The tree, a ficus watkinsiana, or strangler fig, weighs 440,000 pounds. It is the largest of the zoo’s more than 5,000 trees and is believed to be the largest of its kind in the United States. It is also one of the largest trees ever replanted anywhere in the world. https://zoo.sandiegozoo.org/

Beautiful Lakeside Hilltop Retreat
The property is beautiful inside & out. Our family enjoyed our week in San Diego. The house sits on a hill with beautiful views. Lots of space for the family, many activities to keep the family entertained, with trampoline, horseshoes, privacy, BBQ, fire pit, always cool with good air circulation.

Family trip
Beautiful home with gorgeous views. The kids really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. There are some cameras on the property that were not disclosed in the listing, not an issue but would be nice to know about in advance especially the one above the hot tub.

Perfect spot for our family
This was the perfect place to stay for our family. Everything we wanted to do was within about 30 minutes of the house. Our 8 year old loved the pool and grandma made good use of the recliners. The views were gorgeous. Pictures of the property were accurate and everything was clean. Mark was very helpful with any questions we had and always responded quickly. We would stay again!

Pure Bliss!
My girlfriends and I stayed here for a bachelorette weekend and were so happy with this house. It's exactly as it looks in the pictures, if not even more stunning in person! There are lots of guidelines to the stay, but nothing that takes away from the experience of relaxation, breath-taking views, and an amazing feeling being up on the hills. The host was so communicative and quick to respond. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your home, Mark!

I was born & raised in Boulder, CO. I enjoy fishing, hanging out with friends, but mostly spending time with my to amazing grandkids who live only 5 minutes away :)
Just so you'll know, this is my home; I VRBO it as I travel extensively for work; please treat it as you would want me to treat your home :)

Why they chose this property

I just love everything about the property; the beautiful house with all it's unique touches, the relaxing pool & spa, and the views are nothing short of spectacular.

What makes this property unique

There are several other short term rentals in the area, but none can match the privacy, the peacefulness, and the breathtaking views of this one-of-a-kind property.
