For anyone that is looking at the negative reviews which is natural, disregard anything less than 8/10. As for the things that they mentioned: extra charges, train passing, lay out of the place, or lack of things to do in the area- read reviews, do your research, don't stay if you can't afford it. Do Not blame Diana. You're not a victim, you wouldn't have been happy anywhere. The train totally out of her control, besides it was entertaining everytime it went past day or night. I knew it was a small town in the middle of nowhere. A Big win for me. The place was clean and well maintained, I'll pay extra for that. Diana and her son were very friendly and quickly responded to every text. I used the outside grill, the patio, & washer/dryer, very convenient and well taken care of. Diana, thank you for allowing us to use your place for the week. My girlfriend and I enjoyed the place, especially the small private deck out back watching all the things going on in the river right there.

Dianna was very helpful and we enjoyed our stay a lot. The sunsets from large deck were spectacular and we could see the stars so clearly at night. Beautiful area and so convenient to the bike trails.
Came to view beautiful Ohiopyle State Park and it did not disappoint. Natural slides are indeed something to be seen although we did not try. Tried e biking from proprietor In Confluence - great fun. Hiking is as simple or a challenging as you need. Lots of trains to view too. Apartment was perfect. Enjoyed Tissue coffee shop and Anchor In
The accommodations were lovely and location was perfect. The outdoor space had a great view and was very comfortable. Our host was very helpful and made us feel very welcome.
We had a wonderful stay. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. Diana was very accommodating and the sweetest lady. I would definitely come back and stay here. Thank you for having us!!
The view was wonderful. The apartment was exactly as described. The train was an issue but it was made very clear in the listing. The train would be the only reason I wouldn’t stay there again. Property was great!
Very nice 2nd floor apartment with beautiful river view. Very clean. There is no separate living room but master bedroom has nice sitting area with tv and Roku streaming numerous channels. The property is very well maintained. I did not notice the trains because my primary home is near train tracks also. But sealed ear plugs are provided. My friends brought a white noise machine. We visited Falling Water, Ohiopyle State Park, Laurel Caverns and also fit in some shopping. We stayed 3 nights and barely touched upon all there is to do in the area. Great time. Would definitely come again.
Our room was very clean. The beds were great. Wish there was a comfy sitting area but we enjoyed sitting outside. Diana was very responsive and super nice to deal with.
Great place with a BEAUTIFUL view. Wish it had a dedicated indoor sitting area but that would be my only recommendation and it didn’t take away from our stay. Troy was so helpful and personable. Met great people and was super relaxing. Would highly recommend!!
Brian’s father died and he asked for nature and silence. This space made us both happy. There is no nightlife (seemed like everything was closed by 6 p.m) and no traffic in front of the house. Watched the sun rise/set and walked the neighborhood. We would definitely return.
The location and the place was just what we were looking for in a quaint little town. We kayaked * Biked right from the property. everything was well stocked and outdoor deck was amazing. the pictures do not do it justice! we will be back! thank you
The place was perfect. No complaints. Great location. People in town were very friendly. It's an older town but the VRBO was all up to date and we felt very safe. We would definitely stay there again.
Second time staying here...always super clean! The deck with chairs/loungers are just perfect for relaxing while enjoying the view of the rivers. The hammocks below just make it so great to relax and take a nap! There are trains that run on other side of the street. I truly enjoy hearing them, but they can wake you at night. There are less trains at night and they don't blow horn as much, which Diana can't control, but she provides ear plugs in each room if you need them to sleep! We had no problem sleeping without them. Plus this place is within walking distance The Tissue Farm for coffee and fresh baked goods and the gas station which has food. We also walked across the foot bridge to the island where there's an antique store and cafe we ate at for dinner (FYI-they like you to have reservations). Plus the lake is a few minute drive away, which has a beach area with swimming and can put in a boat or bring own kayaks. There the Outflow and a pizza shop in town. AND Ohiopyle State Park is just 20 minutes away plus Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater & Kentuck Knob Houses and more....but this property is in a perfect place to get to lots of things to do!
Let's start with the host - Diana. She was warm, welcoming, helpful and friendly. Thanks, Diana. We appreciated your hospitality. The place was immaculate and very well appointed. There was even Netflix :-). The location was perfect for us; minutes from the bike trail, a five minute drive to the lake, within walking distance of a mini mart, right on the river with river view as advertised. There was nothing we needed that wasn't provided.
The town isn't much and the train is definitely a factor. My wife was a fan of it and I was not. The train's passing has a certain charm to it - until the engineer blows the horn. Small price to pay for an excellent VRBO.
A definite winner that should be on your list of places to consider.
The Riverview upstairs apartment worked out well for our family stay in the area. There were three of us. We had plenty of room and Diana was friendly and helpful.
The unit we stayed in was very comfortable and was spotless. The kitchen is well set up and the bed is good. Train noise at night, but we like that! It was a perfect spot for our layover day from the GAP Trail. Lovely views of the river.
Diana was a lovely host, friendly, helpful and accommodating. The apartment was spotless and lovely. It is not large (no separate living room) but perfect if you plan to be out all day hiking or biking. Due to COVID we cooked all our own meals, and so appreciated the fully equipped kitchen. We also loved our own little private deck with a beautiful view of the water. There are two adjacent properties; an apartment below and a larger house next door that shares the large deck pictured, so be aware that it is not entirely private (and noise does travel). But overall it was a great experience and we would definitely stay there again. PS. Some might disagree, but we loved the trains that pass by (close by!) several times a day.

I'm nearing retirement age and was looking for a new path. I love the outdoors the river and people so this is my new adventure.
Why they chose this property
This property because of the view of the three rivers, they are in my back yard. I also love bicycling and the Alleghany Passage is just a few blocks away. You can ride as much as you like and see beautiful scenery on the whole trail without the worry of traffic.
What makes this property unique
Everything is within walking or biking distance. The restaurants, grocery stores, the bike trail and if you like the rivers you have fishing and kayaking right off the back deck.
