This large property is located in the heart of some amazing coastal sea paddling in Caithness. Massive sea cliffs, caves, arches, and sea birds just go on and on.
This property allowed us to be all together, plenty of room for cooking, eating together and sleeping. Great views for after paddling cheer.
Property is very nice, pool excellent and we were shown around by tracy who was very lovely. The property could use an upgrade and thats why ive put the cleanliness as 3 stars. However, it was pretty perfect for myself and a group of mates. Location is great with caves and, harbour and fairy glen 10 minites away. Will defo be back!
Exceeded my expectations massively. Photos do not do this property justice! It’s extremely clean, the pool is a perfect size, tranquil location, spacious rooms and space for parking! Owner was extremely helpful and I will 100% be booking again.
Recently spent a long weekend at Avi’s property. The listing doesn’t do it justice, great property and amenities, heated pool is great. Stayed there with 10 adults, 7 kids and 2 dogs. Plenty of space for all of us. Communication was brilliant. Would stay again.
We were greeted by Mary, we were straight away felt welcomed and the kids both got ice lollies,
We were showed around by Mary and Evan some lovely fresh eggs left for us, the house was very well kept and very clean, can not thank Mary enough for making us feel welcome and pointing us the right way for lovely days and Evening meals out, thanks again

Decent property but needs exterior maintenance.
The property has potential to be a great facility but when we arrived the exterior was in poor condition with virtually no paint on the windows and the grass hadn’t been cut for years.
We hired the property for a 30th birthday and there were problems with the showers which wouldn’t work initially but came good later on. The best thing was the swimming pool which the kids loved, although if your hiring a property that is supposed to cater for 20 people you should have a kitchen that can cater for 20 people and not just a run of the mill domestic cooker which was installed. The exterior of the property is not what is portrayed in these photographs as these must have been taken more than twenty years ago. We still had a good break and the inside of the property is in good condition but the owners need to update their website pictures and not mislead potential buyers that the exterior looks like it is protrayed in their pictures as the property had no paint on the windows and the lawn like a jungle.

It was average
Poor maintenance of property most things were not in a good state such as cutlery dishes.they don't provide simple things like a blender or even cleaning products like mops and buckets.window curtain are in a bad state some beds were not in a good condition also some bed mattress are too soft to lay on.The caretaker is clueless and is to busy doings side jobs can't help in the time of need and the front of the house is in a bad state like the grass is over growing on the walk way

well impressed
Listing is accurate in every respect. The house is well maintained clean and tastefully furnished. The location and views are beautiful. Facilities are very good and tourist attractions are plentiful. Owners provide good helpful customer service. We would highly recommend to anyone wishing to self cater in the Northern Highlands.

Paradise
Glorious location, near the northern tip of Scotland. 10 minute walk to the sea. Beautiful scenery. Hundreds of acres of countryside and genuine fresh clean air. Quiet & secluded. Peaceful and relaxing, yet dozens of activities for the restless: indoor swimming, biking, countryside walks, wildlife, shooting, whisky tasting, historical castle, sailing (during our summer visit), and I've left out dozens of other activities.
Stayed there 4 times in the winter and once in the summer. Cannot recommend it highly enough. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time every time, and in all variations of weather. We've been with friends and family: everybody thoroughly enjoyed it, from the babies in their buggies to my elderly uncle in his eighties.
My deepest regret: we cannot go this summer.

We visited Craiglea in August 2012 with some friends and enjoyed it so much that we persuaded our extended family to join us for the following year!
The lodge is furnished to a high level of luxury and comfort. We spent hours in the pool and sauna when we weren't hiking, fishing or other similar activities in the beautiful Scottish Highlands, and spent the long evenings relaxing in the expansive unspoilt grounds that go on for as far as the eye can see.
The adults and children loved it in equal measure and I couldn't recommend it enough.

Spotless, comfortable, and spacious
I stayed at Craiglea Lodge together with friends. We both had young children. I was impressed by the complete experience. The booking process was excellent and professional. We were met at the lodge by the local agent who showed us around and kindly saw to all our needs during the stay. Each room was well furnished and comfortable and as advertised. There's a great spacious area for dining/ relaxing. The star is the pool area which is absolutely lovely; the pool clean and warm with music with surround sound, and a table tennis table to top it all off. The kids had a great time during the day and adults had some private time at night. Would surely recommend to families with children and adult breaks.
A handy tip - I ordered a Tesco grocery order (Wick) to be delivered the evening we arrived which worked out perfectly

The most relaxing place you could imagine
Really comfortable and well equipped . Enjoyed the tremendous views and fresh air. Had a great visit to the old Pulteney distillery in Wick and enjoyed the other local sites. Would definitely go back!
