Beautiful, spacious and clean cottage in East Rudham, ideal for relaxing with family. Had a great week, enjoying the nearby beach and visiting local pubs and restaurants. Cottage was well equipped with everything we could have needed.
The property is spacious and clean, with everything needed for your stay!
The host communicated swiftly and was happy to answer our questions! We were also delighted to find a helpful hamper with useful items for our stay!
We had a great time and would love to stay again!

Wonderful !
We were hoping for the perfect holiday location for our family gathering and we certainly found it here!
The Mill Bakery is in a great location for exploring North Norfolk and we would be hard pressed to find any features in the property which would be worthy of criticism. We would certainly recommend the house to any family or group of friends planning a holiday or special event
This is a very comfortable property in a lovely village. Communication with owner excellent. Some lovely walks from the door and a really nice pub just a few minutes walk. The weather was fantastic on our week and we enjoyed breakfast and dinner in the garden at the comfortable table and spent a couple days on the fantastic beaches of Holkam and Brancaster.
We've just had a great week staying in Mill Bakery. The house is very comfortable, decorated and equipped to a high standard, with everything you need. The garden is lovely too and a good size. Plenty of room for a family with different age groups, my husband and I stayed with our three children, two partners and three small grandchildren. The weather wasnt as good as we'd hoped it would be but it was lovely to come back to a cosy house. Location was perfect for exploring North Norfolk with its beautiful beaches, etc. Jo was very helpful and accomodating throughout. Thank you for letting us stay in your house.
Overall really nice - a few issues about maintenance.
Nice looking cottage and garden, Good location. On the whole,Thoroughly enjoyed.
However – a few comments about the general maintenance of the facilities:
DISHWASHER - oes not clean/wash properly even on highest setting – needs servicing or replacing.
Also, No dishwasher salt – so could not operate the dishwasher on the first day.
FRIDGE Something wrong with the operation of the fridge – items getting too cold - two cans of drink completely froze and burst.
HOT WATER Ran out a couple of times (we were four adults and one child) There was nothing in
the instructions to say how to alter this.
LIVING ROOM I found the furniture in the living room uncomfortable.
DOWNSTAIRS BEDROOM (We chose to use this - because of my wife sustaining a recent injury
she could not easily negotiate the stairs). The mattress was unsupportive - could feel slats through the mattress.

Our stay at the Mill Bakery was amazing. A beautiful home with great facilities in a lovely village with a nice pub just 5 minutes walk away. My husband and I stayed with our two daughters, son-in-laws and our 9 year old grandson plus their two small dogs. There was ample space for everyone to enjoy together or have alone time. There's 3 bathrooms including a downstairs we t room and double bedroom. The garden is beautiful and spacious. Most beaches were approximately 35 minutes drive through beautiful countryside. The alpaca trekking in Wells was a great activity for our grandson especially as they are rescued. We would definitely love to stay here again. Thank you to Jo and Phil for welcoming us in their home.
The property had good sized bedrooms and sufficient bathrooms for our party. Very clean and communication with owner fantastic- particularly helpful when we couldn’t find the high chair, Joanna sorted it straight away for us. The kitchen is fabulously equipped. Great location for touring north Norfolk. Only slight downside was lack of comfortable seating in the lounge, considering the property sleeps 9 adults.
We have just had the best stay at Mill Bakery, we are a difficult group to cater for with one in a wheelchair and dogs. The house is lovely very well appointed, cosy, just as reported in the advert. The owner was brilliant with her communication in the run up to our stay. We would definitely go back. The house was very clean with a cleaned down welcome pack of essentials.
All as described. Perfect for our family holiday of 3 generations including our 83 year old with reduced mobility. Jo was extremely helpful making our stay go smoothly. Lovely scenery and the weather was perfect.
Great location for good beaches, walks and days out. Excellent facilities provided in house and garden was lovely and secure for our dogs.
Check in and out easy. Would recommend to others and hope to be back again for another stay.
Roomy well-equipped house with large garden, great for sitting and the children to play in. Pots and shrubs but plenty of room for football too. Lovely village with good pub serving very good food. We had a super holiday.
Communication was very good and the property was very much as described. We had a lovely stay and the property was in an excellent location about 20 minutes from the beech and sites we wanted to explore
Very good ,spacious comfortable accommodation in quiet road . The garden was lovely and the views over the fields were really beautiful .
The ground floor bedroom and bathroom was especially helpful for two older members of our party .
A lovely house to have a family get together for Christmas . Jo had left us crackers , table cloth , a bottle of red wine and napkins which was a really thoughtful gesture , the Christmas tree was a lovely touch as well, the house was very well equipped and had a good lay out , would definitely recommend, and great position for visiting the coast, the Crown pub in the village was excellent.
Beautiful and very comfortable accommodation, very well equipped, great location. Owner very helpful and easily contactable. Would definitely return when up that way again.
Mill Bakery is the perfect location for visiting north Norfolk and very comfortable, well equipped and clean. The nearby pub The Crown serves delicious food and is dog friendly. We have had a very relaxing holiday.
Lovely house and we had a lovely stay. The kitchen was excellent space to be in which we used a lot. Very clean and tidy.
The toilet in the family bathroom upstairs was not good a flushing and the plastic black part on the door in the en-suite was lose and came off when we opened the door and we could not shut the door.
The garden was really well kept and lovely. However we didn’t expect to see the gardener arriving in our stay so we had to keep all the children and dogs inside.
Jo was really helpful and lovely and we really appreciate all the help. Thank you
We have all really enjoyed another long weekend at this fabulous property. Communication has been fantastic, and it's just such a lovely place to stay for a multi generational holiday- couldn't recommend highly enough.

Well layed out cottage, quiet village and the Grandkids liked the football and basket ball pitch
My sons and families are hooked on cottage holidays from now on, no more cramped caravan holidays.Once we all decided as to who slept where ( I ended up in the small twin room hey ho!) and unpacked we explored the village.
We visited Cromer x 2, Hunstanton and Sherrington. A few of us adults would liked to have visited Holkham Hall but we ended up going crabbing again and again, kids loved that, maybe next time? It was good to get the youngsters off their tech stuff and out in the fresh air, there was certainly a lot of that and we were blessed with great weather for October.
The cottage offered everything for a comfortable stay, could have done with an extra armchair but apart from that no complaints. Thank you for letting my lot into your home Jo Tomberg.

Family Holiday at East Rudham
The property was an excellent choice for our family gathering (6 adults, one child and 2 dogs. There was plenty of room for everybody. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and practical. There was also plenty of room for many cars to park. We made use of the local village pub which produced high quality food. The only issue we had was with a wasp nest in the roof which proved inconvenient but the owner dealt with it promptly and is no longer an issue. All in all a very enjoyable time was had by all.

About the host
Hosted by Jo Tornberg
We love Norfolk! We enjoy walking and so do our two dogs! Having rented plenty of holiday homes with our family over the years when we were lucky enough to buy our own, I wanted to make sure it had everything we has always hoped for on arrival and were often disappointed not to find. I believe that's what we have achieved at Mill Bakery, its perfect! Although we don't allow dogs upstairs in our lovely holiday home it's a perfect place with a reasonably secure garden & outdoor kennel with run. We can arrive, unload and go straight off for a walk without getting back in a car, then to the pub for supper! Even the teenagers find the sailing & catching up with friends in Burnham Market a fun place to be. Also a perfect location for our grandson being easy reach of the lovely Norfolk beaches.
Why they chose this property
East Rudham has everything you want if you don't want to leave the village and its not far from the lovely North Norfolk coast if you want to walk by the sea or enjoy any of the activities from family beach fun to bird watching that Norfolk has to offer. The village has a great pub +The Crown' serving excellent food and there is a little coffee shop on the village green all within walking distance.
What makes this property unique
Mill Bakery has very easy access with no steps into the house or anywhere on the ground floor. Also because of the downstairs double bedroom and bathroom/wetroom its perfect to bring my father who is registered blind and when I broke my leg and was in a wheel chair the house was really accessible - not easy to find in Norfolk with its small cottages and winding stairs! Being Dog owners its a holiday for our dogs as well, although even on holiday they are not allowed in the bedrooms or on the furniture!
