Villa dos Duquinhos is a unique villa overlooking the ocean and the picturesque village of Salema Beach, boasting some of the most panoramic ocean and coastal views in the Algarve.

The villa has been completely renovated and refurbished, with air conditioning installed throughout. In the main house, you’ll find three bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom. There is also a spacious living room that includes a comfortable lounge and dining area, as well as a fully fitted kitchen.

Additionally, there are two separate apartments:

The first apartment (pool level) features a living/bedroom with three beds and an en-suite bathroom. One of these beds is a sofa that can be converted into a bed.

Down the steps from the pool area, you’ll find the second apartment, offering a living/bedroom with three beds, a kitchen, and an en-suite bathroom. Again, one of the beds is a sofa that can be converted into a bed.

Beautiful villa with lots of seating both indoor and outdoors. Lovely pool and lovely view out to sea. Communication with host was always easy. Suitable for large family groups.

We had a great stay in the House. We found everything we needed for an amazing family vacation! Several coffee options, electric milk frother, all kind of kitchen utensils, the amazing view, the pool and the spacious villa…We would definitely come again. Consider to bring some warm clothes as it was very windy, especially in the evening.

Amazing house and location. Zero contact with property, I had a problem during check in process, I try to contact them by phone, they did not reply, neither phone back. When we arrived the house was completly opened, everybody could have break in.

Beautiful well equipped spacious villa! Space for 10 of us to relax, cook and eat together, or in smaller groups. View was wonderful, beach a short walk away, great cocktail bars and restaurants also walking distance. We would definitely return!

Great house with great conditions and view
The house is really amazing. The place is beautiful but quite windy. The communication with the host was the lowest part: the number is not always available and the directions to the check in were confusing, which made us lost for some time. Nonetheless, the house is very beautiful with a great pool and view and everything you need for a confortable stay.

really fantastic views
My opinion may be affected by a glass of wine verde we brought from Portugal, but our stay at the end of June was just great. This house is exceptionally situated, with a view of the sea and Salema, has a spacious terrace safely separated from the pool part. With the pool, jacuzzi and a grill, 4 rooms with doublebeds, we (4 families with 4 kids) enjoyed our stay very much. Salema is quiet place - exactly what we wanted and needed. Highly recommended. We love the house in our stay in Salema. The house is nice with a great view and a great pool. We had most everything that we needed for our stay. There were some minor things that the owners could easily correct. For a beach vacation house, I would expect there to be a few of the things that you normally take to the beach such as an umbrella and chairs, sand toys for kids. As for cooking, the frying pans are a complete disaster, the Teflon is so scratched up that they are a health hazard. We ended up buying our own pan so we could cook. In addition, the grill, while very traditional is virtually unusable with the wind that is pretty common here. We had plans on grilling a bunch of seafood, but we’re never really able to due to the set up. We also found a need for simple things such as the night lights we left behind, or a starter set of soap and shampoo for the showers. The final thing to note is that the description is not entirely accurate. The house says it has three en suite bedrooms on the main floor, when in fact, there are two, well the third does not have a toilet. The toilet for that bathroom is also powder room. In the two apartments, the kitchens are not really kitchens more of a minibar set up. Just things to know if you’re looking to reserve this in the future. As for anywhere in Salema , I’m not sure you can beat this house. Also, as a side note, there are some great hiking trails that you can access from a little alley on the road to the house.

Lovely villa , beautiful views but some shortfalls
This is a lovely villa , with beautiful views , but for our family ( 2 adults and 5 teenage kids) there were some issue especially at these rental rates. Firstly, the Internet only works in a few rooms , no internet in apartment or bedroom on the pool deck and the speeds are very slow. TV was supposed to have all internationals problem was there were mostly German and Dutch . Bed linen was stained in some rooms and very worn. The kitchen appliances were poor quality and the utensils were VERY limited with some broken. As an example the BBQ utensils was limited to a charcoal thongs and one food thongs. Very limited serving dishes and bowls , one to be exact , which is bad for a house that sleeps 10 ! We had friends over one night and used a sauspan as a large salad bowl ! Not enough fans around the house, and it was very hot every night

A casa é sublime, o local sossegado e pertinho da praia (a pé nem sequer 10 minutos), os quartos e wc são grandes, a cozinha tem de tudo 👏 a zona de estar tb bastante aconchegante. O quarto do anexo junto à piscina tb é bastante grande, pena não ter acesso direto ao interior da casa. Amazing Location & Property
Our stay was everything we could have hoped for the pictures of the villa didn’t do it justice. I will try and give positives and things that could be an issue + beds very comfortable + villa very well equipped + All towels bedding good quality and clean + hairdryers in every room + parking easy for 3 cars anymore would have been a small challenge the gate to the property not working + property and pool cleaned weekly (not the pool area which we had to do during our 3 week stay) + TV plenty of choice with almost every channel you can think of - only watched for the football + plenty of outside space for our group to be together and apart + 10min walk to the town (20min very steep back) worth it for the views +owner very easy to deal with and very prompt in replying which was appreciated when we had a small problem on arriving - resolved quickly + 2 large supermarkets very close we found Lidl the best + smaller supermarket 5mins walk had any daily stuff needed + table tennis table great fun + pool brilliant but very very cold (no heating available) - bbq needs the inside replacing fallen apart and was quite difficult to use and clean - I would be wary of small children - steps quite steep between main house and pool - no hand rail into the pool - I would suggest getting more plastic glasses for by the pool - property would benefit from storage box to put cushions in when they got wet they took a while to dry - outside dinning plentiful but they are getting tired and I think they had somehow been touched up a number of us got black marks on legs and clothes - all came off after washing All in all we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend and hope to stay again.

Un séjour inoubliable
Un endroit enchanteur où nous avons pu nous reposer en famille. Une vue à couper le souffle a 2 pas du centre ville et des commerces (en voiture de préférence vue la côte). Tout était parfait, une villa décorée avec soin et un coin salon extérieur qui invite à la détente. Un seul bémol peut-être : la piscine non chauffée. Mais heureusement, la mer est tout près!

Great Holiday Home, Great Location!
After a little hiccup at the check-in with more than one hour delay, caused by the cleaning team who were late to have the property clean on time, everything went perfect during the whole stay. I must declare very clearly this was not at all the property owners fault. In fact, whenever we had any little query, the answer was there immediately, always in a very kind and helpful manner. The place has an incredible view to the beach, the swimming pool was adequately cleaned at the very beginning, the kitchen and dining/seating area very spacious and full of light, TV with all the channels you may wish! What else for an incredible holiday? Really you have it all! Thank you Helen for being so patient with us and we look forward to staying again at your lovely house in a not too distant future.
