Alexandria - Lake Cowdry - 100' Sand Bottom Beach, 4 BR, 3 Bath

This peaceful private home is surrounded by trees and the lake yet minutes from Alexandria and all its attractions including The Central Lakes Trail - 5 minutes by bike. There is everything you need to make this vacation enjoyable such as the 100' beach with an adult size sand pit next to the lake, very large deck facing the lake and surrounding the entire back of the house, and a fire pit surrounded by paver stones for sitting around making S'mores. There are four bedrooms, three bathroom (one is in master bedroom), new remodeled fully furnished kitchen, new four season porch, family room on both floors, formal dining room, high speed internet. The dock has a weed roller attached to keep the beach clean on one side of the dock and the other side has both a boat lift. Most pan fish can be caught right off the dock and cleaned in the 'fish cleaning' room. You will love the beautiful sunsets to watch on the deck with two patio sets, & many camping chairs. You can grill your food and sip on your favorite beverage while watching the sparkling waters of Lake Cowdry. There are two fireplaces should the nights get cool. The lower level has a cedar shake decorated wet bar complete with sink, full size fridge, high table and chairs.

Great for family rental

This rental worked out so well for our family, we had bedrooms for each of our adult children . We loved the fire table on the deck and used this often and thoroughly enjoyed the tiki bar for evenings of games!

Family vacation

We have been taking family vacations for 13 years now, this home has everything we needed and more. We loved being out on the water, so clean! We also enjoyed sitting on the porch and playing games around the large table!

Awesome home with lots to do

This was our first time staying at this home and it did not disappoint! We absolutely loved all things water - sandy area for beach toys, weed free sandy area to swim, large dock, boat lift to name a few. The kitchen and dining area were perfect for our large family! The owner was very responsive and friendly. We plan to be back!!!

Great Time - Great Sunsets

We had a wonderful time at Pat's place. Plenty of room for everyone. We caught many fish right off the dock. Including a few large mouth bass. The deck and lake were great places to view the sunsets each night.

Family vacation

The property gave us plenty of room for our family. Nice sand area for our granddaughter to play. Nice deck - the patio tables could use umbrellas to protect from the sun / while enjoying the view. Cody was very helpful.

Great Lake time and family time

Plenty of room for the family, tons of games both indoors and out available. Just about everything you need in the kitchen is there. The dock and electric winch for the boat lift were amazing. We caught bass, pan fish and northerns. The water is so clear and was amazing to swim in. Enjoy!!

Amazing Stay

From the moment you walk in, this beautiful property has you feeling right at home. The lake itself is perfect and the house is set up with all the essentials you may need! We so appreciated the lake toys for use and yard games! Kids loved fishing, swimming, and kayaking while the adults enjoyed the yard games and bevies in the lounge chairs! Would 100% recommend! The host was very communicative and super friendly! Definitely cares about his property - it shows!

Great Family Cabin Week

The cabin is spacious, well-kept and accommodated our family quite well. We especially liked the enclosed sunroom, great deck, huge kitchen and dining room table and the fish clean room. We enjoyed several water activites- kayaking, fishing off the dock, swimming, boating and the entire lake view. The weed roller was a big plus ! The grandkids loved the sandbox and the lily pad as well.. Thank you for sharing your lake cabin - we had a wonderful time.

Family Vacation

We loved the space inside and out. Location was wonderful: quiet neighborhood and close to the public boat landing and to the bike trail. Yard was amazing with a great front yard for yard games and plenty of space to park. Backyard has a wonderful big deck, nice dock, great swimming area and a sand beach that the kids loved. The game selection kept us busy the rain day and more.

Lots of fun!

This place was just what our family was looking for! A great dock, beach, and a weed roller that cleared out the lake for a perfect swimming area. The house was spacious enough for our large family that included grandparents and a bunch of kids. Close to town too for shopping trips and movie night. Loved it!

Spacious family cabin

We loved this property! There was plenty of room to spread out both inside the house and outdoors. The house was fully stocked with pretty much everything we wanted or needed, there was even some leftover condiments in the fridge! It was clean and well kept up. The kids loved the sandbox/beach area! The lake water was clear and welcoming. We had good weather so having no AC in the lower level was not a problem for us!

Lake Cowdrey house rental

This was our second stay at Patricia‘s Lake house. It is spacious and well-equipped to enjoy a wonderful family trip. A highlight was the nightly gorgeous sunsets with the sound of loons flying over. We enjoyed the kayaks provided on the chain of lakes. The kitchen is stocked with everything you might need and there are family games galore to enjoy. Thanks again Patricia for sharing your home!

Clean, perfect spot to relax for Christmas

We planned a last minute getaway for Christmas to be with family. Patricia was very accommodating with our last minute reservation. The house was spotless and it was much appreciated. It was the perfect size for our 6 adults to spread out and have their own space. I would say the pictures online don't do justice to the house as it's much brighter and welcoming in person. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The huge dining room table was perfect for our meals & nightly games. My 19 year old son, husband & brother-in-law did quite a bit of ice fishing and caught several smaller walleyes & as well as a 21" walleye! House was perfect distance from lake! I had my coffee in the sunroom each morning and enjoyed watching the lake wake up. Even saw a coyote checking the lake out. Thank you to Patricia & her family for the perfect location for some much needed family time.

I was born and raised in central Minnesota. We always enjoyed camping, water skiing, fishing and just being outside. I began doing maintenance on this cabin for a close family friend. That developed into a great friendship between multiple families. I was able to purchase the property in 2022. We look forward to making new memories here for years to come.

Why they chose this property

We were lucky to be able to purchase this property in 2022. We wanted it within 2-3 hours of home so we could enjoy it as much as possible during both the summer and winter. The area is fantastic. The fishing is fantastic in the area, there is an abundance of bike, snowmobile, and hiking trails. Close access to Arrowwood Resort, fairgrounds, racetrack, winery, breweries. The town is quaint, but big enough to have everything you need to enjoy your trip.

What makes this property unique

We love the big wide windows facing the lake covering most of the dining room and living room walls. When the kitchen was remodeled, another opening was made to be able to view the lake. Our favorite spot is the deck, especially to watch the sunsets - they are priceless. No pets or smoking on the property.
