Arnold Cottage - a cottage that sleeps 6 guests in 2 bedrooms

Head through the front door of this pretty whitewashed cottage and the ground floor hallway leads into the two bedrooms - one with a Kingsize bed and one with twin beds, plus a family bathroom with bath, shower over and w.c.

The stairs then lead up to the first floor, which opens out onto a large light living room and an open plan kitchen. The living room has distant sea views as well as lovely views of the surrounding countryside. There is a sofa bed in the living area suitable for accommodating 2 extra people. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to make for a relaxed self catering holiday and includes a dishwasher, washing machine/dryer and tall fridge/freezer. This wonderful sociable area has a large dining table and two comfy sofas. From here there are patio doors leading out to a decking area and enclosed garden below. There are superb views of the countryside from the decking which provides a great place to dine alfresco and relax.

The property also benefits from having optic fibre broadband recently installed.

Arnold Cottage is situated next to Primrose Cottage, but is totally separate in terms of having its own car parking and small garden. It is equipped for up to 6 people. The two properties can, however, be booked jointly to accommodate larger parties of up to 16.

Despite the amazing location, we felt the domestic arrangements were not entirely up-to-scratch

We have stayed at Arnold before & always enjoyed it- the location is fantastic being so close to Treyarnon/Constantine/ Booby's bays. This time, however, we were dissappointed, sadly, as there was one roll of toilet paper for 2 people for a week & 3 dishwashing tablets- it felt too utilitatrian and slightly meagre in terms of household/ domestic/ practical provision & we had to break our retreat at Arnold & go into town shopping which was irksome.

Some of the facilities could do with an upgrade. The removal of the blinds upstairs could be a challenge, privacy and muting the sunshine. Are they being replaced.

Ideal location

Arnold cottage is in an ideal location being a few minutes drive to the beach and provides very comfortable and spacious accommodation. Our party of four had a fab stay there and minor issues were dealt with speedily. We look forward to coming back again.

This is a great cottage within walking distance of the beach.

We rented both Arnold and Primrose cottage for 12 of us. It was good having Arnold where we could put members of the family that did not have children. It was November so we did not use the garden. There are some great walks direct from the cottage.

Lovely Cornish cottage

We have just returned from a weeks holiday at Arnold cottage and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was clean and well presented with lovely countryside views from the decked patio. The bedrooms being downstairs meant they stayed lovely and cool during the hot weather and aside from the mattress on the double bed being a bit uncomfortable we and the children had no complaints. Upstairs had plenty of space for a family of four. The cottage contained all the utensils and appliances we needed for a self catering break and the cream tea provided was a lovely, thoughtful touch and much appreciated. If we had one criticism (and it’s only a very small one) would be the sofas were both rather worn and a bit saggy to sit on. The location of the cottage was great, you can walk to beautiful Treyarnon beach in about 15 minutes but it is along a narrow road which gets busy in summer. We usually drove due to have 2 kids, a dog and various body boards,paddle boards and beach paraphernalia to bring with us! Parking was ready available at the beach and not overly expensive. The beach itself was lovely and very family and dog friendly. All in all a brilliant stay and we will definitely be looking to return next year.

Great Location!

We had a comfortable stay at Arnolds Cottage. The cottage was excellently placed for access to the south west coast path and local beaches. We often were able to walk straight out and leave the car at home. Some of the property was in need of a facelift but this didn’t affect our comfort. I would thoroughly recommend the property to nylons wanting to stay in a beautiful part of the uk.

Great Little Cottage

Very well equipped, had everything you need. Clean and tidy and lovely 'feel' to it. Decking could do with replacing as very springy to walk on and would also cut the hedge in the back garden to make that beautiful view more visible. Great hosts across the road. We're already booked for next year

Lovely cottage, perfect location

We had a lovely week at Arnold Cottage. It was cosy, well equipped and welcome additions such as some basic groceries and homemade scones were much appreciated. Some reviews had said previously that it was a bit tired in places and yes, it’s not the really modern houses you can rent elsewhere in Cornwall. But, it’s a Cornish Cottage that has everything you need, is clean with nice fresh, crisp bedding, constant hot water so no worry about post beach showers for all the family, it’s comfortable, dog friendly and the location is everything! Thanks for a lovely stay - we’ll be back!

Fantastic location

We loved the location of this property with a peaceful view of the farmers field. An easy walk to the beach, if you don’t need to carry too much. The property is in need of some updating and the teenagers found the WiFi very slow! But if you are looking for peace and quiet... then this is ideal!

Reallly lovely house, ideal for what we wanted. A few bits and bobs need sorting eg light above cooker, better cheese grater, better ice cube maker, few more mugs . Overall a lovely house though .. unfortunately the map we were sent by the company was the wrong one with Constantine bay marked with a pin so we tried to find the house there. No reception to phone anyone. Took us over an hour to find once in the area! Not a good start!

Beautiful cosy cottage

My husband myself and our dog spent a lovely week at Arnold Cottage at the end of September. The cottage is so cosy with views across open countryside. It is about a 10 minute walk to Treyarnon Bay which is a dog friendly beach and also Constantine Bay is a walk over the cliffs and also at this time of year dog friendly. Kirsty who looks after the cottage couldn't do enough for us. We will definitely be returning.

Winter break at Arnold Cottage

We absolutely loved our stay at Arnold Cottage. The house was immaculate with new carpets and fresh paint on the walls. The upside-down living arrangements (living room upstairs) made the best use of the lovely views across the fields. It was only a short walk to the beach and an easy drive to the shops and restaurants in Padstow. We really appreciated the wine and chocolates on our arrival. The broadband was the fasted we've experienced in Cornwall, which is great for those having to do a little work in the evenings. We'd definitely love to stay here again.
