Excellent house but because of main road location parking is very difficult in a small space for two cars. No garden area. Not over stacked with dishes( eg. only 3 cereal dishes) which means dishwasher has to be made more often.
We loved the place. Our 7 days stay was very enjoyable. The house is ideally located near the town centre on the doorstep for walks around the beautiful surroundings
The description of the property was totally accurate. It was really comfortable and warm. Located in the central part of Ambleside with everything you needed. Have already looked to book again for next year but it is already booked. Highly recommended.
We’ve just returned from a short break in Ambleside and couldn’t have wished for a better accommodation. Ideal for a family of four, high quality furniture, very well presented and very clean. Ideal location for both walks and amenities, at about 1 or 2 minutes walk to the centre of Ambleside. All in all, very highly recommended.
This property was very comfortable and decorated to a high standard, and is located just a short walk from the shops, bars and restaurants. We all had a very enjoyable stay and would highly recommend it.
The property was ideal for a lovely break in the Lakes. It was a five minute walk from all amenities pubs, shops and restaurants. The facilities in the cottage were to a high standard and it was lovely to return from a long walk to the under floor heating.
A lovely cottage, ideally situated for level walks into Ambleside town. Beautifully presented and kitted out. Both kids and adults enjoyed it immensely. Definitely would consider coiming back.
A very pleasant stay at the property, booking process and communication before arrival was very good.
The property is situated very close to Ambleside, giving you the option to walk into the town to shop, eat or get information, but also a great central location to visit many places in the Lake District.
The cleanliness of the property was great, beds comfortable and a nice layout of the main area.
The only downsides are that there isn’t any outside areas (garden/bbq area), car parking is a little tight and the shower/wet room can get a little slippery.
Overall a very nice stay and somewhere I would definitely try to use again in the future
A great property in good order close to town centre
Had a great week eating out and messing about on lake Windermere

Gold fish bowl
The only windows are street facing on a busy road with lots of hikers and every passerby wants to have a peep. The shower is a wet room and that means you have to mop or dry the entire floor when you shower. The hand shower is useless. The bin was overflowing. No ventilation in the second room and the beds bolts were loose. We left early

Amazingly renovated property with everything you could need for a relaxing stay.
Property is ideally situated in the centre of Ambleside. Walk out of the front door into a quaint little village and walk straight up into the hills or around multiple Lakes

Number1, The Coach House, Lake Road, Ambleside
The Coach House is a delightful, warm and welcoming cottage. My family loved our stay in your lovely home. The older member of the family appreciated the proximity to the shops and restaurants and was able to stroll down to the lake. The younger generation enjoyed the lovely walks.
Thank you very much for the wine, chocolates and provisions in the fridge, they were much appreciated.
We would recommend the newly opened Italian restaurant, Misto, in Ambleside.
Thank you again for the use of your lovely cottage.

Excellent accomodation
We had a really great week. The cottage has been finished to a very high spec. We liked the combination of kitchen and lounge area and loved the shower! Location was very good and we certainly plan to revisit.

Well presented, well appointed and perfectly situated cottage a stones throw from the centre
Just enjoyed 4 nights here and will definitely be back. The cottage has been beautifully renovated to a really high standard. My only criticism really would be the road noise from the main bedroom - I think heavy curtains would help a great deal, instead of the current voiles, and would block out the light that comes in at the edges of the blind. Otherwise, this is a fantastic place to stay, with everything Ambleside has to offer just a short stroll away.

Cracken little cottage
We spent 3 nights and were more than happy with the cottage. The layout was very good with lots of nice touches like the under floor heating and night light in the bathroom.
The kitchen was of a decent standard and well stocked.

A lovely holiday home
The Old Coach house is a well equipped and comfortable holiday cottage.
Very close to the centre of Ambleside and a gentle stroll to Lake Windermere, the location is great and the parking a bonus.
We had a fantastic week and are sure to return.

Perfect
We had a really enjoyable stay at The Old Coach House. It was a perfect base for exploring the Lake District and just a short walk from the centre of Ambleside (around 5 mins).
The bedrooms were both a good size, beautifully decorated and had ample storage. The bathroom had a wonderful 'rain' shower plus separate wand shower head. It was great that the bathroom was a wet room as opposed to a shower above a bath.
The Kitchen/dining/lounge area had everything you would need, was comfortable and had fabulous mood lighting. We loved the light fitting in the corner of the room! Having a washing machine/dryer and dishwasher in the kitchen was really helpful.
Access to an allocated parking space right outside the property was very convenient. Others have mentioned that the space was too small. However, although it is on the smaller side we were able to park a Saab 900 without issue.
Overall we had a wonderful stay and really appreciated the bottle of wine and gift vouchers for Stiles café (we had a beautiful breakfast there).
Many thanks
