Nantucket Island provides an historic and relaxing seaside escape year-round and so does our very special winterized ‘Sconset home.

The house sits on a VERY large piece of Sconset property, that's steps from the beach and ocean.
Recent renovations includes: heat/AC, hardwood floors throughout, recently renovated modern eat-in kitchen with new stainless steel appliances, spacious living room with island antiques & cable TV, WIFI, laundry room, 1 large bedroom on main floor w/ full bath, 2-large upstairs bedrooms w/ full bath. If you're lucky enough to score an upstairs bedroom, you can catch the nightly glimmers of the majestic Sankaty Head Lighthouse.

Additionally, the property includes back deck (that wraps around the backside of the house and faces into a private yard), toolshed, flagpole & flag, quintessential Nantucket landscaping, and private driveway with parking.

Available for year-round rentals, since the cottage is winterized!

Guest Access:
We are available to meet guests upon arrival, providing cottage access and keys. Or if easier, I am always happy to leave you a key upon arrival

Interaction with Guests:
Always available to our guests via cell & email during their stay, if needed, OR to answer questions about the island. I am typically also a short walk away, in case of emergency

The Neighborhood:
Located just 1-block from the ocean, and across the street from the famous sconset bluff walk, this charming home celebrates all the beauty of Siaconset, better known as ‘Sconset. Just a 5-minute walk to ‘Sconset village, beach, and Sankaty Head Lighthouse & golf course, you can enjoy all the joys of the island’s only true village.

‘SCONSET VILLAGE, BLUFF WALK & BEACH: Located at the eastern end of the island, Siasconset was settled in the early 17th century as a fishing village. Full of history and unique, charming beauty, ‘Sconset is a vibrant and welcoming community! The unique character of ’Sconset Village is due to the extensive conservation and preservation of the area and structures of historic & architectural significance in and around the village. Be sure and check out ‘Sconset Market and Claudette’s, for a tasty sandwich as you head to the beach or stroll through the rose cottages that hug the picturesque coastline. Additionally, the famous & delicious Summer House Beachside Bistro, Nantucket’s only restaurant overlooking the Atlantic Ocean on the eastern end, is located in ‘Sconset and cannot be missed, if you are looking for an evening of fine dining & island elegance!

SANKATY HEAD LIGHTHOUSE: This epic, historic lighthouse stands as a sentinel for all who come to visit and enjoy the peaceful setting atop Sankaty Head bluff, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and Sankaty Golf Club.

Getting Around:
Nantucket has car and moped rental services, bike rentals, taxis, Uber, and public transportation. Coming to the island without a car can be much easier with all of these options; however, if you do rent or bring a car, the cottage has its own private driveway that can accommodate several vehicles or other modes of transportation.

Nantucket is very pedestrian friendly, and it can be faster to get around on foot or bike due to the congestion in the summer. The island has an extensive network of bike paths, which make traveling by bike quite efficient. Walking and biking are also a great way to experience the many historic sites and natural beauty on Nantucket. Luckily our home is located directly across the street!

5-MINUTE WALK: ‘Sconset Village (‘Sconset Market, Claudette’s, Summer House, Sconset Casino, the Chanticleer...),‘Sconset Public Beach, Sankaty Head Lighthouse, Sankaty Golf Club, Nantucket Moors

JUST STEPS FROM: Island Bike Path, Island Bus Stop (NRTA, WAVE), Sconset Beach, the Bluff Walk & Sconset Village (grocery store, fine dining, art galleries and much more...)

10-MINUTE DRIVE: Rotary (grocery store, restaurants, beaches), Bartlett’s Farm, Airport, & Cisco Brewery

15-MINUTE DRIVE: Center of Town, Ferries, & all island public beaches

Sconset Getaway

This is a spacious lovely home with plenty of yard to enjoy the quiet beauty of Nantucket. Walking distance to Sconset attractions, but removed from any noise and crowded housing.

Dirtiest House, toaster was highlight

We had an incredibly disappointing surprise when we entered the home on a Sunday afternoon two hours earlier than the usual check in. It was nice of the homeowner to allow us an early check-in but a clean house would have been much more appreciated. There were cobwebs all over the ceilings and dust bunnies under the beds. One of the couples staying with us found a dead bug in her bed. A dirty towel was hanging behind one of the bedroom doors and nothing had been wiped clean so dust was piled on surfaces such as the TVs and bureaus. When we opened the coffee maker to brew apart our first morning, we found that there was an old filter still inside and mold growing on the edges of where it sits. In addition to the uncleanliness that was visible immediately, my son began having an asthma attack and we did a more thorough inspection only to find all of the windows covered in mold and debris inside of the windowsills like dead bugs, etc. no one had vacuumed because there was a broken bottle under the kitchen table and pieces of the glass had ricocheted to other areas in the kitchen and dining area. My son stepped on glass and we discovered the pile of glass under the table a few hours later. The homeowner was extremely rude when we expressed to him our concerns and told us he had done a walk-through and the house was spotless. We took many pictures to document the issues with the home and have saved all correspondence between ourselves and Mr. Pastore. I would never recommend this property for anything other than the toaster and the location.

A Perfect Stay.

Our family of five loved every minute of our month in this lovely spot in Sconset! The house is stocked with everything one could need for beach fun or dinner at home. We appreciated all of the old postcards of Sconset landmarks, the collection of books and thoughtful touches of Nantucket throughout the house. A beautiful property in a great, convenient location and Charles couldn’t have been easier to coordinate with. Thank you for a perfect stay!

Amazing week in lovely sconset house

Our stay was simply amazing. The house was perfect for a week stay with friends and family. The house is more updated than the pictures do justice. The area is very quiet, with short walks to the beach, the sconset store, and few restaurants. Charles was a great host and was very responsive. I would definitely recommend!

Wonderful Sconset Getaway!

We had the BEST time! Charles is a wonderful host with a quintessential Sconset home. The house is well equipped and very comfortable. The common living space is larger than I expected from the pictures and perfect for relaxing Sconset evenings reading or playing games. The outdoor deck was lovely for meals and we used the yard chairs too for cocktail hour and a few Zoom calls (sign of our times). The yard is large and open- perfect for badminton, frisbee, wiffle ball, tag, etc. We were 100% delighted! Thank you Charles and we give high recommendation to anyone who loves a quiet Sconset stay.

Beautiful location, great house with charm!

Loved the quieter location in sconset for relaxing! Great house filled with charm! Plenty of room for our party of 6; and Charles was very responsive & accommodating! We will definitely try to stay here again the next time we’re in Nantucket! I highly recommend this listing if you want quiet and R&R! It is about 15 minute walk to town& market , but that didn’t bother us b/c it was a beautiful walk!!

Family Sconset vacation

We had a spectacular time in Sconset. The house is well kept and had plenty of room for family of 5. Kids enjoyed the huge yard. Short bike ride or walk to the Sconset Market and Sankaty lighthouse. Owners were very accommodating and easily accessible. Definitely will be back.

Enchanting Lighthouse Cottage Siasconset | Property ID 787194

Lighthouse Cottage was amazing, great weekend getaway. The nautical island theme, paintings, antique furniture, the well-kept landscape made it a relaxing and enjoyable stay away from the hustle and bustle of town. Charles was waiting for us when we arrived to make sure we had everything we needed for the weekend he was very accommodating host.. I highly recommend The Enchanted Lighthouse Cottage.
