Lovely location with so much potential, such a shame it has been badly organised.
A stunning location and lovely garden, the photos don't do it justice. Sadly so much could be done to improve this villa, the listing is misleading and organisation terrible.
Arriving was a confusing and stressful start. Juan said to meet him in the supermarket in Maspalomas, with the language barrier it took an hour of confusion before finding him. After a long days travelling we didn't need to be told off or insulted for being at the wrong supermarket, especially as he said there was only one in town! He was impatient and rude and finally, after we found him, he insisted on taking us all the way to the other supermarket to show where we were meant to have met. This was irrelevant by then and we just wanted to get to the villa, eat, sleep and use the bathroom! On arrival he spent ages showing us how to switch lights on and off and other obvious things, which was an insult to our intelligence! A very infuriating start, a key safe on the gate would've been so much simpler!
It's currently listed as having a jacuzzi, hot tub and a pool. We found there was no hot tub, no swimming pool as such, nor a jacuzzi! We wrote to the owners via this site and they argued claiming that nowhere was a hot tub mentioned and that they did not know what jacuzzi meant. I've copies of the listing stating the amenities, a translation issue perhaps? I told them the pool was too cold to use and they did send out a man who turned up the heat. There's only a tiny plunge pool which you can not swim in, it does have jacuzzi jets but they did not work. We told Juan by text of this fault, he read the message but duly ignored it. We decided to make do, easier than wasting our break trying to rectify all the faults.
The garden is stunning with many plants and plenty of wildlife, unfortunately it's not as private as suggested. The villa is alone and not overlooked by other properties but the road around it is busy with people continually walking past. The fence looks as if it provides privacy but is actually see through. Several times whilst eating or sun bathing there have been groups of locals standing watching us through the fence which I found most uncomfortable.
The villa is basic and kitchen under equipped, things don't work, utensils you'd expect like chopping boards, colanders, spatulas etc. aren't there. We made do but if we'd stayed longer I probably would have bought a few bits myself.
All in all, with a bit of organisation and a few repairs, this would be paradise!
