This quaint little 18th century, stone built cottage awaits you in a quiet environment , with amazing views of the delightful Breton countryside and enclosed garden suitable for dogs. Perfect for a romantic break or just a peaceful and tranquil holiday.
Tremaillet is a small hamlet delightful countryside near to the village of Lizio , Roc St Andre and Josselin. Also Near to the the small towns of Malestroit, Serent, Rochefort en terre, Josselin, 25 minutes from Vannes with the Gulf of Morbihan and its beaches, the forest of Brocéliande, and next to the canal from Nantes to Brest, Two fold up bikes to use which are perfect to put in your car to cycle along the canal.
Enclosed Garden has garden furniture and charcoal BBQ and suitable for dogs.
Front and back door with Two Stable doors leads to a comfortable open plan living area with additional 2 Sofa beds . .Functional kitchen- 2 ring ceramic hob, small oven/grill, fridge with small freezer compartment .wood burner with complimentary wood.
Upstairs has a large double bedroom with double bed ,exposed beams .shower and toilet
WiFi 5G
We welcome up to 2 dogs to stay for a small fee but sorry no cats.

Lovely little cottage, very comfortable and pretty. Clean and well maintained. Great area to stay lots to do and see. Good to have use of bikes. Would recommend to anyone wanting a lovely place to stay.

Excellent séjour et hôtesse charmante

Mon épouse et moi, ainsi que nos 2 chiens, avons passé une vingtaine de jours dans cette location. Allison a été à l'écoute et nous a parfaitement renseigné et conseillé pour préparer notre séjour. Je l'en remercie car cela nous a été utile... Nous avons été accueilli par un charmant cadeau de bienvenu, sans oublier quelques gourmandises pour nos chiens. Le logement est relativement petit, mais l'aménagement est bien conçu et nous étions par conséquent bien installé et à l'aise. A noter la présence de 2 fauteuils-lit qui nous ont permis de recevoir nos enfants 1 nuit. Il est situé dans un hameau dans la campagne, parfaitement situé poour des escapades agréables sans parcourir de longues distances (mer, terre). Allison a d'ailleurs préparé un book très complet pour présenter les différentes destinations possibles sur la région, et il y en a!!! Internet est un peu capricieux dans la maison, mais il fonctionne pour les mails, web,... Bref, nous avons passé un excellent séjour et je recommande bien volontiers ce gite. Et encore merci à Allison pour son amabilité et son écoute lors de nos échanges.

Schöne ruhige Lage.

Ein sehr schönes Haus mit sehr guter Ausstattung. Durch seine ruhige Lage, genau das Richtige für gestresste Seelen. Es gibt einige schöne Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Nähe ( bis 50 km). Man kann schöne Radtouren machen, sowohl hügelige wie auch flach am Kanal entlang. Man muss sich aber auch bewusst sein dass man auf dem Land ist. Daher sind Insekten normal, nicht übermäßig aber eben doch vorhanden. Um zum Strand zu kommen sollte man bereit sein eine Stunde Fahrzeit in kauf zu nehmen. Wir haben die Ruhe genossen.

The perfect getaway!

A small, but well equipped little cottage, ideal for a weeks holiday. The hamlet is picturesque, set in a great location with great views of the surrounding countryside. We enjoyed watching the horses that were in the field backing onto the property. The cottage itself was clean and well equipped, and had everything that we needed. I would certainly recommend this property to anyone vising the Brittany region.

Unpleasant . Beware.

Having spent the day exploring St Malo we arrived, tired, at 6pm to find many many ants crawling across the tiles, a tick and dirt, cobwebs and spiders. Photos taken. The visitors books had the last entries dated 2019. The Wifi instructions in the introduction booklet clearly stated a password, identical to the bottom of the router which repeatedly did NOT work. My companion is allergic to spider bites. After vacuuming, cleaning and trying to get rid of cobwebs and spiders we notified the host and VRBO and left. Owner offered a full refund. Owner arrived at cottage 3 days later-offered a minimal refund and stated that everything was fine. VRBO policy stated that refund entirely at Hosts discretion-they could do nothing. Dealing with the Host and losing our money - accommodation standard being unacceptable and costing more than the best Hotel in the area.. Don’t even think of this cottage as good value.

Second stay in Tremaillet

After 2 years from our first stay chez Alison we decided this year to return to Tremaillet. The cottage was perfect for the 3 of us (me, my husband and our dog). We have been lucky with the weather so we could enjoy eating outside every evening after returning from nice trips in the surroundings

Très jolie petite maison bien située

Agréable séjour, beaucoup de possibilités de balades, de visites de sites variés. Un plus : la possibilité d'utiliser des vélos pliants très pratiques pour aller sur des pistes cyclables très sympas. Dans la maison, le wifi est assez fragile. Les contacts avec la propriétaire ont été des plus chaleureux.

bonnes ondes. cadre agréable. .l'étage est tres joli. linge de maison parfait.à deux c'est bien. à quatre ce serait peut-être une peu juste mais il vrai que nous vivons dans une grande maison.Le voisinage est cordial. Les Bretons sont très avenants.Nous recommanderions cette propriété centrée entre Vannes Quiberon Groix Ars et les côtes d Armor et son Cap Fréhel

Moved to Tavistock in 2012 from Bristol having worked in the NHS as a ward sister. Carl was a landscape gardener and now we are semi retired . Plymouth is our nearest port to travel to France which is very convenient and so easy to pop over.
We had be 2 Black and Tan cocker spaniels
We are keen walkers and cyclists and are enjoying our change in lifestyle

Why they chose this property

This cottage is a romantic little retreat and ideal for a couple or a small family. It's very rural and peaceful and an ideal spot for getting away from it all.
This property is easy to drive to from the ports and set in beautiful Breton countryside. 30 mins drive from the beaches as the summers are long and weather generally better than in England. There are many festivals in this area and Lizio is known for its 'petite cite de character' and local artists.
We love the peace and tranquillity.

What makes this property unique

This is real Brittany with a slow pace of life. There are many walks and love putting the fold up bikes in the car to cycle along the Nantes-Brest canal. The 2 bikes are available for visitors to use. This cottage has everything you need to enjoy your holiday including a picnic rucksack!
The cottage has a wood burner for the cool evenings with plenty of wood available at no extra cost
