Great location to town and site seeing drives. Beautiful surrounds, very well kitted out, clean and lots of books and board games. Also, great access for people with movement problems. Anita was very accommodating with any requests. We'd stay there again.
Very conveniently located to Arrowtown and Queenstown for restaurants, shops, and entertainment. Great house fully renovated with tons of luxuries and comforts.
Had a great stay at Cedar House. The house was well equipped with everything you needed to make the stay relaxing and enjoyable. It was great holiday wish we could have stayed longer.
Perfect. :) Clean comfortable and spacious. Comfy beds, great water pressure in the showers and a very well stocked pantry. Loved the pods coffee machine and generous deck to relax on in the sun
This was an incredible home home to stay in. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect that this home provided. Location, cleanliness, detail of what was provided in the home, privacy, fenced yard. It was brilliant, cannot say enough positive things about it.
This property is an excellent choice for several reasons:
Proximity to Arrowtown main street.
High quality bedrooms, kitchen, lounge and overall furnishings. Great heating options for a chilly evening
Superb views form the lounge and outdoor deck area.
A well appointed, warm and really comfortable house. We would highly recommend staying here. Everything for our comfort had been thought of. Excellent attention to detail.
Modern, well laid out & 2 bikes
Close to centre but quiet & close to river & walking /cycling track
Nice touch that normal food essentials (sugar sauces rice etc) left out for use
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cedar Cottage in Arrowtown. The cottage was very well located for our needs and very clean and comfortable. Although we struck wintry weather in what was supposedly the middle of summer, the house is very well set up with underfloor heating and an efficient heat pump which kept us cosy. Lovely garden area and deck which we made use of when the weather came right on our last day. Thank you Anita for sharing your lovely holiday home with us.
Cheers Jill
Our family stayed in the house was for the NZ Ski Nationals and Anita could not have been more helpful in organizing and helping to sort us out. The home was perfect for the family in everyway. Very nicely presented with all the facilities we could want. Drying cupboard for ski gear, garage to load gear in, fire place and deck to relax, plus the heatpump and heated tiles made this a great warm stay. The kitchen, ,laundry and bathrooms were all modern and very well equipped. A quick 5min walk to Arrowtown, easy access to the creek for walks kept the kids busy and access to all the ski fields made this one of the best stays we have had. Highly recommended
lovely big house in great location in Arrowtown. My elderly parents and I stayed here and it was great for them as the house was easily accessibly and it was a short walk into town. Owner super responsive when we had a small issue with a power outage (for the whole block not just the house), easy communication and check in. Would definitely stay again.
This is a fantastic property. The house is obviously a very much loved family holiday home and the owners have gone to great lengths to make it a comfortable and wonderful place for others to enjoy. I was visiting my little granddaughters who live in Queenstown. I had my sister and 88 year old mum with me. The house was such a happy place to be and had everything we needed. we had some wonderful family times.I thoroughly recommend this property.
We stayed here for a family ski holiday and absolutely loved it. The house is perfectly set up, warm and sunny, huge sunny private deck, full kitchen, great location. The garage setup meant we could easily unload and load ski gear without any mess or fuss and get away early for long days at the ski fields. We would love to stay here again!
Rented this property for Ski Trip. The property was well maintained and stocked. Short walk to local shops, and enjoyed having undercover parking available in Winter conditions. Ample heating, including underfloor, and open fireplace. Family really enjoyed the stay
We very much enjoyed our stay, beautiful house with all the amenities and well placed out of the hustle and bustle of Queenstown, so handy to everything wish we could have stayed longer
so convenient/beautiful setting/comfortable/practical/quiet/tidy/- would love to stay again and longer as well

About the host

Cedar Cottage is our family holiday house or crib as they are known in Southland and Otago. Our children and now our grandchildren love our holidays here. Originally built in the 1960's, we renovated it in 2005.
Why they chose this property
We love being in the quiet area of Arrowtown, close to the river and the hills.
What makes this property unique
The Arrowtown tracks are so close for walking and biking and the river for swimming and dam building.
