This property is single storey with basement and is situated in the medieval village of Seillans, which was voted one of the prettiest villages in France. The house stands on approx. 1 acre of grounds and is accessed via electronic gates which give great privacy and security. There are many olive and palm trees on the property, as well as oak, mulberry and fig. There is a 12 x 5 mt swimming pool (alarmed) and a gas BBQ. There are 2 terraces, one of which affords magnificent views of the countryside and the second has a relaxing seating area and a view of the pool. Being so close to Lac de St. Cassien provides opportunities for fishing, rowing, canoeing and pedaloes. Watersports are available all along the coast and there are many sandy beaches to choose from. The area has an abundance of wonderful villages to visit and is at the foot of the mountains. Horse-riding is available locally and there are numerous walking trails in the area.

Beautiful property, stunning location and beautiful views. There is a well stocked and modern kitchen, plenty of sofas to watch tv /play cards in the evening. 2 bathrooms which is a must with 3 daughters. Very clean and comfy house. Lovely sized pool that was warm when we visited in august , plenty of sun loungers and the olive trees provided good shade.there is 2 outside areas to sit and eat. Short 10-15 walk to the town across a shortcut.owner Catherine was really helpful with queries beforehand and while there. We loved staying here and honestly the pictures don’t do it justice - you will not be disappointed.! We loved visiting Mons and the lake st cassien where you can swim and do water activities.
Enjoyed our stay, house suited us well and the pool is great in the heat. Peaceful location with nice villages nearby as well as the coast within 45 mins.
Spent the last 2 weeks in this beautiful home, surrounded by trees and shrubs. Very peaceful, perfect place to relax , but a 15 minute walk, ( short cut across footbridge) takes you to the very pretty village of Seillans, plenty of choice of restaurants, our favourite Bar Brasserie Charlotte - great food , reasonable prices and friendly staff. The house is far more spacious than it looks, fully stocked with everything you would need. Huge pool where we all spent hours of enjoyment. Our only negative was the mosquito bites we all suffered first few days , Nobody’s fault apart from nature and quickly sorted with the help of local pharmacy and a wonder cream
So lucky to have found the perfect holiday retreat
Spacious house with good sized pool with plenty of outdoor seating areas. Easy walking distance to good small supermarket and rest of village with both cheap ‘ish and more formal restaurants.
Only area for improvement is the Welcome Pack telling you what’s in the property and how to get to the village (incl the short cut over the stream !) and what is around could do with a major refresh. The information is a bit old and tired - an easy fix, otherwise a great family house in a great location.
A beautiful property in a stunning location and one of the loveliest homes we have ever rented in France. The house, particularly the kitchen, is amazingly well equipped making it a real home from home. The pool is lovely and a very good size. We particularly liked the fact there were two outdoor seating/eating areas; one covered/shaded and overlooking the pool which gave a lovely break from the sunshine and also allowed us to dine outside during a rather beautiful storm. The other being open with views afar and perfect for catching the evening sunset over dinner and a glass of local wine. Seillans itself is lovely with several bars and restaurants and is just a 15 min walk away as is the local, small but very well stocked, supermarket for bread and other essentials. Nearby Fayence, just a short drive away, has a big supermarket, a lovely outdoor market selling clothing, jewellery and food three day’s a week and many more bars and restaurants - some overlooking the square which had live music twice a week during our stay. With a stunning lake twenty minutes away for boating options or inflatables for the children, Fréjus, a beautiful beach forty minutes away and Monaco/Italy reachable in under two hours, it is very difficult to find fault. Catherine, the property owner and Samanta, the local property manager are fantastic and both were very quick to respond to any questions we had. Most definitely a home we would like to revisit in the future.
We have holidayed in France for a number of years and this is the best property we have stayed in. The air conditioning was a lifesaver in the hot weather and the pool is a great size, actually big enough to swim in. The shaded patio is lovely to relax in and you can watch the kids in the pool. We walked into the village a few times, not as much as normal as we found it a bit too far in the heat, probably about 20 minutes. The village is lovely, with some narrow cobbled winding streets. A really lovely villa, equipped with verything you need. The owner is extremely helpful, couldnt have been nicer and I wouldnt hesitate to recomnend this villa. We hope to return.

Just fabulous
A beautiful location and spacious and well cared for property with a lovely and attentive caretaker who only visits when needed and makes you feel truly welcome and at home. All contact with the owner was very friendly and helpful and made you feel they wanted you to enjoy the whole experience not a business transaction feel.
The Villa itself - the pictures don't do justice to how wonderful a setting this is, lovely trees and garden space, walkable (15 mins to centre) to the town with some lovely restaurants and enough to see for a week stay locally. truly child friendly with an amazing pool and space for them to play safely behind remote controlled gates and a well defined perimeter.
Night time spent looking over the valley and watching the local wildlife in the garden or playing in the pool until way after dark with the lights and heating on meant we maximised the fun time for the kids and no immediate neighbours to worry about disturbing with their laughter.

Lovely villa and location
A lovely, spacious well equipped villa with great pool set within walking distance of a beautiful village. The villa offered everything we could possibly need for a holiday with our young children and the pool is a really good size.

Everything you could want and more.
I can honestly say it was the best house we have stayed in during our last 9 years going to France. The house was immaculately clean. We are two families of 7 our boys are in their twenties now. The house is actually very deceiving from the outside and the pictures do not do it justice. The main living/dining room is enormous and the large screen TV was a bonus for watching the Tour de France. The pool was just perfect for family fun games.
We walked to the local restaurants the food was delicious. We particularly enjoyed" La Gloire de mon Père "we went to this restaurant twice.
The house is perfectly located for visiting Cannes, Nice and Monaco.
We tried our hand in the Casino in Monaco and I am happy to say we left with more than we spent.
I can recommend the Folly Too sailing boat in Cannes for a fantastic days sailing this was our 2nd time to do this and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
I would have no hesitation in going back to this house as it honestly had everything on our list even down to the Ping Pong Table.
Our booking went very smoothly.
Don't miss out on this special place.

About the host
Hosted by Catherine Fischer
I live in Dublin with my husband, Jimmy and two teenage daughters. We bought our villa in 2004, updating the property to include a 12 x 5 metre swimming pool and air-conditioning. Until 2011 we did not rent out the house, preferring to use it as much as possible ourselves. Now our girls are older, they spend less time in France and consequently we have decided to rent out the villa. We have been going to France for over 10 years and fell in love with Seillans as soon as we saw it. Our friends and family and the girls friends have joined us over the years and we have many fantastic memories and photos! One of the most memorable is watching fireworks over the Seillans countryside on 14th July.
Why they chose this property
The village of Seillans is renowned as one of the prettiest in France and offers many restaurants and visitor attractions. Our villa stands on nearly an acre of very private and secure gardens, with its own electronic gate. It has fantastic elevated views over the countryside from the terrace and all the comforts required for a wonderful holiday, are provided.
