Disliked: Staff & service
They said breakfast included but didn’t inform us in advance while I am booking that we have to order it between 4-5 pm of same day you checked in. They should let us order while we are booking.
The property is decent and clean for a 1912 building and very close to Mt Rainier’s entrance. However, staff forgot to deliver our preordered breakfast on the second morning.
The inn is a perfect location and is a great stay for anyone wanting to relax in nature and explore the park. Inside it is cozy and charming and a comfortable place to come back to after exploring.
We came at the end of the season but I can imagine this place in the summer as a hive of activity with families staying. The large living room and pleasant grounds would be well used.

Visit to Mt Rainier
The manager was great and made our stay extra comfortable. She was very accommodating and did the best she could for our comfort. We could’ve used a bigger room with an extra bed or even a pull-out bed as requested initially but they gave us a cot, which was ok. They did have larger rooms in the property but they were booked out. Very close to the park (Mt Rainier National Park) so it was ideal for our purpose to visit Mt Rainier.
We had a lovely stay. Our room was cute and the perfect size for us. We also enjoyed using the parlor area and walking around the pond and trail to a nearby creek. This is a great location if you are planning on checking out Mt. Rainier.
Even though we lost power during our stay, the crew made sure we were comfortable and worked tirelessly until it was restored.
Aside from getting booked for two rooms instead of one and the small confusion that caused everything went well. Easily worked out with pleasant front desk person. We had the room with the external bathroom which was just around the corner - thank goodness - not outside. The actual room was tiny and the bathroom spacious. Bed was comfy. Tiny TV if that’s important to you, wasn’t to us. We were lucky it was not very full at the inn. So it was quiet and private. Nice amenities with the large parlor with fireplace where you can go if you don’t have a seating area in your room or want more space. Everything was clean and worked well. It was a bit like staying at your grandma’s house but in a good way. The breakfast delivery was easy and had good choices. Stairs are very narrow because the place was built in 1920 but we had no issues - others might. Plenty of free parking. I’m sure the grounds are lovely in the other seasons but we weren’t there for that. Very close to the gate at Mount Rainier. The only minor complaint was the pet smell pervasive in our non pet room. I wish people would follow the rules. There were rooms for people with pets.
My husband and I were looking for some peace and quiet after driving from Seattle during the 4th of July. It’s definitely cozy and the fresh air is appreciated
I needed quiet time and to un plug and this place was perfect! I enjoyed having my dogs and the nearby hiking trails, although very few trails allow dogs. The complimentary breakfast was great and they try to be as accommodating as possible!
We had such a good time here. It’s hard to find a nice place to stay with a dog sometimes and this place succeeded our expectations! We loved our free upgrade and how quiet and beautiful the place was. We will definitely be returning!

Great Little spot right at the edge of Rainier.
Great spot if you are wanting to get up to the park. It took us about 45 min to drive to Paradise from here, as it is only a few miles from the park entrance. Perfect place to crash after a day of snow shoeing!
