The Barn is in the grounds of The Elms a timber framed farmhouse dating from the sixteenth century - Shakespeare's time. The Barn itself is more than 200 years old with exposed brick stone and timber including some low beams so in time honoured tradition guests need to 'Duck or Grouse'. It is luxuriously appointed so enjoy the comfortable bed, luxuriate in the fabulous bathroom and head upstairs for your first 'nespresso' of the day - or even tea! In the evening unwind with a glass of wine in the courtyard - open from april 2017 - watch TV ( a smart one`) or revisit the past and play vinyls - we have a small selection in the Barn but feel free to bring along your own. There is ample parking so pull up alongside Jane's Morris Minor (1954) to begin your stay. The Barn is 5 min walk from the bustling village of Tiddington. There you'll find the village pub - The Crown , Aladins - the best indian restaurant for miles and winner of various awards, Mr Chans a very good chinese restaurant, Connolley's Tapas Bar and an excellent Spar supermarket and post office. On wednesdays and saturdays you can visit 'Knead It' an artisan bakers who make the most delicious bread and cakes and indeed run bread-making courses. You could of course just chill out and enjoy the ambience of the barn but if you wish to explore further afield Stratford is a 25 minute walk or 5 minute car journey, whilst Warwick is 20 minutes drive and you could be in the centre of the Cotswolds in a similar time.

This was our second visit to the barn and we loved our time there just as much. The accommodation is beautifully renovated with great attention to detail and spotlessly clean. The host is always helpful and responsive.
Beautiful barn situated next door to the village of Tiddington and 1 mile from Stratford-upon-Avon. Beautifully and thoughtfully decorated and immaculate throughout. All the amenities you need. Perfect size for two. Had a fantastic weekend break and our host Jane, couldn't have been more considerate and helpful. Couldn't recommend enough to anyone looking to explore in and around Stratford-upon-Avon. 5 stars from us. Paul and Paula
The property was in the perfect place, lovely and quiet, yet still walkable to Stratford-Upon-Avon. Lovely touches, like tea, coffee, milk, butter, rolls, fruit, and a lovely birthday cake was left. The only criticism we had was, we could not watch the TV at night as we didn’t know how to work it. Would definitely stay again.
This is a modern small barn conversion with everything for a party of two.
We enjoyed our stay.

Ideal position for walking to Stratford Upon Avon
Newly renovated barn for two. Lovely position with upstairs full of light perfectly proportioned for two. Walked to nearby country pub/bar and well stocked spar very close in village. Walked to Stratford on Friday and did river trip with working lock and after doing the back stage tour, booked to see Antony and Cleopatra in the eve at the RSC. Kitchen perfect for simple catering which is all that was needed with lovely coffee machine. Really enjoyed the record player! Tried to walk opposite way to Charlecote NT property but ran out of verge - drove it in 5 mins!
Only issue was not having the heated towel rail working to dry towels and a very disturbing noise that occurred every 45 mins or so all through the night emanating from it seemed behind the very comfortable bed. The owner was away so we were unable to ask these questions so these issues may well have been solvable. Would recommend and would return.

About the host
Hosted by Jane
We have lived at this property for over 30 years and have brought our family up here. Now that they have all left home we have some space - and time - and like to welcome visitors to Stratford upon avon
Why they chose this property
The Barn is in the grounds of The Elms a sixteenth century farmhouse which was built around the time of Shakespeare's birthpace and indeed has many of the same features. The Barn itself is not quite so old but oozes character with many original features - including a low beam in the living area - so mind your heads!
