Spacious seaside cottage with fantastic views across the bay
The Silver House has some of the best sea views in Marazion – from both upstairs and downstairs. To enjoy the house at its best, sit in the window, maybe snuggle up with a book, and gaze out on the ever-changing sea, or across to the Mount, Penzance, Newlyn and Mousehole. You are just a few minutes stroll from the centre of Marazion, with its beaches, galleries and gift shops, cafes and restaurants. Or if you want to venture further afield, you are perfectly placed to explore nearby St Ives, Penzance, Mousehole and everything the wonderful Land's End peninsula has to offer. The cottage has been planned to make your holiday as comfortable as possible; it is spacious but feels cosy, with a touch of contemporary style and interesting artworks. The kitchen is well-equipped, there is fast wifi broadband, while upstairs you'll find white cotton bed linen and fluffy white towels. And the discreet garden over the road is the perfect spot to enjoy a picnic lunch or sundowner. The Silver House has its own private parking space located 300m away. Please note that the standard changeover day is Saturday.

We loved the house - perfect for a family stay in Marazion. Our host Alex was super helpful and brilliant to deal with. House was spacious and well equipped
We enjoyed our stay. The house is well equipped and comfortable. The view is magical as you can see St Michaels Mount across the bay .It's only a short walk down hill to the centre of Marazion and an even shorter walk uphill to a lovely pub. The property is also well located for public yransport
We had a lovely stay at silver house in Marazion the view is just perfect and the house was clean. The garden which is across the road does need a tiding up and it did say there was a hot tub but we never found it
The house had everything we needed - great location for visiting nearby towns - we particularly enjoyed Newlyn and Porthleven. Visit to St Michael's Mount interesting, if a bit hard on the legs for us oldies! Would recommend the Fire Engine for food. The garden across the road was lovely for a quiet hour with a glass of wine and a book - we were blessed with good weather!
What an absolutely fantastic house. Perfectly presented and spacious. Beautiful views looking over St Michael's Mount. Nice walk into town where everybody is friendly.
Could not have asked for a better first holiday in Cornwall.
Thank you.

Great location with exceptional views of Mounts Bay in a tidy spacious comfortable house.
The views from this property are terrific through the large bay windows. Lounge/diner is very spacious and comfortably furnished. Electric heating kept the place cosy. Bedrooms were nicely furnished but no hanging space in the back twin room was a problem. Fortunately only one occupant on this trip. House location is ideal to get to all of Marazion's facilities on foot. An ideal property for days out at many of Cornwall's attractions, Kitchen is compact but well equipped with modern appliances.
The Silver House is a fabulous base for a stay in Cornwall. It is well set up and very cosy and comfortable. There is a signed car parking space at a private hotel a short stroll up the road but you can pull over on the road out front of the house and carefully unload your luggage. Instructions to access the house were provided 2 days before and were easy to follow. You need to be able to carry your bags up a narrowish stair case to the bedrooms on the first floor and there is only one bathroom. The views of St Michael’s Mount from the house are magnificent. There is a Sainsbury’s supermarket 5 mins car drive away on the outskirts of Penzance. We also walked from Marazion to Penzance along the coast path. You can catch a bus back. Cornwall is well serviced by buses and the train from Penzance but we appreciated having a car for the flexibility.
Would definitely stay again if visiting Cornwall.
Fazit: jederzeit wieder!
We had an amazing time in Marazion. The property is ideally situated in Marazion, with an amazing view of St Michael's Mount. The house was clean and tidy, well stocked with all the essential items. It's a beautiful place to stay, with lots to do nearby. Would recommend The Fire Engine for food (do book ahead!), The Godolphin is over-rated. The sculpture gardens at Trenemeere are amazing and just up the road.
The Silver House is in the perfect location to enjoy Marazion and the west of Cornwall. The views from the house are amazing. The house itself has everything you need for your stay…but the inside really needs some redecoration. It’s looking pretty tired and in parts a bit neglected.
Definitely a property based on its location.
This was our second visit to Cornwall for summer vacation and, after staying on the west coast near Daymer Bay last year, we wanted to try somewhere different. Marazion is beautiful. It's just the right size for a visit and has Penzance nearby if we needed to do a shop.
I loved the location of the house - it is 5 minutes down the hill to the small town and the views from the house are spectacular.
The host was super friendly. I sent an email mid-trip to provide an update on the location of the local recycling centre and also to mention the kitchen needed some tongs (I was doing breakfast and needed them for bacon). Next thing I knew there were some tongs arriving as part of an Amazon delivery.
Lovely bloke, beautiful house, great location.
Heartily recommended
Very nice, characterful flat with anything you need for a family vacation-base in Cornwall. The views on Mount St Michael from the flat are spectacular and we also quite enjoyed sitting in the little garden across the street.
Lovely clean and comfortable house with everything you need for an awesome holiday. And, of course, there’s that view... Recommend the Fire Station, the King’s Arms and the Goldolphin for delicious food. If the weather’s iffy (or you can’t be bothered to cook/go out) then Little India in Penzance delivers beautiful food. Perfect base for exploring the area.
