We reallt enjoyedour stay here, the apartment had everything we needed and was very spacious. The views from the living room and bedroom were beautiful of the fells, could have looked over them all day!, The location is great, 5 min walk to a local pub
A short walking trip to Keswick, the Apartment offered us with ease of location into Keswick and the surrounding area, therefore time for the walks. Whilst the facilities included within the Apartment were not found wanting, additional entry and exit were hassle free. All help
Had a lovely time lovely little walks into Keswick and to the castleriggs standing stone’s apartment was lovely just lovely views from the window just a lovely place to be on are anniversary
Spacious first floor apartment located on the lovely Keswick railway cycle route, and main road into Keswick. Kitchen well equipped but flat fairly basic overall - fine if you’re planning to be outdoors for your stay. Good shower. Flat smelt and felt damp, needed windows open a lot but that meant road noise. Bathroom extractor fan needs fixing to help stop water pooling on the floor in bathroom from the tiles. Great location for walking and for Keswick, enjoyed our holiday.
Lovely spacious and well equipped flat. Great location opposite the footpath along the old railway track into Keswick. We really enjoyed our stay, thank you.
Nicer inside than outside. Property looks unloved. Inside clean, comfortable and warm but some mould and rust in the bathroom. You need to bring bed linen and towels and a bath mat. I think the negatives are reflected in the price however.
We had a lovely stay in Keswick and the location of the accommodation was perfect for what we wanted to do. We were able to walk into Keswick via the railway path. The accommodation had all we needed for our stay and was clean and tidy.
It was easy to find and the instructions provided were acurate.
The accommodation was very good. Beds slept well and shower was great! Really cozy place about 10 min walking from the centre of Keswick and with so many opportunities for hikes from the home. The host was very quick in replying and really helpful!
3rd stay at property and it never disappoints. The location is perfect for Keswick and the fells beyond with an added bonus of parking. Clean, comfortable and well equipped. Another great stay and more happy memories made ❤️
Nice for a short stay. Not suitable for two adults who aren't sharing a double bed, very small second room with short beds.
Not easy to find and the picture on the listing is from the middle of a field, so very pretty but not at all helpful in locating the property.
My main issue was the VRBO website which didn't work properly on any attempt from a mobile phone, including today.
It was a lovely property in a great location a short walk from the main town. The house is close to the main road so if noise bothers you this might not be the place for you but it didn't keep us awake.
Very good position, short walk into Keswick. Lovely views from apartment. Very quiet and apartment very spacious. Good position for trips to other areas.
The property is ideally located to explore the Lake District and is within easy reach of the majority of the main tourist attractions. We explored gardens in the area and found the flat a warm comfortable place to return to on rainy days. .
Lovely little flat with everything needed for a stay. Good sized rooms, great views, easy parking and really good access to hills, lake and town. highly recommend.

About the host
Hosted by Catherine Edgar
4 Ridgemount is owned by Catherine and John Edgar who lived in Cumbria for over 30 years, although we have now moved to Worcestershire. We are ardent walkers and love the theatre.
Why they chose this property
Keswick is an ideal base for our family holidays as it allows us such easy walking access to the the lakes and is also an outlet for the cultural aspects of Keswick such as the famous theatre, book and jazz festivals etc. There are plenty of activities for families with young or older children in the town and in the area. Keswick also has a good choice of pubs and restaurants
The apartment is very cosy with stunning views, this is why we fell for it.
What makes this property unique
The benefit above other properties is that it is near but not in the town centre and is therefore quiet with good views yet close to amenities. We have 2 designated off road private parking spaces at the back of the property. We are on a bus route and also right next to the old railway track which is now a cycling and walking route.
We do not increase our prices over the summer or at holiday times.
