Lovely time had by all

The villa was the perfect fit for the seven adults and two children with a lovely spacious living area and a pool that was beautiful. We had everything we needed within the villa and the kitchen was well equipped. The views were to die for and although there are many villas close by you felt as if you were in a quiet and private space. The walk down to the town can be challenging but having stayed in Kalkan on many occasions it is something you get used to - taxis are always an option. Would highly suggest a stay here.

Lovely family villa with beautiful views

We were two families with five children aged between 6 and 15. The villa is well-equipped and big enough for us all to have plenty of space. The pool is also a good size and the views from the terrace are stunning. It's very peaceful but only a 10 minute walk into the town (although we tended to get taxis as it was so hot). Orkun from the property management company was really responsive and helpful, as was Rachel the owner. The area itself is great with beaches, mountains, gorges, waterfalls, horse riding, boat trips all close by. We would love to return one day.

Great villa - beautiful view!

Where to start with only so many only good things. Well-equiped, good location, privacy, amazing view, great service (Rachel provides a very detailed Welcome Information package with everything you could think off on the villa, shops, restaurants, etc.). The garden and pool have been checked, maintained daily. Everything you can think of (boat tour, food, water, etc.) you can call for / order. Alternatively, in 5 min driving (we had our own car) you are downtown with a lot of shops, restaurants, etc. The area has a lot of nice spots from beaches (Kaputas, Patara, Oludeniz) to ancient historical ruins or activities (Saklikent, diving, boat tour). We (incl 3 kids between 5-13 yrs) had one of our best holidays at Villa Nazli and in the Kalkan area. I can only recommend it, especially for families! We certainly want to come back again to Villa Nazli and Kalkan area. Thank you Rachel!

Amazing in every way. A truly unique find.

How do I begin to put into words how amazing this villa, the owners and Kalkan town are. I feel blessed to have found and experienced this place. The villa is breathtaking in every way. The pool is secluded and away from the gaze of other properties with stunning views that I would never tire of. There are plenty of comfortable sun loungers and a swing bed to while away the hours if relaxing is what you need. The entire property is exceptionally clean and well maintained. The owners have furnished the villa very tastefully and with love and care to every detail. All the bedrooms have great views and are spacious with plenty of storage to make life easier. The balcony's provide yet another view point of the stunning bay. They all have plenty of plug points too - a minor aggravation in some accommodation. Dining in or dining out it is an absolute pleasure. The villa is well equipped for when we wanted to cater for ourselves and sitting by the pool, with the stunning views, could not have been more perfect. We also ventured into Kalkan for evening meals. There is a vast array of restaurants and bars. Food was freshly prepared and the choices were vast. Every restaurant was so accommodating with my restricted vegetarian diet but they never failed to deliver delicious food to myself and my carnivorous friends. The fish especially was stunningly cooked every time. Bars are plentiful too and enjoying a cocktail, looking over the bay, life doesn't get any better. We even enjoyed drinks in a tree house with the bar staff regularly topping up our orders - just perfect. The villa itself is so spacious and well designed. Enjoying a drink on the roof terrace as the sun sets was the best. Even with 7 adults sharing the villa it was never overcrowded and everyone enjoyed their own space if needed. The surrounding areas offer an array of activities for everyone. The owners assisted us in organising a boat trip, with food specially prepared on board to our own taste, which was the highlight of my holiday. The snorkelling was some of the best I have experienced. We even saw turtles. Villa Nazli and Kalkan offers everything I could want from a holiday. It is one of those rare finds that just ticks all the boxes and I would not hesitate to recommend it or book it again. Thank you to Rachel and Paul for the memories and helping us to make it such a special holiday. LR.

Villa Nazli revisited

This is not the first time we have been fortunate enough to stay at this fantastic villa. We have been several times and once again the owners were very accommodating with our requests and timings. Never seem to get tired of the view and we noticed there had been a few improvements highlighting the owners desire to keep this villa in the best possible condition. We once again wanted to organize a boat trip for the day and the owners were only too glad to help. Had a fantastic day out with lovely food cooked onboard. We would continue to have no hesitation in recommending this property for families or friends. Thanks again to the owners.

Idyllic sunshine retreat

Everything we needed and a little bit more besides. 7 adults, one well appointed house and a stunning, panoramic view. Set high enough up the mountain to be away from the hubbub and yet close enough to walk down to town (walking back is only for the athletic...that's what cabs are for!), the house has plenty of both communal and private areas. Perfect. With a beautiful pool and outdoor living areas it's hard to leave behind but with a lovely town full of great restaurants/bars and a great selection of beaches (both natural and beachclub style) you're sure to have as relaxing a stay as we had. We'd recommend hiring a boat for the day and cruising around the islands and bays, especially 'Muddy Beach'! The people are lovely and can't do enough for you. Any questions/issues were thoroughly put to bed by the helpful owners and their staff. Thanks for a great time.

Lovely villa, good location with a great view!

Had another lovely family holiday in Kalkan, this time staying at Villa Nazli. The villa is in a good location with a great vista overlooking the bay and the marina. It’s well kitted out with all the main things you need when you’re away and the small welcome pack was useful for the first morning before we went shopping. Comfortable, well kept furnishings with a fantastic pool and good outside space which our three teenagers loved. Rachel and Paul were always on hand via email if you had any questions and Hamza and Suleyman from KPS were also excellent at answering queries and helping us sort our boat trip. Tefvik the pool/handyman gets a special mention for always smiling and being so helpful. It is a steep walk downhill to the old town but it’s always worth it for the great array of restaurants and bars. The variety of little shops in the old town are also great and you can purchase lots of lovely things to take home. BSG, NEED (opposite the Olive Garden) and Chic Bags (down the first little road by the side of Oscar Watches) are all really good shops for purchasing excellent quality leather handbags. Taxis are very cheap for the homeward journey (15tl). Favourite trips out included the Kaya Restaurant Countryside BBQ, Patara Beach which has a fab breeze which was most welcome in the heat and, a lovely private boat trip on the Sunrise 1 around the bay snorkelling with the fish and enjoying a mud bath! Kalkan never fails to deliver as a lovely holiday destination and we look forward to coming back again next year for round three!,

Fantastic family villa overlooking Kalkan

We had never been to Turkey before but after being invited we stayed at a fantastic family villa with spectacular views of Kalkan. The directions from the airport made it an easy drive of approximately 90 minutes. First impressions of the villa was that it was in a great location; easy drive to the centre of the village, fantastic view of Kalkan and beyond out to sea. The villa has a fantastic decent size pool, plenty of room to relax and lay out. Its clean, spacious and well suited for friends and family to stay at. The terrace area has an ideal seating are for a large family to eat Al Fresco. Overall this is a great villa and would 100% recommend it assuming we are not staying there already.

Just had a fantastic family holiday in Kalkan, staying in a wonderful villa with views to die for.

Stayed at Villa Nazli which has every amenity you could wish for with 7 other family members but there is so much room you did not intrude on anybody else's space. Would definitely recommend this Villa to anyone that wants a piece of paradise in a home from home

Pure luxury for a chilled out break

Totally blown away on where the villia is situated the view of the sea and surrounding countryside was simply stunning , we never had to worry about having a buggy to neogiate and getting a worn out toddler into bed after a night in the village as the access to the villa made it easy. The Villia its self is stylish and clean the being able to see the sea from the bedrooms is just dreamy. We all spent so much time in the pool and had to drag ourselves away to visit some of the places that the owners had suggested (they obvioulsy have absorbed themselves into the Kalkan way of life and know their stuff) to visit while on our stay - was lovely to venture out but we loved coming 'home' it did actually feel like our home even though we were there for a week.... would go back in the drop of a beach towel..... Paul and Rachel are obvioulsy very house proud and organised they have thought of everything - we cannot fault out stay ..just wish it was longer .......thank you for making our stay so carefree and enjoyable - can't recommend enough .

Idyllic - everything we wanted and more....

A truly idyllic holiday location, providing everything we needed for a relaxed and therapeutic break away from the stresses of modern life. The villa was just stunning in every way and far exceeded our expectations. It had everything we needed for a modern and comfortable home from home. It was simple but sophisticated in its decor, very clean and the views from the balconies were breathtaking. Our favourite time of day without question was having cocktails on an evening, while watching the sunset. We could not have chosen a more perfect place to have a holiday. The pool was a delight and maintained to an exceptional standard too. What added to the appeal of this place was the location and the quick and easy journey into the local town which was so friendly and welcoming and had a charm all of its own. Great for when I didn't want to cook. Although we do not have young children anymore, it would also make an amazing family holiday home with every facility you need at your fingertips. You can feel that the owners of this home have put their hearts into ensuring it is a home from home. Rachel and Paul - we cannot wait to book again. Simply a beautiful villa in a beautiful location. Thank you for all your help in ensuring our holiday was everything we needed and more. My only problem was I did not want to come home!

Relaxing location and stunning views

This is a great place if you want to have a relaxing and peaceful place to stay, but want to be near enough to the lovely town of Kalkan where the nightlife and restaurants are great. No need to rent a car if you are staying in the vicinity as the taxis are cheap and plentiful. The villa is spacious and beautifully kept with all modern conveniences. All of the bedrooms have great views of the town and harbour, a great way to wake up every morning. We cant speak highly enough of the villa and have recommended it to many people. We cant wait to go back.

Fabulous Villa - what more could you ask for!

Easy to book and very helpful with great information on the local area too. Hamza and the team in Kalkan were kind too. Tefik, who cleaned our pool daily was a delight! Villa Nazli is indeed a home from home; all the modern amenities you could want. The villa has great views from all rooms. Amazingly quiet and peaceful too. We had such a relaxing holiday. Kalkan really does have a special charm... What more can I say...we are booked for next year! Rachel and Paul you have a truly wonderful home out there, thank you for sharing it with us.

Amazing - no other word for it!!

We booked Villa Nazli for our honeymoon and its, without doubt the best place we have ever stayed. Gorgeous villa, beautiful views and booking process was very easy and pleasant. Rachel and Paul were so helpful and great to deal with and Hamza, our local contact was brilliant too. Kalkan is a lovely place with lots of great bars and restaurants. Belgins kitchen, baharat, fish terrace and kosk were among our favourites. Patara beach is well worth a visit. We used the very reasonably priced local taxis to get to and from town and the villa. Text 5 mins before you need a driver and he will be there. Easy and reliable. Highly recommended and we will be back!

One not to be missed

We stayed at Villa Nazli in September 2013 as a party of six. It was the first time at the villa (indeed in any villa) and our first time in Turkey and we were won over by both the villa and the lovely Turkish people. The villa is large and spacious, has all the mod cons and the views are to die for. We were glad to be staying out of the town (its about a mile, maybe less) as Kalkan can get quite vibrant in the evenings and you couldn’t escape the noise if you were staying in the town. The kitchen in the villa is well equipped, though we ate out the majority of the time once we realised how cheap and good the food was in the town. The bedrooms are a decent size and have aircon. There is also a very useful area on the top floor and terrace to wash and dry clothes, plus it also doubles up as another chill out area with sunbeds and catches more of a breeze on hot days. The outside terrace and pool areas were lovely and large enough to accommodate everyone without feeling you were on top of each other. There is a large table under an awning just outside the kitchen for eating and reading and plenty of sun loungers on the lower terrace by the pool for sleeping. Don’t underestimate how hilly it is and the roads out of the town are not so well maintained for cars, but all are passable with care. If you want to walk then it’s best to walk to the town before 8am when it is cooler, but coming back by taxi is recommended. If you do the walk once you will understand why! We paid on average the equivalent of £1 per person each way. Taxis are plentiful and you never have to wait more than 10 minutes for one from the villa. There is a taxi rank in the town with plenty of taxis. They all understand “Villa Nazli”. Kalkan has a wealth of places to eat to suit all pockets but we still couldn’t get over how reasonably priced even the most upmarket restaurants were – the most we paid was £30 a head and that was for three courses and all drinks and we do like a drink! Imported wine is very expensive but Turkish wine is lovely and we had that with every meal. Pop to one of the local supermarkets to get a better feel for what is available and there is a chance you will find it on the restaurant menu. Its also worth noting that the restaurants became more expensive the nearer the harbour you got. The Hotel Mediteran just down the road from the villa has a good alternative restaurant with great views and food. It was a great experience and we will be visiting again soon.

We are Rachel & Paul, we have three young children and two teenagers. We fell in love with Kalkan some time ago and knew it was the right place for us to purchase our holiday home.

We lead busy lives but hope to spend more time out in Kalkan in the future; it's such a wonderful location!

We are honest, decent people and are looking to rent our home out to similar people who wish to experience Kalkan and it's wonderful views and quaint town with it's unique atmosphere.

We will look to help you out all we can and make your experience of Villa Nazli & Kalkan second to none!

Why they chose this property

We bought Villa Nazli after viewing dozens of others due it's breathtaking views and the proximity to the old town. It's located in a very peaceful area and offers total privacy.

There is a restaurant within 2 mins walk and a small shop within 10 mins. The old town is approx 15 mins down a signposted path.

Prior to 2012, Nazli had been very successfully rented out by Simpson's travel, who are a very reputable, high end travel company.

What makes this property unique

The Villa has all modern conveniences. It is a complete home from home and has all catering needs covered. It is ideal for those with mobility issues due to it's private drive access direct to the front door coupled with a downstairs double room and shower room. Nazli is also suitable for those with children and we have tried to cater for all their needs from cots, highchairs to plastic tableware, cutlery and some basic beach/pool toys.

The pool has integrated Roman steps which makes it easier for children & the elderly.
