Quiet annex with parking, Cambridge

Enjoy all the attractions of Cambridge city centre then get a good night's sleep in peaceful surroundings. Based in the tranquil and green village of Girton, only 10 minutes by car/bus, to the centre of Cambridge. Good for couples & solo travellers.

The annex is adjoined to my house but is private; self contained, with its own front door and entrance hall.

The property comprises of bedroom with double bed and smart tv, sitting room with kitchen area, including a washing machine, fridge, oven/hob and sofa bed, good size bathroom with large shower, hair dryer provided.

Parking is provided off the road (on the drive in front of the property).

The village of Girton is close enough to cycle (15 mins), drive (10 mins), bus (10 mins) or walk in to historic Cambridge.

The village itself has two pubs, both serving great food, a small supermarket, hairdressers, florist and lovely walks across the fields. There is also a golf course in the village.

Girton, Fitzwilliam, Churchill, Murray Edwards and Magdalene colleges and the Moller Centre are all less than 10 minutes away by car.

The American Cemetery in Madingley is also only a ten minute drive away.

The second bed is a sofa bed and although it is designed to sleep two, it may be a bit cosy.

Lovely place to stay

Very clean and tidy. Katie is friendly and easy to communicate with. It’s a good location for Cambridge. And it’s quiet. We can recommend it.

Very stylish studio in Girton.

Very convenient location. Parking and also bus stop 2 mins walk with good service to and from Cambridge. 5 mins walk to a Co op shop that was stocked with everything you could want. The studio was stylishly presented and the shower room was lovely. We felt that a microwave would have been useful. Also some storage for clothes other than the hanging rail provided. There were no drawers for your drawers!! The bed was a small double and it was a bit of a squash for us, being used to a kingsize. All in all a very convenient and reasonably comfortable place to stay. Would be really good for a single traveller but a bit of a squash for 3. and ok for 2 small ones!

Not as expected

We found this property to be much smaller than expected with no space or table and chairs to sit and eat, nowhere to store bags and a very tiny table top fridge. Basically it is a studio with everything in one room. It's also very dark and gloomy. Probably OK if you only want a short stay and do not expect to spend much time there or eat at the property but if you have luggage and intend to stay longer it is very cramped.

Property was lovely. Quality mattress which I think is very important. Lovely touches such as Laura Ashley hand-wash and lotion. Face wipes. Lots of extra touches that make a difference..Host was fabulous. I would definitely stay again.
