Stunning property

The accommodation was stunning. Beautiful, cosy and very peaceful. An ideal base to explore the Island. Everything you could need is in the property. A real home from home and the hot tub is a bonus. The only dissappointment for us was not meeting Nick and Kristina, as the reviews had said how friendly they were but on this occasion they chose to stay away. But would recommend this property.

A great holiday getaway

Fabulous holiday cottage, very well equipped and maintained. Kristina & Nick take great care of the property, and the facilities they offer. The pictures don't lie - it is lovely! The Hot Tub in the courtyard was a real bonus - even though we had some of hottest June weather in decades it was still lovely to get some bubbles at the end of the day! We hope to return again, and will be telling our family & friends about this lovely little cottage. Colwell Bay was a lovely beach - a very shallow slope so great for young children. The Dancing Water at Ryde was good, and if you like garlic try The Garlice Farm, and garlic icecream...

Perfect! Excellent quality & Value

A lovely quiet little place, with more living space than anticipated and furnished to a high standard throughout. The kitchen had been especially thoughtfully equipped with everything you could possibly need. The hospitality offered by the owners was superb, the perfect blend of friendly attentiveness that was never intrusive. The hot tub on a clear starry night was an added bonus. I would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing rural escape or island touring base.

The Dairy

My cousin and I stayed at The Dairy in Thorley for a week and had a wonderful time. The accommodation was just as it said on the website and the pictures were accurate. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The owner had left a lovely welcome pack including fresh eggs from the nearby farm and a loaf of bread as well as a pint of milk. The kitchen was very well stocked and there was plenty of room in the built in wardrobe to hang clothes. We were only a ten minute drive from the nearest town which had some lovely places to eat. All in all we had a lovely time and we have already recommended this place to family and friends. I would certainly like to go back for a visit next year.

Host profile image
I am a local born and bred Islander, who has trained as a boat builder, specializing in traditional wooden boats. I Have developed a few properties with my father and the farm being our greatest which we are very proud of. I'm a keen surfer who enjoys water sports around the island.

Why they chose this property

The farm dates back to over 300 years old, but was only used as a cattle and dairy farm, myself and father converted the barn recently. The cottage is in a Thorley village with beautiful surroundings, but only a short walk to Yarmouth, and 10-30 minutes drive to lovely beaches.

What makes this property unique

On arrival you will receive a very warm welcome from us with a local produce packed hamper to help you get settled in for your stay at 2 The Dairy. The cottage also has great outside space with lovely garden and patio/terrace area and great views of the countryside.
