is just rigt for a stay in Bar Harbor. It is super cute, super clean and has everything you could possibly need. The location us also fantastic. You can walk everywhere in Bar Harbor, including the grocery store which is just a few steps away. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Stay

The apartment was perfect for our stay in Bar Harbor. It had everything we needed! It was extremely clean and so adorable. The hosts were quick to respond to any questions. We could walk to restaurants and shops in Bar Harbor. We thoroughly enjoyed going to Acadia National Park as well. What a very special place!

This location was perfect and the apartment was well maintained, super clean, and had everything we needed. Close to everything and a wonderful stay! We had no problems and the owners were very responsive to our only and very simple question. Highly recommended.

Perfect Location with Parking for 6 nights!

We were so happy we booked this apartment for 6 nights in Bar Harbor! We had been traveling and wanted a 'home' instead of a hotel room. A place where we could eat in, do laundry and relax in between trips to Acadia. This apartment is well furnished and cosy and so central to Bar Harbor, we just walked everywhere. Also, having a designated parking place was a real bonus. We would definitely come back to this apartment. Everything was so easy, we never had any reason to contact the owner.

Bar Harbor vacation

My boyfriend and I stayed here in October 2023. Great location, walking distance from Bar Harbor’s many shops and restaurants, as well as Bar Island. It was also an easy drive to Acadia. The apartment is the perfect size for two people. The check in instructions were thorough and the whole process was easy. Highly recommend!

Great stay and great location

Super clean and is just like the pictures and as listed. Fully furnished kitchen. Super easy to walk to the main tourist areas of town and restaurants, so no need to drive and pay for parking. Easy access to Acadia. There’s even an Acadia bus that comes into Bar Harbor.

Simple and clean with dedicated parking, 5 min walk to bayfront, dining, shops downtown. Great breakfast place and a grocery 3 min walk. We enjoyed our stay in beautiful Maine.

Great spot!

We had a very relaxing week - the apartment was spotlessly clean, in a terrific location, and very well stocked. It’s exactly as described and pictured. We loved being right in downtown Bar Harbor. We walked to dinner every night, to the shore path in the mornings, and the buses leave from just a couple blocks away.

Bar Harbors no stress stay

Super hosts. Everything we needed for our stay and much more. Super clean and well stocked. Everything in Bar Harbor within walking distance, super convenient. Close to Acadia for biking and hiking. This is the place we will book again when we return to Maine, no need to look anywhere else. Thanks for a great Maine experience.
