This exquisite three-bedroom, three-bathroom villa accommodates up to six guests in absolute comfort, with spacious outdoor areas designed for ultimate relaxation.
The Approach
Nestled just above the picturesque bays of Kalami and Koulara, Villa Orlaya offers the perfect blend of privacy and convenience. While secluded enough for a peaceful, tranquil escape, you’re only a few minutes’ drive away from charming tavernas, supermarkets, and local attractions. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by ample parking for two vehicles and wide steps leading to the expansive terrace that welcomes you with panoramic ocean views, setting the tone for your unforgettable stay.
Outdoor Dining
The terrace features a comfortable eight-seater lounge set, ideal for sipping a morning coffee, enjoying an evening game of cards, or casual dining. A huge parasol offers shade from the afternoon sun. Behind the lounge area, a sheltered BBQ area allows the ‘designated chef’ to prepare meals while soaking in the same spectacular views. Whether you're dining under the stars or enjoying a quiet moment with a glass of wine, the outdoor space at Villa Orlaya is a true highlight.
The Kitchen
As you step inside Villa Orlaya, you’ll find a beautifully appointed, fully equipped kitchen designed for both style and function in mind. With top-of-the-line appliances, including a new, large fridge-freezer, an additional wine fridge, Miele washing machine, Miele dishwasher, Nespresso machine, NutriBullet, hand blender, toaster, kettle, oven and a microwave, you have everything you’ll need for a seamless stay.
A generous supply of crockery, cutlery, and glassware ensures you’ll be prepared for every meal, with plastic options and children’s cutlery available too. A highchair is also provided should you need one. An iron and ironing board are provided for those who wish to keep their clothes fresh during their stay, with a generous drying clothes horse and pegs provided.
Inside and Additional outdoor Dining
The kitchen flows into a family-friendly dining area featuring a stunning stone table, seating six, and large French doors which open onto an additional, charming outdoor dining space with a hugely social circular table and cushioned, comfortable carver chairs, all shaded beneath a balcony, perfect for dining al fresco. There is also an upper terrace to the rear of the Villa which has a wonderful ‘BigBoy’ hammock for those wanting some downtime away from other guests, perfect for teenagers!
Living Room
The adjoining living room features a comfortable corner sofa and armchair with footstool, ideal for unwinding after a day of relaxation or exploration. With a 55-inch TV, streaming services like Netflix, and high-speed Wi-Fi powered by ‘Starlink’, you’ll be fully connected and entertained during your stay. There are also SONOS speakers throughout Villa Orlaya, controlled by a wall-mounted iPad for your ease.
For those seeking extra entertainment, we provide a selection of board games, books, and binoculars to watch the boats drifting in and out of the nearby bays.
Bedrooms
Villa Orlaya offers three bedrooms in total. Two king-size ensuite bedrooms are upstairs, each with private balconies and outdoor seating, offering expansive views of the Ionian coastline, including the nearby bays of Kalami, Koulora, and Agni.
▪ The master suite boasts a king-size sleigh bed, a full-length mirror, an ottoman, bedside tables, and ample storage with full length, built-in wardrobes and a further chest of drawers with overhead mirror. The wardrobe provides a bolted, digital safe to take care of valuables. There is an AC unit as well as a gentle overhead fan for those guests not wishing to use air conditioning. The modern ensuite bathroom has a spacious shower, loo and sink with garden views from the window. The bedroom has French doors and a walk-out private balcony with outdoor seating.
▪ The second bedroom has a king-size bed with a Tempur mattress, bedside tables, a padded ottoman, a full-length mirror and a built-in wardrobe with a separate dressing table with mirror; the ensuite features a generous walk-in shower, loo and sink, with a window framing the mesmerizing sea views. There is an AC unit as well as a gentle overhead fan for those guests not wishing to use air conditioning. The bedroom has French doors and a walk-out private balcony with outdoor seating.
▪ A third bedroom, located on the ground floor off the sitting room, is perfect for children or those who prefer not to climb stairs. This twin room is furnished with two single beds, a chest of drawers, a tallboy and a small bedside locker, with French door out to the pool terrace. There is air conditioning.
There is a third bathroom located off the kitchen/diner which has a full walk-in shower, loo and vanity sink. Whilst being the allocated bathroom for the downstairs bedroom, it also acts as the daytime loo or guest loo. We provide a baby bath and seat which may be placed in any of the 3 showers to bathe little ones in. There is also a travel cot and stair gate provided.
All bedrooms have French doors with breathtaking ocean views and are equipped with curtains and full, external blackout shutters, ensuring a restful night’s sleep whenever you desire.
All three bedrooms are also air-conditioned, and an additional AC unit in the kitchen/dining area ensures a pleasant climate throughout the villa.
Every single window and all French doors in the property, including the front door, have been fitted with mosquito nets.
The Infinity Pool
Outside, the villa offers a stunning heated, infinity pool surrounded by six comfortable sun loungers with padded cushions, perfect for relaxing under the sun. The pool’s gentle slope makes it ideal for little ones or anyone who prefers a more gradual entry. The depth of the pool is 1.8m at the deep end, and 0.85 in the shallow end.
The pool’s unique shape mimics the curves of the surrounding coastline, offering a truly spectacular vantage point for incredible views over the Ionian Sea. As the sun sets, the horizon twinkles with the distant lights of Corfu Town, adding a magical touch to your evenings, not to mention the stars!
Villa Servicing
For your comfort and convenience, the villa will be meticulously cleaned twice a week by our dedicated housekeeper, Nertilla, typically on Saturdays and Tuesdays. Fresh bed linen is provided and changed weekly, ensuring a clean and inviting atmosphere throughout your stay.
We also provide a generous supply of towels: one hand towel, one bath sheet, and one beach towel per guest. Towels are replaced twice a week, so you can always enjoy a fresh towel after a relaxing dip in the pool or a day at the beach.
Our villa manager, Armando, will clean the pool for you during your stay at a time and day agreed by you. Surrounding Area
Villa Orlaya is perfectly perched above the enchanting bay of Kalami, on the tranquil northeast coast of Corfu and just a 45-minute drive from the airport. Just a short three-minute drive away, Kalami offers a charming selection of local amenities, including boat hire services, three quaint family-run general stores, a fishmonger, a gift shop, and an inviting array of bars and tavernas. Among them, the renowned ‘White House’ Taverna and the effortlessly cool ‘Callao’ stand out as must-visit spots.
Adjacent to Kalami, the idyllic Yialiskari Beach boasts crystal-clear waters, perfect for a refreshing swim, and an aptly named snack bar called ‘Crystals’. Meanwhile, the picturesque Agni Bay, famous for its outstanding waterfront tavernas; ‘Toula’s’, Agni Taverna’, and ‘Nikolas Taverna’ is best reached by sea taxi or boat from Kalami Jetty, adding to the allure of dining by the sea.
For a more serene retreat, Kerasia Beach, just 6 km away, offers a peaceful setting with a charming seafood taverna, ideal for a leisurely meal. A little further, at San Stefano (14 mins drive from the villa), visitors will find a mix of tavernas, bars, and a gently vibrant nightlife scene with two fantastic supermarkets and a small gift shop. Dining highlights here include ‘Wave Bar’ perfect for families and the highly recommended ‘Eucalyptus’. Further down the coast, ‘Glyfa Taverna’, ‘Thalassa’ and ‘Oliva’, together with the many enticing restaurants lining Kassiopi Harbour promise exceptional culinary experiences.
Beyond the beaches and charming villages, Corfu is steeped in history, playing a vital role in Greece’s ancient past. A visit to Old Perithia or the cosmopolitan Corfu Town is a must; wander through its atmospheric narrow streets, indulge in boutique shopping, and unwind with a drink at the iconic Liston, soaking in the timeless elegance of the island.
