About this property

The Savannah Beach & Racquet Club is a gated bay front complex located on the quiet North end of Tybee Island. The Bay is where the Savannah River meets the Atlantic Ocean. There is a wonderful beach area just steps from the condo. This area of the beach is known to be very family friendly as it is less crowded. The location is great for dolphin watching, watching large ship containers travel into savannah port. If you enjoying walking along the beach you can walk all the way to the South end of the Island, without leaving the sand. The Beach & Racquet Club is a great alternative to staying at a hotel room on the island. Enjoy more space and amenities like fully equipped kitchens, living room with cable TV, private balconies, tennis courts, and pool. All of the one-bedroom condos share use of a 14'x20' pool and 10"x10' kiddie pool. A&B building condos have coin-operate laundry on each floor. There is parking for 1 vehicle only, NO GOLF CARTS, TRAILERS, BOATS, JET SKI'S or OVERSIZE VEHICLES ALLOWED.

Just Lovely

Our stay was fantastic! Just as described in the advertisement. Right on the water, we saw dolphins jumping as we sat on the balcony. Enjoyed the large container ships going into the port. The large and smaller shrimp boats go by... The beach... just down the boardwalk. The pool was very clean and comfortable. The condo itself was very clean and restful. Beach getaway

Just as described! Owner was easy to contact and reply! Very peaceful, Dolphins up and down everyday! Beautiful sunsets! Great food nearby the crab shack and the sunrise grill to name a few.

So enjoyable!

The unit had ample kitchen supplies for cooking from scratch. The view was great! The unit was clean (and we tipped the cleaning person in the envelope she left in order to let her know she did a good job with the living space.) If there were any issues it’s that the fan in the bathroom does not work so it gets really steamy in there. Under the sink there was a lot of dirt. We would have liked more than three pillows because they were not fluffy and supportive. I wish there was more dish soap and a scrub sponge provided. I had to buy soap pads. Overall a great unit to stay in at SBRC despite these smallish issues.

Best place for viewing dolphins

Area of condo was quaint and not overly commercial. It was nice to be out of the hustle and bustle. The condo itself hasn’t been updated since it was built so it’s probably 1980’s with wood paneling and old oak cabinets. It was very clean though and made me feel like I was at my mom’s house. Don’t waste your money on a dolphin cruise, you won’t need it here. We enjoyed watching the dolphins on a daily basis and were sad to leave.

First trip to Tybee Island

Views were great. Bed was comfortable. Condo was very outdated, but we spent most of our time on the beach, and only slept in the condo so it was okay for just the two of us.

Great location! Wonderful view!!

The property is in a convenient location close to shipping and restaurants, very close to lighthouse and marine science center. The balcony has a great view of the beach, we saw fishing boats, dolphins, large cargo ships. It was a quiet, more laid back area which I really appreciated. The bed was comfy...bonus! I used my pillows from home, so not sure about those.

Condo experience

Issue with receptacle at the lavatory in bathroom not working. Told the lady at the office about it when we returned the keys to the office at check out. Our stay was very relaxing which was what we needed. Hopefully we will get to come back soon.

Restful Beachfront, Great Location

Had a great time at Tybee Island. This property is definitely on a quieter part of the island away from the crowds and congestion. Super convenient beach access, nice pool, convenient tennis and pickleball facilities onsite, and easy biking and even walking distance from a handful of shops and restaurants. The unit is a bit dated but clean and comfortable. Great for families and we'd definitely stay there again.

Fun in the sun

We really enjoyed the pool, the beach, and the view from the balcony. Many dolphins, osprey, and pelicans to watch. The property itself was rather minimally stocked with few dishes and utensils. We had trouble with the tv, (but we are not very techy), and the bed/head board creaked with every turnover.
