About this space:

Situated on the Ruby Coast at the gateway to the Tasman Region, our oasis is the perfect place to relax or explore the Abel Tasman National Park.

As soon as you arrive, you will be mesmerized by the uninterrupted sea views and beautifully landscaped gardens.

With four bedrooms, two bathrooms, there is plenty of space for everyone.

Facilities include a hot tub, outdoor fire, kayaks, BBQ area, outdoor lounges, fully enclosed lawn and gardens & more.

The space:

Located right on the beach front in Ruby Bay, our place is the perfect spot to unwind and relax, or make the most of the outdoors.

Our house is the perfect mix of modern and retro; you will have fun exploring some of the eclectic decor. It is as comfortable and as homely as you can get. There are four bedrooms with two bathrooms. External stairs connect the upstairs and downstairs. There is a caravan available on request if you have extra guests.

Enjoy the outdoor hot tub, take the kayaks out on the bay in front of the house, wash the sand off in the outdoor shower and have a drink on the deck while the sun goes down.

Getting there couldn't be easier. Less than 30 mins drive from the airport, the Tasman region has a plethora of activities at the ready. From award winning restaurants and cafes at the Mapua wharf, to breweries, galleries, Abel Tasman National Park, and the Great Taste Trail on your doorstep.

Great place to stay for some R&R!
We had a great time, staying three nights with our two kids (4 and 1). Great cozy house (we just stayed upstairs) and very accessible to the various tourist spots across Tasman/Golden Bay + accessible to Nelson/Richmond and Motueka. Kids loved the place and especially the container of duplo! Thanks for having us Sue!

The Costa Ruby was the perfect place to stay, we were not disappointed. Every detail was taken care of, making it a home away from home. Sue & Whitney were fantastic hosts, they were very organised and the communication we received from the time we booked, lead up to our arrival, the information booklet at the property and responsiveness to our texts showed we were important to them. The home was well appointed, even catering for your entertainment needs with kayaks, hot tub, games and local information. Absolutely loved the decor - it made the home feel so welcoming. Highly recommend this place, we would certainly come back and stay at this location again Thanks for having us - 5 stars from us!!

What a magical gem in an amazing location
This has been one of our favorite picks in the Tasman / Nelson area. The property is quirky, stylish, functional and lovely. The beach right out back is gorgeous. Nearby Māpua wharf became a regular visit for the family and we enjoyed every aspect of this place, the walking paths, the food, the shells. A little slice of heaven on earth.

Lovely family villa. We all stayed on the top floor no issues and used the bedrooms below to store luggage. Gorgeous spot on the beach. We cycled and went for long walks. The takeaway next door had great Thai!

We had an amazing stay at Costa Ruby, perfect for our “girls weekend”. The house has been perfectly set up and we can’t wait to come back with the guys. There is a wonderful mix of modern and retro that will be guaranteed to take you down memory lane. A total credit to the hostess:)

Fantastic location on the beach. Lounge has large windows overlooking the sea - spectacular sunrises
Plenty of room, outstanding gardens and multiple areas to dine outdoors and relax. Hot tub in immaculate condition. Retro style interiors, large TV and open fire or heat pump. Perfect for our 4 day stay and only 10 mins drive from Motueka. Interesting antique shops and cafes just 5 mins away in Mapua.

Perfect for a relaxing break- would book again!
This bach suited us perfectly for a family of 6. We watched the sunrise and the kids kayak from the deck in the morning, dinner on the back deck at sunset, long walks on the beach at dusk. First book-a-bach we have stayed where we felt that really comfortable 'summer-bach-holiday' feeling. Bach has everything needed-plenty of space inside & outside & very clean and comfortable. hosts were super helpful and contactable. great location

A fabulous retro 2 bed house upstairs and a modern apartment downstairs. Well appointed and great extras like the kayaks and the spa pool which both got lots of use. Close to lots of fun stuff like Abel Tasman, Biking / mountain biking vineyards etc. The whole family loved our stay, and owners went the extra mile to send us back a key we left behind.

That holiday you dreamed of
Everything we may have even dreamed of having was available - right down to the hairdryer. The house was so roomy, homely (nostalgia everywhere) and the property immaculate. The spacious deck provides plenty of options. It was the perfect getaway for a group of friends. Sue ensured we had the best possible stay in their patch of paradise.

Very well appointed house; brilliant location on beachfront and we all loved the landscaping and art/sculptures that were slowly discovered all round property. An inability to get dvd working was also quickly sorted. Would highly recommend it and go again. Thanks for lovely stay.

After holidaying in the region for the past 20 years, it was time to have our own place to call our own. Drawn to the warm climate, friendly locals and being so close to the water, it was an easy decision to make.
