Eagle's Nest For Great Hikes, Local Breweries and Coffee Shops.
••Cleaned and sanitized after each guest’s stay for your protection and health.
This unique Montana little dream house has all the comforts you will need. It is a re-purposed mini house. The kitchen and bathroom counter tops are made of blued pine and trimmed with corrugated metal. The exterior is also trimmed with re-purposed corrugated metal and landscaped with railroad ties. This little gem with its outdoor shower and charm will enhance your summer getaway for great memories.
The unit reeks of a true Montana experience with the indoor smell of the knotty pine woods. The outdoor shower is one of a kind and highly recommended. (You wouldn't know that the toilet was a compost.) The kitchen area has a small refrigerator, a microwave, a coffee machine with counter and log stools. There is a grill for outdoor additional cooking and a fire pit that may be used unless the fire danger in the area is too high.
There is also a hot tub that is available for a short walk down the drive. It is also available to another rental on the property (The Whispering Moose) but most renters are out enjoying the area so there is always plenty of opportunity to have your own personal time in it. At night the stars are magnificent.
There is wifi and television available. No landline telephone is available so texting or face time through wifi are the way to communicate in this rental.
This rental will provide you with a unique relaxing time that you will be able to create memories to share with each other and your friends and remember for years.
The area is rather quiet other than an occasional lawn mower keeping the grasses short which protected this property from being destroyed during a fire 6 years ago. It is common to see deer, turkeys, birds of all kinds, elk, moose or bear.
This is close to Missoula with the opportunity to experience the mountains of Montana in an up close and personal way.

Great location to explore many beautiful places in the area!!
The outdoor shower was fantastic!! Location was perfect for us to get out and explore!! The compost toilet wasn’t that bad at all. It would have been nice to have a door for a little more privacy but overall a great place!!
I deeply appreciated the combination of comfort, privacy and safety I found at The Eagles Nest during my solo trip to the Bitteroot Mountains. It was delightful to soak in a hot tub after a long hike in the mountains and after returning from an adventure with a flat tire, the host was gracious enough to fill my tire with enough air to get to town.
Amazing place to stay, people were nice, beautiful scenery with lots of wildlife and I recommend going on the dirt roads!! Outdoor shower was the bomb hot tub was wonderful after exploring the outdoors, and the jack bar was fun with good food and the steakhouse and disterillery was amazing.
We had the best stay at the Eagles Nest! The hosts, Jan and Ron, were super friendly when we chatted a bit. This property is in an amazing location and close to hiking trails!
The Eagle Nest was a fantastic place for my wife and I. It is extremely cozy and well done and maintained. The outdoor shower is great and Jan and Ron were great host to top if all off. Highly recommend staying here if you are visiting the area
Property was beautiful and clean. The hosts were so awesome. I would've enjoyed just sitting on the porch hanging out having coffee or a cocktail with them. The surroundings and nature was spectacular.
The only trouble we had was the map didn't have accurate instructions. We emailed Jan and had an immediate response! It was a very clean, charming and beautiful place. It was very relaxing and saw deer. Great, but we had to cut it short due to a death in our family.
The cabin was ideal for me as a single person. Bed was comfortable and the kitchenette was useful. I LOVED the outdoor shower in the early evening when the sun is on your face while showering. Close to multiple hikes, restaurants and amenities. Hosts were fantastic. I’ll likely be back.
The property was beautiful. The cabin is clean and cozy with all of modern amenities along with the rustic charm with that authentic Montana feel. The outdoor shower was excellent. Jan and Ron are wonderful hosts. We will stay there again in the future. A++++++++
We really enjoyed our stay here! For just my husband and I, it was great. The small kitchen had enough of what we needed and the grill/griddle outside made it easy enough to prep small meals without having a stove top. Everything was super clean. We loved the outside shower however I will mention that at night or in windy weather it was quite chilly. The compost toilet took some getting used to but was fine. The only thing I really didn’t get used to was a sheer curtain on the toilet space. I love my husband but I like privacy on the can and it’s close quarters in there so he outside. Otherwise we had a nice time here

Missoula tiny home
The house is exactly as described. The pictures were accurate of the house. They were taken at a perfect angle to imply seclusion. It is not secluded. There is a storage container, 2 RVs & a residence within 100 yds. Disappointing.
The Eagles Nest was cozy and everything we had hoped for! Located off scenic Hwy 12 provided an amazing view with wildlife, driving/hiking trails, shopping, restaurants and entertainment conveniently located nearby. The hospitality from Jan and Ron were top notch. The cabin provided on demand hot water, portable AC, a blackstone grill, fire pit, comfortable bed, small fridge with a separate freezer compartment, WiFi, and about anything else you might have needed. We enjoyed cooking most of our meals at the cabin and the amenities made that a breeze. The outdoor shower was nice and the compost toilet wasn’t as freighting as I feared. There was a hot tub, but we didn’t use it. I highly recommend The Eagles Nest and would definitely stay there again if travels take us that direction. They also have a large cabin with a full kitchen and indoor plumbing nearby if that better fits your needs. Thanks Jan and Ron for making our “work trip” more enjoyable!
Came out to Missoula to see my sister, who was interning with the paddle heads, and found this little gem outside of town and absolutely loved it. Very clean and Jan was fantastic! I cannot wait to come back!
My husband and I were visiting Missoula to see a show at the Kettlehouse Amphitheatre. We weren't looking for a 1 room hotel...we wanted something with a little more personality and Eagles Nest checked all of the boxes. Location wise, this spot was perfect. It is close enough to town (15 minute drive) yet far enough away to enjoy the peacefulness of the mountains. The Amphitheatre was about a 30 minute drive (amazing venue - highly recommend checking out some live music there if you can!). The cabin is secluded and quiet. There is another cabin on the property as well as the owners home. This did not affect our feeling of privacy and in fact, we really enjoyed getting to know the other guests and the owners! The first thing you will notice about the cabin itself is the cleanliness! It is very well kept and stocked. We enjoyed making meals using the Blackstone grill and dining set that are onsite. If you plan to do this, then just BYO special condiments/utensils you like (the basics are provided). There is also a fantastic steakhouse nearby and a pub up the road the other way. Both are just a few mins drive from the property so you won't be stuck if you decide you don't want to cook (also, Missoula is great for restaurants). We had no issues with the compost toilet and the outdoor shower was really something special. My husband took full advantage of the hot tub each night and said that the stars were an amazing site to see. We did a few easy hikes and when we were feeling lazy, we just set up some lounge chairs that we'd brought and relaxed in the yard with some cold drinks. We loved this place and the owners are very kind and welcoming people. We are already thinking about when we can return!!
My husband and I enjoyed our 7-day stay. The outdoor shower was really nice and the tiny house was cozy. We mostly slept and ate breakfast here and spent the rest of the time hiking and enjoying visiting with family for a family wedding.
