Very disappointing
Unfortunately property was not as advertised The condition it is in is awful We are told it is being addressed but it should of been sorted months ago We were also told a professional cleaning company had been in before we arrived, this definitely wasn’t the case. As our stay was over the new year we paid a lot for this run down, tired, dusty property

PROPERTY AND GARDEN IN A VERY DISAPPOINTING STATE.
Unfortunately there were several elements we were unhappy with. The carpet in living room was threadbare and skirting boards throughout the cottage were dirty. We found cobwebs on the ceilings on arrival, which we had to remove with a hoover. Bathroom shower screen and basin had black mould. Bedroom linen was clean. The Kitchen floor was dirty but appliances were ok. We enjoyed the surrounding area and atmosphere in Beer.

Relaxation, relaxation, relaxation.
We had a wonderful, relaxing week in the beautiful village of Beer. It was everything that we hoped it would be. The cottage was clean, cosy and surprisingly spacious, The location was superb with the beach just minutes away and lots of lovely dog walks on the doorstep, missing it already.

Really cosy, comfy cottage in a great location. Beer is beautiful
The cottage is a lovely cosy base for exploring the local area. We stayed 3 nights & it was very comfortable & in a great location up the hill with everything you need for staying in Beer. Didn’t cook, can recommend fish & chips & pizza. If you don’t mind a few steps, walk to Seaton, the views are amazing & Sidmouth worth a visit. A must do is a cuppa in the beach cafe at sunset

The cottage was perfect, and only a couple of minutes stroll to all village amenities. Beer is small but beautiful.

Lovely cottage in a great location
We have had a wonderful week staying at Beachcomber Cottage . The cottage is in a great location, so handy for the shops , restaurants and beach . The garden is a bonus and a real sun trap as is the bench outside the front door in the evening . The garden is enclosed so if you have a dog , it is safe . It is an excellent location for accessing the beautiful coastal path and we managed to walk different parts of it along the coast each day . The cottage is clean , spacious and well equipped. It is cosy and comfortable . The welcome tray on arrival is a lovely touch . We would love to return!

cosy cottage in secluded location near beach
We had a fantastic week in beachcomber cottage. Perfect location on elevated private path set above main street but within just a few minutes walk of beach and its cafes. The cottage is cosy yet spacious, very nicely decorated and well equipped. We loved having our own private garden and an alternative seat just outside the door to sit in evening with glass of wine looking across at church and village below. 2nd loo downstairs nice to have too! would highly recommend especially if you want a quieter place that is still near shops, cafes and pubs (try osbornes wine bar - very friendly staff) thanks for fabulous week!

Beachcomber Cottage, Beer
Beachcomber cottage was a great place to stay in Beer. It is well situated in the heart of Beer with a short walk to the main street with its pubs, shops and restaurants and is not far from the beachfront. It has loads of character, great views over the village and is also well equipped and was exceptionally clean upon arrival. It does not have parking (as do many places in Beer) but this is not a problem - it is easy to unload the car close by and the main car park in Beer is only a short walk away. The milk in the fridge on arrival and some tea bags was a nice touch. Beer itself is a fabulous fishing village with some good pubs, restaurants and cafes/tea rooms. Breakfast on the beach at Ducky's is a must!

Beachcomber Cotttage is also our second home and my family visits regulary during the year. this helps us ensure standards for guests are kept up.

Why they chose this property

Beer is a beautiful village with a smuggling history, a little stream runs down each side of the main street to the sea, It is filled with flowers i the summer and is an award winning village. The beach is horseshoe shaped and is well kept and the fishing boats leave in the morning and return and sell their catch from the beach shop. The cottage is well placed for visits to The Donkey Sanctuary, River Cottage, Lyme Regis and Exeter. Pecorama is perfect for and afternoon visit.

What makes this property unique

The location is great! near to beach, Jurassic coastline walks, shops and eateries.

As the terrace is private and gated at each end it is quiet and very safe for children and pets.
