Detached Period Home-Former Rectory, Views Of Bristol Channel/Gower & Caldy
Crunwere House is very spacious and on entering the front porch and into the main hall you view an original classic Georgian staircase leading to the first floor. There are 2 large reception rooms all with featured original fireplaces, high ceilings and large Georgian windows. The reading room, the rector’s consultation room also has its original coal fireplace. The breakfast room features exposed stone walls, range set into the inglenook fireplace. This room leads into a period conservatory and has views of the gardens to the west where you can experience some beautiful summer sunsets, whilst preparing your evening meal on the large barbecue. There is a well appointed contemporary kitchen with its original slate floor. Crunwere has 5 spacious double bedrooms one with additional sofa bed thus the house can easily accommodate 2 large families. Hot water and heating is adequately provided from the substantial boiler which benefits from a modern control system.
Please note that there is other accommodation within the grounds in refurbished outbuildings. Please be considerate to other guests.

A beautiful house, perfect for our family of 9. In a lovely area, the children loved the beach at Wiseman's Bridge and at Manorbier.
Thank you Lucia, you made us feel so welcome, we had a great time.
Overall we enjoyed the space and the facilities at Crunwere house. There was more than ample plates cutlery etc although the kitchen lacks work surface.
There needs to be a dog safe area if possible
On the whole a lovely large home and one of the best equipped I’ve stayed in. I must mention when we had an issue with the wasp machine one morning it was replaced by the time we got back from the beach..really superb hosting skills
What a wonderful house to stay in. The photos don't do the property justice. Plenty of room for 10 adults. 8 other family members stayed in Tenby so we gathered in our house for a meal and to play games .... perfect with the glass conservatory next to the kitchen.
Very close to the main road so easy to visit other parts of Pembrokeshire, whilst still feeling like you're in the middle-of-nowhere. Lucia responded very quickly to any questions we had. Will definitely consider going back again!
This stay was one of our favourite breaks ever. The hosts were unbelievably accomodating. Nothing was too much trouble. The photos do not do this place justice. Lucia and her husband have worked tirelessly to restore this old rectory into a stunning home from home. The history and the decor of the house kept us entertained for hours. Not to mention the efforts by Lucia's husband to make this house so eco friendly. We absolutely loved our stay here . It was not long enough. Next time we will be back for the week. Thankyou so much for having us. Xx
Lovely holiday with wider family. Great location and easy to drive to beautiful beaches. Plenty of space for all. Well resourced kitchen and fantastic dining room for family meals.
Lovely large period house with large rooms. We were a party of 8 adults 4 children and a dog easily accomitated everyone. Position was close to several beaches but set in a quiet rural spot, ideal to relax, and plenty of outside space for the children to run around.
We enjoyed a lovely few days in the beautiful old rectory. Really clean, high quality facilities and a perfect place to spend Easter as an extended family.
From start to finish amazing! Communication with Lucia is instant by text answers everything in detail. The house is amazing and great for large families groups of friends where you can chill quietly or come together for dinner and games night like ourselves in the dining room. Weather wasn't too good and we wanted to relax so took all food with us and didnt venture out, but knowing the area well the location is also amazing just off main highway to all main areas such as Tenby, Saundersfoot, Narbeth etc...
It's literally home from home, all the right cooking utensils places etc and enough to fill dishwasher and still have some to use on the rack...
Will definitely be visiting again xxxx
What a great holiday in a fabulous large and atmospheric detached house set in its own grounds with a large driveway and parking for many vehicles. The house was in a quiet rural area but a short drive away from some wonderful coastline and seaside towns and all the amenities one would want. We were 3 generations of the same family, 6 adults and 4 children ranging from 12 to 16. Plus our 3 dogs. There was plenty of room for us all and the rooms were large. The house was well appointed with loads of interesting ornaments/artefacts etc, and very beautiful in a rustic way. It had all the necessary facilities and everything you could need including games. Also, plenty of free logs for the woodburners in 2 of the reception rooms. We had great fun playing hide and seek with the kids both inside and outside the house. I could go on and on about the house and location, but suffice to say we were all bowled over by it and definitely would go back. We did have a couple of problems, not unexpected given the size and age of the property, but the owner was easy to contact and extremely helpful and acted straight away. This was not a luxurious house, and in some parts tired looking, but very comfortable both in the reception rooms and the bedrooms, with the beds being excellent. Indeed, for a holiday with dogs, this was just perfect, although we would have preferred the downstairs beige carpets to be much darker in colour! . But really it was just brilliant. One could be picky about a few things, but that would be grossly unfair when taking into account the cost. It was extremely good value for money, and the entire family came away with wonderful memories and our visit will never be forgotten.
A couple of things worth mentioning. In the property description, it indicated 4 showers. In fact there were 2, one of which was an ensuite down a few steps. The other showers were shower attachments on baths. Also, in the back garden, there was a beautiful studio property close to the main house. This is rented out separately, which was not clear from the listing. We occupied this, so not a problem. The back garden is shared. This could have been a problem if rented out to others because of the dogs. But when rented to the same family, perfect!!
Overall and taking into account the price, this merits 10/10 as a holiday destination.
Thank you very much!!
This was a perfect location for a week’s holiday with the family. The house was great, plenty of room to spread ourselves out and relax.
We all loved the area, fantastic beaches within easy reach and plenty to do. We will definitely come back.
Amazing house, with a very homely feel. Owner very welcoming. Spotlessly clean. Only the cooker and not the Aga was available to use, so a little challenging cooking for 11. Very convenient for local attractions. Would highly recommend this property
We loved staying at Crunwere House - just perfect for our big family holiday. We had seven adults, three primary-age children, two babies and a dog and there was room for everyone.
The house has beautiful sea views and Amroth Beach is a short drive - perfect sandy beach for kids and swimming there was heavenly.
The kitchen is well equipped for preparing big meals.
Lucia was very responsive and helpful.
All-in-all couldn't fault it and hope we can return one day.
The whole house and location were excellent infact we all agreed that
it is much better than the online photos show( could be something to
think about) The grandchildren loved it and so did all the adults!
Despite the weather,it's such a relaxing place we just vegd out and
had a lovely time Many thanks David & Christine.
The house is idea for a big family with lots of room for everyone. This is our second year and we have enjoyed it as much as the first. The surrounding area in beautiful with many beaches, castles and towns to visit. Lucia is the perfect host and answered all our question staight away. Thank you again for looking after us.
We stayed last October which was good but with very good weather this time we were able to make full use of garden. House very convenient to Tenby and surrounds
We booked this property for a family holiday over Easter. Lucia was on site when we arrived, giving us th e guided tour. The property although old, is in great condition and beautifully decorated. The house had plenty of room for 6 adults and 3 children.
Our 3rd stay at Crunwere House. Lovely homely place, and very spacious for a family get together. Very peaceful location and fantastic garden. Short drive to Amroth beach and only half an hour from lots of lovely Pembrokeshire beauty spots.
The house has a great feel to it; plenty of space and very cosy. The temperature being at a constant throughout the property made it very inviting and homely.
It provided a great environment for a family celebration and we very much enjoyed our stay.
Had an amazing stay in Crunwere house as soon as you walk through the front door it feel so comforting, large rooms and plenty of space. Will definitely be coming back !!!
Lovely house with lots of character, Lucia was a great host with lots of communication - thank you for having us!!

About the host
Hosted by Mrs Lucia Morgan
Lucia and Philip Morgan. We are the proud owners of Crunwere House. We have spent the last 20 years tastefully restoring it into a home which we enjoy spending quality time with our family. Last year we decided to let others enjoy our home and its tranquil surroundings having completed the restoration of the property and its grounds.
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with this property 12 years ago, even though it had been neglected. It was a big challenge and we were very keen to restore Crunwere House to its former glory and keeping or restoring all its original features.
Turning Crunwere House into a sustainable low carbon dwelling has been our main goal. Having carried out extensive restoration works to the property the fossil fuelled (oil) boiler was replaced with an efficient ground source heat pump. Using a smaller amount of electricity generated from a modest wind turbine that we have erected on adjacent farmland we now have continuous heating to Crunwere House which helps to preserve the fabric and fittings of this beautiful property.
