A group of friends attending Porsche Paradise stayed in this wonderful property. Well-appointed, clean and very quiet house. Would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful experience of Provencal village life in a gorgeous home
The house was wonderful. Its layout was perfect for two teens and parents with both having spaces. The decor was gorgeous and the location just divine. The village is so vibrant and friendly and there was so much to do in the area. We.loved the local pool and haunts to thé boulangerie in the morning. All in all a fabulous experience and great place to stay.
We loved everything about our stay in this gorgeous villa. It was extremely well equipped and so very comfortable. Paul was very responsive and wonderful to communicate with.
We miss it already and hope to be back one day. Such a special place.
Perfect location above the busy south coast which we also loved. Cooler with a wonderful sun terrace. The apartment had everything you could want. We would love to return - thanks Paul

Perfect for a relaxing break in LGF
We've had many holidays in this village, usually in July and August, and wanted to to experience it in the Spring. La Chouannerie was ideal for us. It's within the village so an easy walk to buy the bread, find a cafe or restaurant, or just to stroll around. And it's in a quiet street away from the traffic and noise.
It has large well-furnished rooms and is generally very comfortable. We used the double bedroom upstairs while the children and grand-children had the double and twin rooms downstairs with their own bathroom.
The kitchen/dining room has plenty of space and all the appliances worked well. We used the large dining tale for most of our meals and had breakfast and lunch on the terrace when the sun shone. I'm sure in the summer you will eat all meals on the terrace.
In April the evenings were chilly but the heating worked well and the lounge is fine for 6 of us to watch DVD's, Netflix etc.
La Garde Freinet is ideal if you want to take in the beaches and hot-spots of the Cote d'Azure and then escape the crowds to experience the fresh air and peace of the mountains just 30 mins drive from the coast. It also has plenty of restaurants, bars, cafes and shops should you wish just to relax.
I would recommend La Chouannerie at any time of the year.
Wonderful location in a lovely village. Close proximity to both the coast and the mountains. We enjoyed walking to dinner, shops and the little market. House was comfortable and kitchen well equipped.
Good location and no problems make for a relaxing stay.
We like the location in the village with an easy walk to all shops, restaurants and market. The rooms are all a good size and there's a fine sunny terrace. Everything is supplied and works well in the house which makes for a relaxing holiday.

Kommen gerne wieder!
A gorgeous stay in La Garde Freinet. The house is charming and up a beautiful tiny side street. The town is peaceful but with everything you could wish for. We loved our stay, many thanks.

Iconic and Idyllic
We loved the ambiance of this home and its location to the town centre. You can sit on the terrace for hours and it feels like you are watching from inside a painting. The BBQ and fridge make this an ideal spot for family and friends to gather and enjoy the village lifestyle. The rest of the house is extremely comfortable and every room has direct access to its own bathroom. This is superb accommodation that provides a perfect location to explore the many delights of the region. I recommend this house and village to anyone wanting to experience the French lfestyle. Vive la France

We live in England with our three (almost) adult children. My wife and I both work, but are intent on spending most of our holidays in France, where we can enjoy sun, food and wine. We bought our new home in 2011 and plan to many spend happy family holidays there.
Why they chose this property
We love La Garde Freinet because it is an iconic French village only 30 mins drive from beautiful beaches, great golf courses and chic restaurants. The area is fantastic for walking and enjoying the countryside. There really is something for everyone here. The area is easily accessible with Nice only an hour and a quarter's drive away.
We are both Australian and miss the sun filled days of our youth. La Garde Freinet offers this and so much more.
What makes this property unique
The house is over 300 years old and is only a stroll from the centre of the village. The south facing sun terrace is exceptional and the remaining rooms are full of character with many charming features.
