Two beautiful cottages with 100 feet of sandy private lake frontage on Little Glen Lake. Sleeps 13 or will rent one or the other for about half the price. 6 in cottage / 7 in clubhouse. Sunday turnover day
Also note: we only allow a maximum of 13 people on the property at a time.
Twice the fun – a charming, classic lake cottage with lovely water views on Little Glen Lake's south shore, and a modern guest house next to a private tennis court. All situated on 1 1/2 acres on the lake side of the road.
THE COTTAGE sleeps up to 6, just a few steps from Glen Lake, is 900 square feet of knotty pine interior with hard wood floors and a fireplace – truly an up-north getaway. A sweet little 3-season porch overlooks Little Glen Lake and the Sleeping Bear Dunes. The kitchen has all the essential tools you could want to prepare and serve your meals. With 2 bedrooms and 1 full bath, the Cottage sleeps up to 6 comfortably, in 1 queen bed, 2 twin beds, and one set of twin bunk beds.

THE CLUB HOUSE is a charming 2-story home with 3 bedrooms, 1½ baths, and a large bright living room, right next to the private tennis/ pickleball court. At a very comfortable 1200 square feet, it easily sleeps up to 7 guests. The kitchen is stocked with essential tools and includes a washer and dryer. The master bedroom is on the first floor and has 1 queen bed, while up the stairs is a bedroom with 1 full bed, a second bedroom with 3 twin beds, and a ½ bath.

The property is 1½ acres, with over 100 feet of private direct lake frontage and plenty of lawn for outdoor games. * the road is NOT between the cottages and the lake. Little Glen Lake is very shallow near the shore and ideal for families with small children. We provide a dock and mooring buoy for your boat. Glen Arbor is just 3½ miles away, Empire 4½ miles. Weekly rentals are Sunday to Sunday. ask about long weekend rates for Spring and fall.

Beautiful location, two great houses = perfect place for a family gathering!

We rented the two houses for our family who came from Washington State,Charlotte NC and Denver Colorado. We live in Alexandria VA. We are not able to get together very frequently and this combination was perfect for us. The view from the cottage is great - loved the dock, and the shallow water. The dishwasher is so helpful and there are plenty of places to sit outside by the lake. There is a great space for the children to play between the houses . We were treated to a talent show on the tennis court. Laura is most helpful and very easy to work with. Both houses have a good number of kitchen utensils as well as pots and pans..With children, the washer and dryer was a big help! There was plenty of space for all! I would highly recommend " Slow down at Glen Lake!" It was great!

Great week on Little Glen Lake.

We had a family reunion in the Glen Lake area, and Laura’s property was one of the locations. We had to divide up because all together there were 31 family members. Slow down @Little Glen was very clean and accommodated 3 pairs of the older generation in the clubhouse plus the cottage had one family with 3 younger children. It was a perfect location, we rented Pontoon boat plus other water toys, and it keep everyone busy doing whatever they wanted to do during the day, perfect location also for sightseeing, close to everything. The tennis court also got a lot of workout. It was so nice to be together during the day and then to have the evenings to yourself. Everyone enjoyed her beautiful property, she really keeps it immaculate. The lake was perfect for the younger generation because the water was swallow enough to let the kids play without worries. A beautiful view of lake and Dunn’s along with great sunsets. We all agree that we will have to come back to Slow down @Little Glen very soon. Thank-you Laura for letting us use your property.

The cottages are clean and well equipped and the lot location is terrific.

We had a fantastic week. We had a crew with wide ranging interests and ages and the two cottages met our needs so well. We can't wait to come back up next summer!

Beautiful and relaxing!

Relaxing is....having breakfast and coffee in the sunroom overlooking the lake with hummingbirds at the feeder. It is also....sitting by a fire watching the sun set over the lake and sand dunes. This property is beautiful and perfectly located. The houses were clean and well kept. The owner was wonderful. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful week at Little Glen!

We had a wonderful week at Slow Down at Little Glen. Laura has done a great job renovating both homes. They are comfortable and well stocked with everything you will need. Laura checked in with us to make sure everything was okay and provided contact information when she knew she wouldn't be available. We used the grills and had family dinners on the picnic table. Both houses are a perfect combination of quaint Up North cottages with modern amenities. Families with young children will love the large amount of shallow water off the dock for the kids to play in. You can't go wrong with these houses!

Paradise! Spacious property, clean, nostalgic quarters, spectacular views all day🌅

Our 3 generation family enjoyed this summer vacation at "Slow Down at Little Glen" as well as any winter getaway we've had to the Caribbean. We brought our boat and enjoyed skiing, wakeboarding, wake surfing and tubing. Some of us were up early to catch the sunrise. Some of us caught up on our sleep. A couple of us exercised. We rode bikes, played washers, and board games. We even had a Euchre tournament. We had fun playing tennis on the official tennis court on the property, which was a nice bonus. We went wine tasting and "ate out" in Glen Arbor, which is only 3 miles away. We had our best meals at "Slow Down at Little Glen." We enjoyed grilling burgers and eating them while sitting at the lakeside picnic table and taking in the view. Every day was a good day! Both the cottage on the lakeside and house behind it were clean and well equipped. We did have a noisy toilet which was attended to within 24 hours. It was nice to have a washer/ dryer and go home with clean clothes. We really did have everything we needed to accommodate kids to grandparents. Everybody in our group enjoyed their stay here. Great location. We'll be back!

Our family vacation at little glen

My family and I were so very happy with the location of this beautiful property. Everything was very clean , and we needed for nothing. Large rooms and the views of the lake and sunset are amazing!! The beds and furniture were very comfortable. And Laura has thought of everything. We are looking forward to spending our next vacation right here at slow down little glen. See you soon . Wonderful!!

The cottages were in excellent shape. The property was well maintained. We definitely enjoyed our stay at Laura's property. Laura was very accessable if needed. I have been coming to the area for 50+ years and this was without a doubt the BEST. Thank you for your love of the property. I hope that in the future you might consider allowing pets:-)

Perfect for larger parties, up to 13. Two homes located in the heart of the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. On the shore of one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. You will love the large (1 1/2 ace) property, the comfort and cleanliness of the houses. We supply linens, gas grills, outdoor games and we have a full size tennis court for your use.
100 feet of private direct frontage with a dock and a boat mooring so bring your boat or you can rent one nearby. Our feedback is great! All our guests where amazed at how nice, clean and comfortable everything is.

What makes this property unique

Direct waterfront, Located within 10 minutes of the Sleeping Bear Dunes, Lake Michigan, Golf, hiking trails, the Heritage biking trail way, skiing and shopping in Empire and Glen Arbor. The area has been voted the most beautiful place in America by Good Morning America a truely wonderful place to vacation.
