Could not recommend this gorgeous cottage more! Everything was prefect from booking to checking out for our lovely long weekend (even though it rained the whole time!) Seawater is a stunning little cottage, with lots of little quirks and comforts including a log burner fire (perfect for the winter!) Ideal location right in the centre of town so a short walk to everything! We will defiantly be re booking for next winter. The perfect little escape!
The cottage was beautifully kept very clean and well equipped, fantastic location , owner helpful and friendly parking space a god send, we have no complaints, will definitely return 👍👍👍
Der Vermieter war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Zu Fuß waren alle Strände des Ortes erreichbar, ebenfalls die Innenstadt. Vor allem die Küche war toll, richtig gemütlich.

A home away from home
We really like Seawater, having stayed here twice now. In fact in all the years we have been visiting St. Ives we haven't found anywhere quite as nice to stay. It's in a great location within walking distance to all of the attractions in St.Ives. So easy to park the car and forget about it for the time we were there. Inside we enjoyed the downstairs kitchen for family time, whilst the Wifi and NowTV provided the entertainment for our teenage children on rainy days.
All in all Seawater has everything you need to enjoy a break in St Ives and we hope to return again soon.

Beautiful, cosy but spacious cottage
The cottage is stunning, it manages to be cosy yet spacious, the kitchen is the hub of this house and is beautiful. Located just a short walk from the town centre it is on a lovely side street. The beds are comfortable and everything is very clean. If you are considering booking this look no further, you certainly won't regret it!

Wonderful cottage
We were really happy with Seawater cottage. It's arranged on 3 floors with a large kitchen/dining area in the basement, opening onto a courtyard, a spacious knocked through sitting room on the ground floor, small but nice bathroom on the half landing and three bedrooms on the top floor. It felt spacious, and is very clean and nicely furnished. The kitchen is well equipped, with a few store cupboard ingredients such as olive oil and balsamic vinegar. We spent most of our time in the kitchen, playing games around the large table.
It definitely has a wow factor, and was surprisingly roomy for what would have been a two up two down.
Could have done with more shelving in the bathroom as we were 2 adults and 2 teenagers, but the shower was powerful.
Only downside was the damn seagulls at 4:30 every morning, but that's part of the St Ives experience. The location is quiet, yet close to everything.
Not having done self catering before, we weren't sure what to expect, but it was at the upper hand no of our expectations. Would recommend.

A comfortable stay in Seawater
The listing description is 'spot on' regarding the location, layout, facilities etc. Seawater is very clean and also very well maintained. Alan and Sharon provide good customer service and my family would not hesitate to recommend Seawater. We all thoroughly enjoyed visiting 'old haunts' from our caravanning days and walking amazing coastal paths in beautiful weather. A birthday celebratory meal at Porthminster kitchen proved to be an excellent choice.

A beautiful home from home with added luxury.
We were absolutely blown away when we arrived at seawater. It has so much space and warmth that we felt at home instantly. On arrival there was a lovely welcome card and gift waiting for us which was a really lovely touch. Thank you.
The bedrooms were a perfect size for our family and there was plenty of room for all of our belongings.
The lounge is a great space, warm and cosy and full of DVDs and games to borrow and watch.
The kitchen was the high point for me, it was a stunning space with absolutely everything you could ever need and more. We have never stayed anywhere on holiday that has been so well equipped, Alan and Sharon really do think of everything. Having outdoor space is a real luxury in st Ives and was lovely for the children to play out in. It wasn't quite warm enough for us to sit out of an evening but I can imagine that this is perfect in the summer months.
On the last day my son (7) said "I want to stay here forever!" I think that says it all!
Thank you for letting us use your perfect cottage, we really really want to return some day.
Best wishes,
The Lewis Family

Gorgeous Cottage in Gorgeous Location
We had an amazing week at Seawater. The cottage is gorgeous. It's really well furnished and the finishings are all very stylish and excellent quality, we slept so well in the beds! We stayed in January so didm't get to make use of the courtyard but it looks beautiful and so nice to have. As we were on a Winter break with a small baby it was really good to have a good selection of TV channels, DVD's and games. Would definitely recommend Seawater and will hopefully be back again soon!

Wonderful Family Christmas
We have just returned from a wonderful family Christmas in St. Ives, staying at Seawater Cottage.
We stayed for Christmas week with our 18 month old daughter and Grandparents - it was just what we hoped for and more.
The cottage is in a brilliant location; a couple of minutes stroll into town, whilst avoiding the passing tourist and busy footfall of many cottages. Seawater has been decorated in a modern Cornish finish - whilst feeling homely. It is well equipped, with all the creature comforts and cooking utensils you will need (we made Christmas dinner!). We even had a lovely real Christmas Tree in the lounge and decorations around the lounge.
There are loads of lovely restaurants in St. Ives - you will be spoilt for choice! We tried The Cornish Deli for lunch (amazing omelettes), The Porthwidden Café (tasty Hake) and The Portminster Café (beautiful Mackerel and squid) - both of the beach restaurants have fantastic views across the beach and sea.
The car park is a 10 minute stroll to the train station - trickier if any of your group struggle with hills; but you could always bring the car round to the cottage.
Overall a magical Christmas and perfect surroundings; we will definitely be back and would recommend Seawater cottage to Visitors to St. Ives. Thank you.
