Poor communication

The whole experience was just a little bit sketchy. The property management company that manages this place marketed it in a slightly untruthful way. The listing said queen beds but there were only full beds. When I contacted management to cancel the last day of my trip, I never got a response. The price and extra fees were just not worth the impersonal, poor experience.

Do not stay

I had a really bad experience with the customer service as there was a hurricane hitting this weekend and they wouldn’t offer a credit, dates to be moved, or any sort of leniency at all to help us out. It was a really terrible situation to be quite frank that Charlotte had a bunch of power outages and hurricane Ian was scary to drive in to come to Charlotte. Wouldn’t recommend. While under a NC state of emergency they replied back to me “get here safe!” I’m honestly appalled they would do NOTHING to help when we were willing to work with them on anything that could be done. 0/10.

Cute space but very drafty

Amenities and decor were bright and beautiful. Good flow and function of the floor plan. However, whoever was used to clean, especially at the fee charge, was not worth the effort. We spent the first day cleaning the entire house. Unfortunately, we arrived on the coldest days of the year and this older house had wind blowing right through the walls and, the heat could not keep up so we were very cold also no place to hang any clothes on or store suitcases, barely any place to hang a towel… Just no practical storage use at all. Also, there was a definite need for repair in several of the house areas. The floor was nearly falling through in one spot. The drains were not draining in the showers which was gross so yeah…Very pretty place. Sadly not well maintained. Nice location, horrible parking and horrible cleaning team.

Great location and excellent service

TLDR: We had a great stay and encourage you to book your stay ! Great home decor, good location with easy access to all Charlotte has to offer. This is an older home that requires maintenance. Excellent service to resolve issues on site. We stayed at this home in November and had a good stay. Communication with the owners was easy and quick. Two examples that stand out are 1/had an issue with the toilet and someone came to help by the next day of our stay 2/needed more trash bags and those were sent to us through delivery that day. Good hosts who’d I’d go back too again. Things to note are that the property is well decorated but the home is still older. As mentioned we had an issue with the main level toilet that needed to be serviced. There was also some old home supplies (windows) in the backyard that our group moved for safety. We told the hosts this and they apologized for the oversight. Their recognition of this concern was genuine and responsive. That made us more willing to make sure it was taken care of for another guest. Location is really great! The yard and fire pit was a huge hit while we relaxed that evening. Parking was okay on property and within neighborhood.

Great location, with easy accessibility! Great place for people of all ages!

Ages of our group ranged from three years old to 97 years old, and it worked for everyone! Amazing location, just outside of downtown Charlotte, with a great park and pool across the street. Also has a nice sized backyard with a fire pit for those warm Charlotte evenings. Also, the owner was readily available

Cute and cozy home in need of a little TLC

let me begin by saying the host was super accessible and nice. The house is cute but in need of some basic home care and a few furniture items... In one of the bedrooms there is a nice bedside table with a lamp, but no outlets to actually plug it in. There was only one outlet in the entire bedroom and it was difficult getting a phone charger to stay plugged into it. The desk chair in the room is broken. The sofa in the living room needs to be replaced, it was probably the worst sofa we have encountered. The kitchen area functioned well and was well appointed. Nice art on the walls. We thought it was just time for the house to get a little attention. Nice outdoor area!

Cute older home w

We went to Charlotte for a girls trip and stayed in this cute older home. The house is cute but I can not give it 4 stars. The biggest complaint I have is the bathrooms. The house has 2 bathrooms but one bathroom has a toilet with no leg room and no counter space. I’m 5f3i (about 130lbs) and had to sit at an angle on the toilet to use it comfortably. The house has been updated but there are still weird quirks like the lamp in the guest bedroom does not have an outlet so it does not work unless you get an extension cord. One recommendation would be to get a full length mirror. The fire pit was cute but due to weather we weren’t able to use it. Beds were comfortable but sleeping was a little rough due to road noise. Overall we had a great time playing games around the kitchen table and cooking. 4 stars for the cute Charlotte bungalow

Perfect Covid Stay

I loved this property but can’t give it a five star. The kitchen was beautiful and I was able to cook a whole Thanksgiving dinner. It’s an older home and there was a bit of a musky moldy smell that probably won’t bother most people. There was a fantastic backyard fire pit that we enjoyed every night. The neighborhood is a bit transitional but an easy walking distance to the train, and we loved that. One of the bedrooms is not well insulated, in fact, there is a gap under a door which directly communicates to the outside. Great ventilation but a little chilly. I didn’t get the check in instructions until the day of arrival, and this was a little unnerving for me as most properties give me check in instructions the day before. It was a great price point however and I think it’s a fantastic property for a group who doesn’t mind putting up with these tiny little idiosyncrasies.

Awesome Location

We stayed here for 4 days and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The directions for check-in and check out were very detailed and easy to follow. The home looks exactly as pictured and it more than accommodated us for our stay. The reviews are accurate when it states the house is located on a busy street and can be a bit noisy due to cars riding by but this didn't bother us at all. The fire pit outside was our favorite spot and was perfect with the cold weather at night. This home is also located near the Noda district which houses various shops and wonderful eateries. I would most definitely stay here again!

Villa Heights House

Overall very nice place. Beds very comfy, nice linens, plenty of clean towels, well decorated and entire house was clean on inside. The only downsides are that the house is on a busy street and the front bedroom is loud (my teenager slept fine in that room but I did not) and there were little things missing. For instance there are stylish bedside lamps, but no way to plug them in b/c there are no outlets close enough and I bought extension cords to use for the week. There wasn’t a lot of choice for pots and pans but the kitchen is a nice size and it gave us more of an excuse to eat out or get take out. The neighborhood of Villa Heights is fabulous - beautiful parks close by and Optimist Hall with its awesome outdoor area and upscale food court was a great place to spend time. Overall we had a very nice stay.

Super clean, awesome back yard, great updated interior and renovations. The road outside is busy and loud, but aside from that, it was an excellent home for our family.
