Stayed here for a Boho trip. Nothing but nice things to stay, had a great visit!! Owner was awesome at communication and very clear with check in and check out. Highly recommend
Comfortable house. Even with continuous snow drive way and sidewalks were clear of snow and plenty of parking for our work trucks. Better than staying in a hotel all week.
This was such a charming property-close to everything but it still felt like a remote getaway. We loved our stay and hope to return soon. Thank you for an amazing place!
This was the perfect spot for the things we wanted to do in Houghton, and the biking we wanted to do in Copper Harbor. It made a great home base for our stay!
This was the perfect place for my husband and me. The host was so nice and made sure we had everything we needed. The host gave me some freshly picked berries that were delicious. The cabin worked perfect for us; it could easily occupy a couple of families. We enjoyed the trail nearby for a nice walk in the woods right across from the property. The cabin had all the things we needed. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it if you are looking for a place in the area.
Clean & comfortable. House is in a quiet neighborhood. Perfect home base for exploring the Keweenaw!

Fun old house
Comfortable, spacious, good location, quiet neighborhood. Price is good for the accommodations. Owners did a fine job of keeping up with the snow while we were there.
Very clean, well cared for home. Lots of attention to details, and a true desire to be a great host(ess) is evident. Great place to stay! Felt like we were visiting friends or family.
A very nice property within walking distance to Calumet. Check-in and check-out were a breeze, and host was a very good communicator. The house was clean, comfortable, and quiet. I would definitely stay here again.
Thesera was at the property when we arrived and was very friendly and helpful. The property was pretty much as listed. It was clean and fit our needs as we stayed in the area.
Great house to stay at in Calumet / Laurium. It was perfect for our visit to Copper Harbor area. Nice bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs, kitchen, dining area, and living room downstairs. Makes a great place to stay for a single night or a long vacation.
Very clean, nice, and comfortable home. Its very convenient if you plan on riding the local trails. Since its an older house the stairs to the bedrooms and bathroom are quite narrow and steep, but not bad at all, just something to keep in mind. It is more of a guest house, but Threse and Mike were so kind and welcoming. We appreciated the time to chat with them to learn the history of the homes and see their beautiful garden. We would definitely come back again.

About the host
Hosted by Theresa Randolph
I have lived in this area for 33 years and have enjoyed all that the wild outdoors has to offer from fishing to hiking, biking, back packing, skiing, wild berry picking, rock hounding, and much more. This has made me very familiar with the off the beaten track areas which I like to share. I have worked in the local service industry and like to give recommendations of favorites to experience.
Why they chose this property
I purchased the property to use it as a family guest place. My guests suggested many times that it is such a great place that I should offer it to vacationers, so I have. The neighborhood is peaceful and the woods have a walking and biking trail and is just across the street from the house. There's also an amphitheater only a few blocks away that has entertainment throughout the summer months. There is a small restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch, only a block away. There are quite a few other businesses located close to the cabin in Calumet including a grocery store, laundry mat, theater, gas, restaurants and many gift shops. Lake Superior beaches are located only 4 miles from the cabin. Groomed ski trails and a sledding hill are a mile and a half away. its a wonderful central location to all the actives.
What makes this property unique
It is easy to fall in love with the area because of the small town feel and peacefulness of the area where couples take evening walks hand in hand with their children .There is a 10 pm curfew for kids under 16 and a whistle sounds at 10pm to let them know. The woods are across the road making it a quiet place yet close enough to town that you can get there quickly. There is a local hospital Aspirus only 2 blocks away. The main snowmobile and ATV trail is 1/2 mile away from the cabin, you don't have to go on main roads to get to it. When community events occur and there's fireworks you can see them from the windows of the cabin. Off street parking that can accommodate up to three trucks and trailers.
