Secluded Getaway

If seclusion is your choice of getaways , ‘The Top of the Hill’’ fits the bill! This apartment is nestled at the top of a steep wooded and windy road. It is a charming 1 bedroom with an additional hide-a-bed with large tiled floors, open and airy and all of the necessities you would need plus 2 caring and gracious hosts! The apartment is in close proximity to restaurants and grocery stores! We would definitely stay there again!

Peaceful

Property was beautiful and we enjoyed the quiet evenings on the deck. Tenino had a great park to bring the grandson. The owners were friendly and helpful.

Tiny Tenino Apartment

This was a perfect little spot for me. The location seemed remote because of the dense woods and the long dirt driveway, but it was gorgeous and closer to Tenino than you’d expect. I started out by myself, and then my husband joined me for the last couple days of my stay. Jack and Joelle were so nice and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again the next time I visit my daughter, who lives in Tenino.

"Beauty & the Beast"-a True ❤ Story!!

This is a true love story...the first few times making our way up the winding, steep, turns of the gravelly 1/4 mile hill (the Beast)- required much courage for this Mom & my Disney son; (without AWD) - but at the very top stands a haven- very originally designed & a pleasure to just relax & take in the details of this apartment, which feels like a very roomy guesthouse! Meeting Princess Joelle was an instant remedy; feeling at home every night 🌙 after my travel nurse job! She has a genuinely warm & lovely countenance, & blue eyes bright with adventure & caring of every detail for her charges' stay & comfort! My son has mild Autism, & relates to the Beast in the movie, a big young man like a bull in a China shop- he broke one of Miss Joelle's pretty drinking glasses in short order doing dishes 😢 but was met with no forgiveness necessary- she is truly a compassionate spirit perfect for her calling of making folks feel inspired & comforted. The ceilings were much higher than the pics can show, the flooring is gorgeous, the hunter green fireplace (which we didn't use, as there was alternative heat) was a very nice focal point to the living area- furnishings were very suiting, & simply homey charm! We loved the flow of this home! My only suggestion would be perhaps a stackable washer/dryer - we would gladly pay what the laundromat 20 minutes away charges- to have more time on my days off to explore the area! I am also planning to buy wet weather gear so we can walk the countryside like we are local folk! The only tragic ending was my two jobs too far away- which Mr. Jack had wisely warned me of before renting- I'm glad I didn't listen as is my Aquarius nature- or else we would have missed out on our 2 week stay- way too shortened!! Alas, I shall hope to return someday soon to the Hilltop -sit on the front porch when the hydrangeas are in full bloom, when COVID is history- & share stories with the Princess Joelle & Sir Jack! Thank you for your kindness & wonderful memories of home!

Beautiful setting-cozy place!

We stayed a month while our house finished. The place is so adorable, homey, with lots of interesting books, games, and super luxurious bedding. Loved it and the caretaker Patti is a gem!

French born and educated, I have been living in the states for the last three decades. After my years in Manhattan and New York state I fell in love with the West coast and I am now happy to have settled in this quiet part of the world. Surrounded with trees and greenery I find peace in gardening and walks in the wild.

What makes this property unique

When you stay with us you are between both Olympic & Mt. Rainier National Parks, the harbor of Olympia where you can enjoy in summer a large Farmer's market, all year long an astonishing array of classic or exotic restaurants, and of course the best oysters in the world.

If you chose you can jump into the past at The Olympic Club in Centralia, 3 Casinos offer entertainment year long.

You will be happy to drive back home, ferns welcoming you all the way to the top of our quiet wooded secluded hill.
