A beautiful complex in a wonderful natural setting with very friendly and uncomplicated hosts. We really enjoyed our holiday and can recommend the accommodation 100%.
A perfect relaxing week in the heart of Trenwith. Wonderful to see birds and animals. So so peaceful with a prefect cottage as our base. Thank you Gillian and Jeremy!
The week at Jeremy's cottage was great. The house was very clean and well furnished. The garden is huge and beautiful. The location is extremely quiet. We will definitely be back when we are in Cornwall again.
Very nice week at the cottage .Enjoyed beaches and getting out and exploring. Old tin mine and walk, st ives carbis bay lands end st Michael's mount . Boys enjoyed paddleboarding and body boarding .
We’ve rented this property for 7 nights. Peaceful, beautiful surroundings, picturesque garden and a cozy little home with very clean rooms and bathrooms. Jeremy has been very accommodating, and it’s very hard to think of things to complain about. We will definitely think of this hideaway again if we want to have another holiday in St Ives.
If you want quit and/or secluded thats the place to go.
Lovely gardens. Unfortunately the weather was a bit cold
with a lot of wind. That made sitting and anjoying the ouside problematic. We went out with the car a lot to visit like Mousehole and stIves etc..
We enjoyed our stay a lot.
Driving on the narrow roads was quite a challenge.

A lovely unexpected cream tea awaited us on arrival, with ample milk for a well earned cuppa after travelling.
Peaceful and calm setting, the grounds are lovely to have a walk about.
Off the beaten track, so no noisy neighbours.
Slight critique, personal preference would of liked more plumed up pillows (they were a tad flat, and double mattress on the firm side) slept OK however and would highly recommend.
Ideal spot for reading, writing or painting, thank you to G & J for sharing your lovely Cornwall plot, oh and not forgetting the beautiful Blue hydrangeas. Xx
Our 3rd consecutive stay, The Hideaway Cottage was very clean, had everything we needed, comfortable bed, lovely shower and the new sofa and chair were very comfy too. The grounds were as amazing as ever, we spent more time there than anywhere else, the wildlife is amazing. Jill and Jeremy are perfect hosts, lovely welcome, cream tea waiting for us too and they also made recommendations of where to visit. I would highly recommend staying here.
Gruss Michael B.
It greatly suited our needs as we were planning many short trips to attractions in the area. It was easy to access but at the same time gave a place of total peace and quiet. Our host supported and assisted us in every way. We would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone.
Cosy cottage in secluded quiet location just a few miles from St Ives. Cornish Cream Tea on arrival was very welcome. As others have mentioned there is limited storage in the cottage especially for clothes. The lounge furniture has also been changed recently and unfortunately is quite uncomfortable.

Maybe harsh but true
Firstly beware! What you see is NOT what you get! The photos are really old and do not reflect the property NOW!
This review will be truthful and therefore somewhat harsh.
The location of Hideaway Cottage is stunning and it has so much potential which according to the old photos was once fully reached. However, sadly it has now become run down, very tired and unkempt!
I will begin with the positive. We stayed in October when the weather was not good but there was plenty of hot water and the heating was efficient and lovely to return to on a cold Autumn day. The double bed was very comfortable and the showers worked well. Dining area was comfortable and the Kitchen generally good. The host was helpful and friendly and answered requests promptly. Crockery, cutlery and glass were acceptable but could do with a couple of proper wine glasses (only 50p!) The tv is ok but really needs updating as the colour was poor. Plenty of DVDs and games. There was a nice cream tea on arrival and fresh roses, much appreciated. The grounds are stunning although rather let go, such a shame. But it was Autumn so this may be different in Spring.
REALLY NEEDING ATTENTION
The bed linen was awful, it had been washed but the pillowcases were stained brown with use and other stains on the duvet covers Pillows were poor quality and uncomfortable. The twin beds were really uncomfortable and we had to ask for a duvet to soften the surface a little. One of the worst things was the sofa and chairs in the lounge! Firstly they were NOT the comfortable suite shown in the photos but small hard leather or plastic ones that were back breaking after a few minutes. I will try to attached photo, not even a 10 year old could stretch out on the sofa. We had to get a sun lounger in from the garden for my son to comfortably watch a movie. There are no wardrobes or drawers to put clothing in. There is plenty of space to put substantial three drawer bedside cabinets to facilitate better storage. Also a wardrobe could be fitted in in the hallway next to the shelves! The twin room seemed very damp in the bedside cabinets and there is an ugly dirty area around the toilet, probably indicating a slow leak from the toilet. Kitchen was ok but some pans are very gunged on the outside, need ditching! There was no small sharp knife but when asked we were provided with one. Non of the other knives and scissors would cut butter! Both lamps in lounge were broken. Site now going to to stop me!!!
Great trip from start to finish the cottage was beautiful and very clean. Plenty to do without having to drive to far. Plenty of wildlife and the lakes were very picturesque. Would highly recommend.
Supper house abs fantastic location. Had a wonderful stay!

Beautiful private cottage
Lovely little quaint cottage, excellent for a quiet stay a bit spooky at night though. Had to wash all the greasy pans and utensils before use, and sanitised throughout. Thick dust under the bed and cobwebs on the light fittings but overall not a bad cottage. If you want peace and quiet I would recommend. Enjoyed the cream scones on arrival
