This historic 1924 bungalow style home is in a quiet and safe neighborhood. Great comfortable home with a lot of windows and living/dining room for family gatherings. Large deck is located at the back of the house and has a private back yard. Plenty of off street parking with a gate at the back of the driveway that can be locked to store motorcycles or a car. One mile to the Historic Strand District. A seven minute walk to the Seawall, shopping and many great restaurants.

A Delight by the Sea

It was a wonderful place to spend a week in Galveston. The home was perfect for our stay. The home was very clean and was well supplied with everything you will need during your stay.

Snowbird sanctuary

Charming century house with everything you need to make your stay perfect. Very quiet neighbourhood, close to the beach. Lots to do in Galveston as well. The hosts are super nice folks that truly embody the southern hospitality.

Short getaway

Nice little 2 bedroom house just a couple blocks from the beach in a nice neighborhood. Very convenient parking in the driveway. Home was very clean.

Galveston Beach Vacation

Beautiful home, great location, awesome host that thought of everything. Many amenities provided and a great outside closed in place for our dogs. Very welcoming to all of us.

Cute house on quiet street

Family of 4 adults, 1 child and a dog enjoyed a very comfortable stay. Everything was clean, and brightly painted. The beach and great restaurants are in walking distance, but the kitchen was also well equipped with everything we needed to enjoy some home cooked meals too.

Lovely home!

Such a cute and comfy place to stay! Loved all the “extras” in the kitchen and bathroom. Love the location and cleanliness. Host was so very nice. The only thing I would change is a way to darken the front bedroom. Love the lead glass window but hard to sleep in when the sun comes up. Would definitely stay here again!

Worth six points!

I gave the best ratings for all the above features, but Kathy went above and beyond in so many ways. Two different kinds of coffee makers - wow! Everything in the kitchen we could hope for! Very communicative and accommodating! Furnished with the comfort of guests in mind.

Am a fan of historic architecture and this was the first time I got to live in a historically significant home in an historic neighborhood. The icing was that this was in Galveston. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed for cooking during a month long stay. Kathy is an attentive landlord available to answer all questions. Will be recommending to family and friends.

Wonderful house near the beach in Galveston

My husband and I along with our dogs, had a wonderful time at Kathy's beautiful house in Galveston. Kathy was great about communicating and the house was just as described and perfect for our weekend. We look forward to staying at Kathy's again!

Awesome Stay!

My wife and I had a wonderful time here. The house was a beautiful historic house that was kept in great shape. Off street parking was great to have. It was very comfortable, we had everything we needed to make our stay wonderful. The location was great, just a quick 5-minute walk to the beach, Paradise Pier, The Seawall, restaurants, etc. The neighborhood was quiet, which is a plus for us. Exploring Galveston during the day was easy, so much history in this town. If we travel to Galveston again, we will definitely rent here again.

Vacation stay in 1924 Galveston home

We can highly recommend this property and Kathy the owner. Everything was as promised. The arts-and-crafts home was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The walk to the beach was 7-10 minutes, but everything was less than ten minutes by car.

Property owner was fantastic and the property was amazing and just as detailed. We enjoyed being able to spend the evening together in the property and on the back porch and the location to everything was great so we didn’t have a long drive to do activities.

This property was amazing. Communication with the owner was spot on. Check in and check out process simple. This property is ose to the beach which is convenient with traffic on the weekends. It has everything that you could want/need for a short staybaway from home. The guest book gave insights on just how long they have been doing this and amazing suggestions on where to go/eat/play. The only suggestion I would make to the amazing owner is to get a new mattress in the guest room. Other than that a flawless stay in the home. If i return to Galveston i would stay there again.

Short trip to the beach

The house is super cute and within walking distance of the beach. Great back patio with fence for our dog. They even had doggie blankets and bowls available in case you left your pet's at home. We had a great time during our stay.

We love the island life! We are blessed with a beautiful family, career and now this awesome beach home. We work really hard, so we can play really hard. We love to have family time, travel, and fish. We purchased this house to share with lots of family and friends and hope that you will enjoy it as much as we do. Our goal is for all of our guests to sit back, relax and love Galveston as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

We love the beach, love to fish, and most of all we love family time! Therefore, with Galveston only one hour away, we all decided this was the perfect place. Galveston has so much history, charm, GREAT restaurants, shopping and so much more to see and do that you can easily spend a week here and never run out of things to do. It also has the world's longest continuous sidewalk which attracts walkers, joggers, bicyclists, skaters and many more activities. So, if you like to be active, it's a great place or, if you prefer to relax, just grab a good book and enjoy the beach! We wanted to allow others to enjoy Galveston and our home as much as we do; therefore, we designed and furnished our home with comfort and entertainment in mind. Consequently, it's not just a vacation rental, it's a vacation home! Seaside Delight has been fully renovated with all new appliances, remodeled bathrooms, refinished floors and great bedrooms. With a large private deck and backyard. It is like a brand new home, but maintains the charming, historic cottage look and feel of the early 1900's.

Seaside Delight is just that. A delightful home for your vacation. Close to the Pleasure Pier, the historic Strand and just 5 blocks to the beach! For parking ease, we have a long driveway with access from the front of the house. You can easily park your boat or 4 large vehicles without relying on street parking. If you like entertaining outdoors you will love our backyard retreat with a privacy fence, large deck and plenty of seating areas.
