Lovely cottage with everything to suit our needs. Rothbury is a lovely quaint place with numerous independent local shops, pubs and cafes. A brilliant base to visit Alnwick, Amble and Alnmouth and Bamburgh Castle.
Cottage is perfectly located in town centre but very quiet and peaceful within an enclosed courtyard. Rothbury has a lot to offer, great shops, food, pubs, and beautiful walking and cycling nearby. We were comfortable and felt very much at home here.
Clean, user friendly, well equipped and in an ideal location. Surrounded by green rolling hills, Rothbury proved to be a great base and very friendly and welcoming.
We had a wonderful week staying at Conway House. The location was perfect for exploring Northumberland and the house had everything we needed. Peter, the owner, gave very clear instructions and also recommended some things to do in the area. Would definitely go again.
Well equipped cottage, tucked away behind the high street. Cottage was very clean on arrival. Ideal base for visiting some beautiful beaches and exploring nearby towns with walks straight from the door. Rothbury has everything you could need, co-op, a number of pubs, the best toy shop in the world (according to my youngest) and a host of gift shops. Would definitely recommend a stay here, the owner was very helpful with suggestions of where to go before we arrived.
A good sized cottage for 4 adults with a well equipped kitchen and large bathroom.
Fast broadband.
A secluded courtyard and quiet spot despite being close to all amenities. An excellent location to explore surrounding countryside, coastline and golf courses.
The cottage and Rothbury were both perfectly placed for exploring the Northumberland. We enjoyed walks straight from the door as well as exploring the coast and Vindolanda.
The cottage, which is in the centre of Rothbury, but tucked away and private, was comfortable and cosy. Thank you Peter for the excellent directions and information on the area.
The good:central location,warm cottage,spacious, comfy beds
The less good:lack of attention to detail:hairs in shower drain, shower hot/cold tap came loose but landlord didn't offer to come and fix,had to tighten with knife, several light bulbs not working. However, despite of all that we enjoyed our stay and would return
We had a wonderful, restful time at this delightful cottage. Plenty of walks, good places to eat. Cottage very well equipped. Didn't need for anything.
Wonderful short stay in gorgeous cosy cottage with a real fire to die for, great rooms and layout. Ideally placed in the hub of the village but set back for privacy and peace, faultless, thank you Peter x
We had a lovely few days in this warm and comfortable cottage which kept out the Northumbrian winter. The living room was a great place to shake of the rain and cold, especially with the open fire. The bed was incredibly comfy and the large bathroom was spotless and always felt warm. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to visit Rothbury or who would like a base to explore Northumberland.
Conway cottage is simply lovely particularly the bathroom. Having a very very tall husband, he loved the shower! All aspects of cottage are very comfortable. Very peaceful with NO outside noise, slept really well.
The village is well served by good pubs/food, andRothbury is a good base for explorjng the area. Cant wait to return. Thank you!!
I had the best time in Rothbury , the cottage was lovely , clean & cosy . The people are so friendly . The owner was always at the end of the phone to help with any problems . I highly recommened this cottage . I would definately go back again .
A friend and I stayed at Conway Cottage for a week. The cottage was perfect for us and the location in the centre of Rothbury is ideal. Highly recommended.
My parents had a lovely relaxing week away in your cottage. Everything they needed, they raved about the huge bathroom and theoughly enjoyed their time. The lovely neighbour even helped when they locked themselves out!! Would highly recommend his cottage if you are looking for relaxation and a beautiful tranquil location. Thank you Peter.
The cottage is in an astonishing setting in the centre of a lovely small town full of interesting independent shops and inns . The location was superb. The cottage was comfortable and warm. We would revisit.

Lovely cottage
Great location, lovely cosy cottage. Parking was easy, shops and places to eat easy to find on foot. Well equipped kitchen. You'll really love it!. Only negative points are that the shower floor is somewhat disconcerting, it is springy! And there was only 1 half full toilet roll in the bathroom!

We continue to look after the Cottage to keep its 4 star Visit Britain rating. We love the area and our children have really enoyed the mountain biking, fishing, beaches and river walks.
