We were in town for a wedding. Location was very good. Place was clean. The chickens were cool, had 2 eggs Sunday morning.
For a 95 year old place it was in very good shape.
The property was incredible, expansive and well-cared for in every aspect. Perfect distance to and from downtown Charlevoix and Petoskey. Access to beaches at Lake Michigan and Lake Charlevoix is never far nor inconvenient. The chickens on the property were a big hit with our group and added to the farmhouse feel. We had a tremendous stay and would certainly recommend the house.

Beautiful Property
After some initial bumps trying to get check in information we had a very nice stay. The house is lovely and comfortable. It's close to a main road but we were not bothered by the traffic noise at all. We were a bit intimated by the old fashion stove but managed to figure it out. You don't have to leave the property to take a hike. The property offers a nice variety of habitats. It is close to several parks, beautiful beaches, and great shopping.
We stayed to be closer to our wedding venue an everything was great. If you forget something don’t worry they thought of everything. So glad I was here instead of a hotel because you can relax. Plenty of space to do it here. That Stove was so Cool 😎 The Mueller’s

Adequate
It was a place to sleep. We were there for a family wedding in Charlevoix and this was the place we found that would fit our family.
There were elements of the venue that were below expectation
Pictures can't do justice to the beauty of this lovingly tended farm. We enjoyed the view from the house of the meadows and woods, and explored them up close on long walks each day. Our family of 8 adults was able to coordinate around the single bathroom quite easily, and the kitchen was perfect for meal preparation. Kayaking, hiking and a little shopping were all within easy drives. We're so grateful the hosts chose to share their farm with others!
The property is amazing if your looking to stay in a farmhouse with a ton of land. Any young kid will love it. Chickens roaming the property trails to walk or ride bikes on. Fire pit with wood. Just a few minutes from the beach and downtown Charlivoix.
My only negative is that the inside was kinda dirty, refering to the floor and furniture Lots of dust and dog hair. I actually used the duster to dust the place myself which I didnt mind. Depite this I wouldnt hesitate to go back again.
We stayed here 4 nights with family for a wedding at Castle Farms. It was so nice to have this quiet, peaceful place to come home to during our stay. There were plenty of beds for us. Only one bath but we made it work no problem. The property is amazing. Over 100 acres of land and trails to explore, large fire pit, chickens and fresh farm eggs. The kids loved collecting the eggs every morning. Sherry was very responsive to our questions. You won’t be disappointed.
Peacefully rural yet convenient to Downtown Charlevoix
This charming farmhouse is very clean and a great place to stay if you like some space and a lovely view of a barn and field. We were very happy with the accommodations and enjoyed our stay with these kind hosts.
Home was perfect for our needs. Location worked very well. It's close to a busy road, but that was much more of a plus than a negative for us. Chickens were super friendly and we enjoyed the fresh eggs! Home is well stocked and furnishings are very nice. We really liked the old farmhouse sink and making breakfast on the antique stove. Would definitely choose again, if in the area. Thank you!
We had a really wonderful stay. We loved the fresh eggs in the morning. The house was very comfortable. I liked the simple farmhouse feel. The house sits fairly close to M31. I was concerned when I saw it. However, it wasn’t a problem at all. We slept great. Traffic is very light at night. I would recommend staying here. The host Sherry was terrific and very responsive.
What a wonderful place to stay! The property is beautiful and located just a few minutes outside of town. We enjoyed being greeted by the hens each time we went outside. Our kids loved exploring the property, collecting chicken eggs, and picking wildflowers from the field. The house was very warm and welcoming. There was plenty of space for our two families (4 adults and 6 kids). The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. Plenty of towels and linens. As others have mentioned, it is very close to the road and the cars are a bit loud at night, but that did not bother us. Our visit was a short 2 night stay and wish we could have stayed longer! Definitely recommend this beautiful farmhouse!
Thank you so much for opening your home to us. It truly has been one of relaxation, simple living, and beautiful surroundings. We enjoyed walking the property multiple times a day! It was so great to unwind and truly relax! We have had many vacations with palm trees and pools, this by far has been one where our family connected. Playing board games, talking, watching movies, and being thankful for the gifts God has given our family. We loved the cozy home! It was perfect for our family! No hustle bustle. Pure county. Thanks again! We will definitely be back in the future! Riale family!
This is a great space to unwind and get away while still being close to amenities of Traverse City and Charlevoix. Sherry was kind and responsive and even went out and bought a new grill when I notified that the one on site was not functioning. Really appreciated the hospitality and gesture. They were doing some work on the property at the time so there was less privacy than expected when booking to have the place to ourselves, but I’m sure the additions have made the place all that much more enjoyable.
My family and I really enjoyed our three night stay at this charming farmhouse for the Charlevoix Apple fest. The home is very comfortable and nicely set on a lovely farm complete with chickens that lay eggs that we collected for our breakfast. The night skies were beautiful and we had great views of the Milky Way, shooting stars and satellites passing by. Charlevoix is only a few minutes away even with the current construction on the main road.
We had never been in the area before so every experience was new. We loved Charlevoix and enjoyed the friendly people. The farm house and location was delightful. And the four friendly chickens were always there to greet us upon our return home! Beautiful stay!
Our group had a great experience here! The place was clean and well kept and the property was beautiful to walk around. We had fun collecting eggs in the morning from the chicken coop to cook for our breakfast. Definitely recommend!
Simply put, this property is amazing. If you love to be outside, walking, running or exploring this is your place. The only downside is the house is close to the highway, which can be loud sometimes. Bring a sound machine for sleeping. There is also a fire pit (I didn’t see any wood, you might need to bring your own ) and nice grill to use.
We had the most wonderful weekend with our two teenage kids at the Something Blue Farm. Our teens, who typically love to be on their phones, instead spent most at of the time outside exploring the 117 acres of property. We would recommend doing the same! The house was very clean and the beds were all very comfortable. The farm style kitchen was very well stocked and equipped. Everything about the property is charming and welcoming and we hope to return soon!
When you rent an "old farmhouse" you expect to be put off a bit by the condition of the property, furnishings, cleanliness, comfort of the place. After all...it is an old farm house. This place was warm (new windows and doors and good insulation), super clean in every corner, comfortable furniture, a very cool 100 year old stove that I want at my house, very comfortable new beds, clean linens (really nice soft sheets), giant shower with great head and pressure. They didn't even show the 60" TV in the photos if you like TV on a cold evening. Live chickens, and really nice property. We hiked the 117 acres of open land, lowlands, and hardwoods. We will be back for sure. Plenty of room for a few couples or small family. GREAT PLACE!
Charming home from 1920's. We enjoyed walking around the farm and interacting with the chickens. Everything was great except the house is so close to the highway so there is a lot of noise from passing cars and trucks.
