Elegant apartment in the historic center, in the heart of the island of Ortigia, consisting of three double bedrooms for a total of six beds, a large living room with kitchen, two bathrooms, a closet and a small terrace.
The structure is equipped with TV, Wi-Fi, refrigerator, oven, air conditioners, sheets, pillows, towels and washing machine.
The sea is a five minute walk away, as are the Marina di Ortigia, Piazza Duomo, Piazza Archimede, Fontana Arethusa.

The famous and picturesque Ortigia market, supermarkets, tobacconists, bars, pizzerias, restaurants, pubs, banks and post offices are also very close.
Even if it is a completely renovated apartment, inside it you can still appreciate corners of stone walls and ancient arches that still make the atmosphere and taste of the classic perfectly breathable.
Its position in the heart of Ortigia is ideal for reaching all points of historical and cultural interest during the day and the most beautiful places at night.

Guests will be able to access the entire apartment and both me and any other staff member will be available to guests for any problems or information.

The island of Ortigia constitutes the oldest part of the city of Syracuse. Its name derives from the ancient Greek "ortyx" which means quail. It is the heart of the city, the first to be inhabited in antiquity, thanks to its geographical position and the presence of waters and springs.
Like the whole of Sicily, Ortigia is also a testimony of past centuries and of the populations that have followed one another. Its territory tells of an ancient history that saw the arrival of the Greeks succeeded by the Romans, the Swabians, the Aragonese and the Arabs.
Today visiting Ortigia is like walking through history and admiring its splendor, getting lost in its small neighborhoods, which reveal wonders.
The most famous districts of the island are: Bottari, Cannamela, Castello, Duomo, Gancia, Giudecca, Graziella, Maestranza and Marina.

Among the most interesting things to see in Ortigia are the Maniace Castle, the Temple of Apollo (6th century BC), the Duomo (Ionic temple 8th century BC), the Fountain of Artemis (1906), the Fonte Aretusa, Porta Urbica (VI-V century BC), the Archbishop's Palace, the Church of San Martino, the Church of Santa Lucia alla Badia, the Church of the Holy Spirit, the Palazzo Beneventano-Del Bosco, the Palazzo dei Mergulensi-Montalto, 16th century Porta Marina, the Church of S. Pietro Intra Moenia and the Church of S. Giovanni Battista.
The island has followed the times and has also been filled with restaurants, pizzerias and various places where you can spend some time in the company to enjoy the excellent Sicilian cuisine. Even a walk on the waterfront is an experience not to be missed.
