Absolutely perfect

We just loved the week we spent here. The home is beautiful - lots of room, comfortably furnished and equipped with everything we needed. The property is lovely - it has beautiful trails, and we saw deer and wild turkeys. Our dogs were in heaven. I especially loved all the different places we could sit outside - there were chairs and tables in a number of different locations. It is perfect for a group of people who want to travel together but also want some time alone. There are also great walking trails through the woods located nearby. Southampton is a 5 minute drive and is a charming town with nice shops., including an excellent bakery, meat and cheese store and olive oil shop. Heather was absolutely wonderful to deal with throughout - she was so warm and helpful and gave us lots of good information about what to see and where to go. We were very sad to leave.

Southampton Gem

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sandy Lane Farm in late August 2020. The home is beautiful and was a perfect size for our family of six adults. We all had a place to 'hang out' in small groups and to be together. The barn was a great space to hang out in and we enjoyed our ping pong competitions! The grounds are lovely and the location is great for exploring the Bruce Peninsula and we would definitely go back again. Heather was a pleasure to communicate with and everything was as we expected. Hope to be back another time.

Wonderful Stay

What a magnificent property. We brought our dogs and they wandered off leash, enjoying the grounds. Getting to the river is a bit tough, but many of our group ventured down. The beds are very comfortable. Lots of space for everyone. Deck has shade at all times of the day. 5 minute drive to the beach. Heather was extremely helpful. Would definitely stay again!

Peaceful and relaxing

Great place to unwind. Plenty of space for the 5 of us to spend time together while, at the same time, plenty of space to find a place to have “alone” time.

A peaceful retreat, minutes from everything...

We had an incredible week at this beautiful property. Heather and Stephen are wonderful hosts! They provided everything we needed...sheets, towels, pots & pans, dishes, tissues & toilet paper, dish soap & laundry detergent, etc. The kids loved playing the piano in the parlor and learning what a record player is! We had so much space to relax, both inside and out. The screened porch was a favorite spot with our group. We just left the house this morning and the kids are already begging to go back next year! Stephen and Heather, thanks so much for sharing your lovely home with us!

Loved it

Heather and Stephen were always very quick at responding to any questions we had. The house had more than enough room for our family of 8, including a fully stocked kitchen that had everything we needed for cooking all week for such a large group. The large property gave us lots of privacy but yet was still minutes away from town and beaches. Len and Julie

Tranquil bliss on a beautiful, large plot of land!

Heather & Stephen are wonderful people and very responsive and pleasant to deal with. My wife and I had a great time at their beautiful property on a magnificent, large plot. It was extremely quiet without nearby neighbours or busy roads; but is still very close and convenient (~4 minute drive) to the local town which has spectacular beaches, great shops and good restaurants. The property and house are very well-kept and have lots of wonderful character and charm. Plenty of amenities! We would wake up in the mornings in our king bed to bird songs, and in the evenings we would spot deer in the field (wine in hand) with background sounds of the nearby river. If you need a peaceful retreat from the city but still want somewhere that's conveniently located close to town, this is the spot! You really get the best of both worlds - serenity on the property, with plenty to see and do nearby. As much as I'd like to keep this property a secret, I must highly recommend it. Hoping to be back, Angus & Sara
