Self catering ski-in/ski-out Studio Marg - right on Chavannes piste in Les Gets

Studio Marg is a ski-in/ski-out apartment situated prominently on the Chavannes piste overlooking the beautiful alpine village of Les Gets. It is a quick ski down from the apartment to pick up the chairlift to access the vast ski area of Portes du Soleil, which includes 650km of piste crossing the French-Swiss border, and takes you straight to the front door after a day's skiing. Patio door opens out onto a sheltered grass terrace with views right across the valley to Mont Chery, perfect for a summer BBQ. Added bonus of a private outdoor swimming pool and tennis court for residents in the summer. For a bigger group, our Chalet La Grande Vue, based just outside Morzine, is available.

Perfect ski in ski out

Perfect compact studio apartment, with everything you possibly need, hairdryer, iron, extra bedding, boot heaters, hoover, tv. Probably missed a few things lol. Communication was amazing, Lee and Mimi were fast in replying and nothing was too much. Thank you for our stay, can't wait for our return

Small but well organised apartment right on the slopes

Very helpful owners. Ideal for a couple +/- children. We squeezed in 3 adults which was cosy but fine for 3 nights. Excellent location

Very convenient, comfortable and well equipped.

Lee and Mimi were very attentive and gave us all the information we needed. The milk, cookies and beer in the apartment when we arrived were most welcome! It was a joy to be able to ski almost to and from the door and in the evenings only a short walk down the piste to the village. I would happily book studio Marg again in the future.

Studio Marg

Just had a fantastic weeks stay at Studio Marg in Les Get. My son and I found it very comfortable and ideally located. Just get up in the morning open the door and step onto the slopes. A quick blast down the hill takes you to the lift that leads to varied slopes. We loved the ski in ski out and ment we could drop in on our way past for lunch or a quick break. The Bell Vue bar at bottom of the hill is great after a day on the slopes.On an evening we took the 10 minute walk into the village via the road. The appartment is well stocked and the kitchen was adequate for our needs. The shower is brilliant and we found the appartment very cosy. It was really peaceful and quiet at night.Lee and Mimi are great to deal with and there communication with us was excellent throughout.

Bon emplacement. Juste un peu éloigné du village quand pas de neige. On a trouvé de la place sur le parking à proximité. Voisins pas discrets. Moquette au sol attention aux allergies. Manque micro ondes. Petit appareil pour sécher les chaussures très utile. Chauffage top. Salle de bain bien équipée.

Perfect ski to door studio for 2

Delighted with our stay at Grizzli, great small studio fully equipped with everything you would need, Lee and Mimi recommended Nevada sports near gondola in Les Gets to hire equipment, who were great. Ate out a few nights in town, walked back to the accommodation once which took us 20 mins (2 women in our 50’s 😊) so a bit longer than others, but we found the night bus 3 euros pp which runs till 10.30 which picked us up from our restaurant and dropped us to our door. Thanks Lee and Mimi

Leuke compacte studio, recht aan de piste bij de gondel. De advertentie van VRBO was onduidelijk over de grootte m2 en het aantal personen. Hierdoor kwamen wij na de boeking er pas achter dat we met gezin incl 2 kinderen op nog geen 20 m2 een week moeten bivakkeren. We hebben er het beste van gemaakt, de eigenaar Lee was zeer behulpzaam. Maar de studio is echt niet geschikt voor 4 personen, en al zeker niet voor een gezin. Dringend advies aan de boekingsite om dit juist neer te zette. Verder een super tijd gehad in Les Gets.

A refaire avec plaisir

Séjour pour 4 personnes (2 adultes et 2 enfants). Le studio est situé près du Lac des écoles en RDJ. Il est propre et avec une cuisine bien équipée, un petit espace extérieur, accès à la piscine et au terrain de tennis. Le propriétaire qui parle anglais nous a donné accès à sa cave où il y a du mobilier, les raquettes ect. Il nous a également communiqué les codes de la box et à son compte Netflix. Des petits messages de leur part pour savoir comment se passe le séjour et au départ et le tour est joué!

Studio Marg

Great little ski-in ski-out apartment. With good snow, the slope starts 8m from the front door of the block. It's compact, but more than enough space for 2 people. Shower perfect after a hard day on the slopes. The hike back up the slope at the end of the evening in the main town was a small challenge, but still enjoyable!

Great location

Location - 5 yards from piste,truly ski-in,ski-out. Check-in,check-out process - smooth and easy thanks to owner who couldn’t have been more helpful. As explained on website,apartment is a tight squeeze for 4 but,as we spent little time there,met our needs perfectly,thanks Lee and Mimi.

Great ski chalet

Easy ski in ski out property, situated at the top of one of the short drag lifts. A short walk down the slope to Les Gets town. Well equipped kitchen and great bathroom.

Good location, small but clean apartment

We stayed here for 5 nights in March, dad plus two teenagers. Apartment is on the side of the Chavannes slope so in the morning you can ski down to the lifts in Les Gets. The kids loved that they didn't need to walk with their skis to a lift in the mornings. At the end of the day you can ski right to the apartment. Walking down/up to the town (via the road) in the evening for dinner takes about 15-20 minutes (or there a night taxi-bus for 3 euros per person each way). There is also a Carrefour in the town that stays open until about 8pm. The apartment itself is clean but very small with most of the floor covered if you put down the two foam mattresses. The kitchen was modern (although we didn't do any cooking) and the shower was good with plenty of hot water. Heater in the room also worked well. There is a small flat TV with Netflix and Youtube. There is a lockable ski locker outside the apartment. We hired skis from Skilove in the town which is a 5 minute walk to the bottom of the ski lifts so all very convenient. I would recommend this studio if you don't mind not having much space. Cheers!

great location and place with great facility's. pool was great after a long day riding and the WiFi and TV was great for the kids. Will defiantly be back in the winter for a ski trip. Lee greeted us and was great showing us around and even left us a little food welcome pack and beers.

We really enjoyed our stay in Les Gets at the Studio Marg. Lee was there to greet us on our arrival and drive us to the appartment which got us off to a great start. Studio Marg was well kites out and clean. The shower was great - plenty of hot water and powerful. Weather could have been better but overall we'd highly recommend it. Lee and Mimi were great hosts and very helpful.

perfect property in a perfect location

This was our second visit and we have already booked our third!! It is perfect for a ski in ski out holiday and close enough to walk to the nearby shops and restaurants. We love skiing but this is by far our favourite and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. They have a good website and Facebook Page which you can view. The owner's Mimi & Lee are great hosts and reply to all messages within an hour or two. Thank you and we will see you next year Simon and family

Excellent studio flat right next to the piste, had everything you needed and even had beer & wine in the fridge. Owners were there to meet us with a smile and to acquet us with the area. This property is a must for 2 people to ski in Les Gets thanks to Lee & Mimi for making us feel welcome .

Great location! Accommodating hosts

Just right for my son and I for a three day mountain biking weekend. Lee and Mimi met us when we arrived Friday evening and introduced us to their friends Stacy and Alan at Alba cafe in the village who kept their restaraunt open and made us an excellent Curry. We returned for a "fry up" Saturday am before hitting the trail.

amazing stay!!!

Absolutely loved this little studio room! me and 2 other friends stayed here for a week and it was very spacious considering it was only one room with a pull out bed. The kitchen had everything you need if you wanted to cook and the fridge was stored up with beers and some basic food when we arrived! Although we did not have any snow on the hill it was placed on, it made it perfect for sunbathing on and also walking up and down. Lee and Mimi were very helpful throughout. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again!! Thank you Lee and Mimi!

Just to say a quick hello to introduce ourselves, Lee & Mimi. We set up Alpxscape which offers two affordable accommodations - Studio Marg in Les Gets and Chalet La Grande Vue 10 mins from Morzine.

Why they chose this property

We first came to Portes du Soleil in 2013 and fell in love with the area. Studio Marg, named in memory of Lee’s mum, Margaret, was our first project. Since then, we have been coming to this area and decided to move here permanently when we found Chalet La Grande Vue in July 2015. Blown away by the breathtaking scenery in Saint Jean d’Aulps and the peaceful village life, we took a leap and left our lives in London to begin our journey and adventure in the French Alps. We have been devoting our time in transforming the chalet into what is going to be our home forever, and not just a project.

What makes this property unique

We live at the top of Chalet La Grande Vue, which means we are available at all times to make sure your stay with us at Chalet La Grand Vue is comfortable and all your needs are catered for. Les Gets is 15 mins away by car so we can easily get to Studio Marg for any emergencies which may arise during your stay.
