Very nice accommodation, could do with some TLC tiles in kitchen by patio door are loose patio doors need to have work done on them, fridge needs a good clean.
We were delighted with the house. Very warm and welcoming with Xmas decorations and tree up for us arriving. Well equipped kitchen and everything spotlessly clean. There were 10 of us family members and didn't feel crowded at all. Would recommend for stays in the area for bigger groups.
Wonderful home for weeks holidaying in the Borders
House was fantastic base for our holiday with extended family (5 adults, 5 kids plus a dog). Wonderful spacious rooms so everyone had their own space to relax/play etc, didn't feel we were in top of each other even with such a large party of mixed age ranges. Kitchen a fantastic communal space with everything you need. Bedrooms very comfy and excellent en suite facilities upstairs. Kids and adults all enjoyed the games room - we had traditional Scottish summer weather (rain!!) so great to have that on site to help burn of some energy with a pingpong or pool competition before bed!! We enjoyed walks straight from the garden to the near by woods and even just along the relatively quiet lane roads, it's a very peaceful area with stunning views. Owners are close at hand and very approachable if needed but very unintrusive...though my kids loved meeting farmer John.
Overall highly recommend and we'll definitely be back.
Loved the house, plenty room for everyone the only down side and it was a massive down side for us was the garden is advertised as secure but it actually has a very large open gate that small dogs can escape through so whilst it's secure for large dogs it's not for all dogs and I booked the property thinking my dogs would be secure and they had to be monitored the whole time which was difficult because the garden had 2 escape routes either side of the house , there was a small side gate also for escapism and I had 3 small dogs to watch constantly so it definitely made the week more difficult than we had planned. They need to change the wording on description I wouldn't have booked if I had known my dogs were not safe it's a lot of money to constantly worry about their safety
Beautiful property, extremely clean, fabulous location.
Just spent a week here with 8 of us (5 adults, 3 children and 5 dogs). The house is fully stocked with everything to make your holiday enjoyable.
The layout of bedrooms were great
3x double upstairs all en-suite ( extra single bed in one) and twin room downstairs. Lovely huge sunny lounge with ample seating for everyone.
The games room was a big hit for children and kept them entertained every evening.
Wonderful dog walks surround the house through fields and beyond. Spent hours walking the 2 vizslas finding new routes to explore.
Beautiful relaxing holiday would highly recommend this property.
Owners are lovely and extremely helpful, there if needed. Felt very safe and at home here.
The property was ideal for a family get together. Well quipped kitchen, plenty of space for everyone, the games room was fun and the hottub great for relaxing in, in the evening. Great location for trips to the coast. Owners pleasant and non intrusive. Overall an excellent holiday.
Very spacious warm and welcoming house with bundles of room, a great outlook and about 4 miles from Berwick for nights out, couldn't have been better. Games room is great and the extra for the hot tub is well worth it !
Perfect house for our week. 2 families with kids between 6 & 10. Definitely use the hot tub. Sitting there watching the harvest being brought in was great! Plenty of space for all in the house. Comfy beds. Big kitchen diner. Play room with darts pool table tennis and table football. 10 minutes from Berwick.
We had a boat ride from Berwick and got to see a family of dolphins play.
A great base for a holiday in the Borders
House and area are amazing. John and Angela are perfect hosts. The house is in a quiet location with beautiful scenery but only a short drive away from amazing beaches
A family of 6 have worked throughout the lockdown period in their various professions needed a break

The first indication that we were about to begin a great weeks holiday was upon our arrival at the Paddock, Foulden, and found it to be immaculately clean, tidy and tastefully decorated throughout. I am pleased to report that the Paddock met our every expectation. The place lends itself to family gatherings. It is spacious, well designed and with plenty of bathrooms! We were able to spread out for the important ‘me’ times and come together whenever we liked.
We had one inclement day which was of no matter as we spent that day reading, relaxing and, being a competitive lot, made good use of the games room. Great fun!
Sunnier days were spent walking on the miles of beaches at Cheswick and Bamburgh followed by a BBQ or an al fresco evening meal on the patio area.
The major highlight of course was the hot tub. We all thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in it at various times during the week especially as it began to get dark against the beautiful sunsets and amazing views. Truly magical.
For us the extra cost for the use of the hot tub was more than worth it simply because of the enjoyment we got out of using it each day.
Our hosts / owners, Angela and John who reside next door, are welcoming, friendly, helpful and yet unobtrusive. It is evident that they possess a proud passion for the Paddock and work hard to ensure that their visitors enjoy their holiday experience.
I can honestly say that I have nothing negative to say about our stay except the sadness of not wanting to leave on our final morning. Suffice to say we will return in the future.
Thanks to John and Angela......a top week!
Regards
Brendan Little.
Was a great break away slightly disappointed in the lack of communication regarding the hot tub not being available and had to give the downstairs a quick hoover and mop the WiFi signal was not great so did affect our stay slightly but apart from that it was a good stay away house was huge and comfortable would definitely stay again and make sure the hot tub was there maybe worth making the advertisement is more clearer as there was no mention about the hot tub not being available at an additional cost or otherwise
We had a fantastic time at the paddock plenty of room for a family of 9. Better beds needed for downstairs bedroom as were very uncomfortable for the older guests. Also as stated towels are provided however they are not bath towels so we had to go out and buy these. Overall the house and hot tub is amazing and the owners really really friendly.

We loved The Paddock
The Paddock exceeded our expectations. Pictures don’t do it justice. Owner, Angela, was friendly and welcoming when we arrived at the property. She helped us out with a supply of olive oil when we realised we had left ours behind!
The Paddock is spacious and fitted out to very high standard. We were a group of six adults, one child and two dogs and even if we had been a bigger group there would have been plenty of room.
As we were only staying for two nights. We didn’t make much use of the games room, but it is certainly a bonus. We left saying “we have to come back”.
It’s a lovely part of the country - close to Berwick and Eyemouth.

Excellent Holiday
Exceptional break in an outstanding house. Lovely views to compliment the very spacious rooms and facilities. The use of the hot tub was a bonus for our family, who all thoroughly enjoyed their stay at the paddock. Would certainly recommend the house / location to anyone. The owners were polite and friendly and our family would return to this house in the future.

Fun & Relaxing family stay
Really enjoyed our stay at The Paddock. It was a brillient house so spacious and clean. Loved that there were bathrooms to every bedroom upstairs. The kitchen was very well equipt and had a lovely big table that could fit all the family round. The views from all around the windows in the house are amazing and gave a true feeling of being away from it all. The teenagers (and adults) loved the games shed and spent many an hour in here due to poor weather. Didnt get much chance to explore the surrounding area but the paddock is near plenty of places to explore aswel as being off the beaten track serving a truly relaxing stay. Communication from the owner was excellent. Would highly recommend and return in the future.

Family catch up.We all had a great time. The Paddock is well equipped ,spacious and very clean
Location is ideal. Very quiet and peaceful. Only 15mins from Berwick. Lots of nice walks along an incredible part of the east coast packed full of history . We were very lucky with the weather so did not make as much use of the games room as thought. Games room well equipped. We will certainly consider booking again

Great location, house spacious and comfortable, lots to do around about.
For a family get together this house works very well. The ground floor bedroom and walk in shower was ideal for an elderly relative while the games room was put to use as well.
Great views too and so much to do within 15-45 minute drive.
