Tranquil vacation home located midway between town beach and village Commons.

This charming 3 bedroom, 2 bath home in a quiet and picturesque coastal town accommodates up to six guests. Central air conditioning. A large west-facing deck with great sunset views is equipped with comfortable outdoor furniture, a picnic table, sun parasols, and a gas BBQ.

This bright home is located just 1.5 miles from the South Shore town beach parking, which is directly adjacent to the pristine Goosewing Beach Preserve. The Preserve has been rated by Coastal Living and Town & Country magazines as one of Rhode Island's most beautiful beach destinations. The house is situated 1.3 miles away from the quaint Commons town center. There you can find a general store, pizza restaurant, town playground and public tennis courts. Little Compton is truly a great coastal location for a classic New England summer getaway!

There is high speed Wi-Fi with excellent connectivity throughout the house. In a separate sitting room, there is a Smart TV with complimentary Netflix access provided.

The lot is over 3 acres in size, guaranteeing rural privacy and tranquility. A bit over half of the lot is maintained as a grass lawn. The back lawn offers plenty of space for playing frisbee or a summer game of Wiffle ball. Four bikes with helmets are for use by tenants. There is also a Lifecycle stationary exercise bike available if you want to start the day with a cardio workout.

Additional recreational gear for use by renters includes: tennis rackets, bodyboards beach chairs and parasol. There is an additional folding picnic table with attached benches stored in the garage, for use on the lawn.

Wonderful Home in Little Compton

Perfect home for a relaxing stay in Little Compton. The house is wonderfully furnished and centrally located for a walk into the center of town or a short drive to the beach. The owner was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!

Sweet Escape

We had the most wonderful family vacation staying at this darling house in Little Compton. The house is charming and laid out in a way with various spaces for casual dining, lounging and an individual seating room we used to catch up with friends. In addition, the garage hosts the mecca of all things gaming for kids of all ages to enjoy. One of the most amazing pieces of the property is the vast lawn, where we had endless soccer games, freeze tag and running!!! Would recommend this property to anyone looking in the area. Great location for those that know LC. Enjoy!

Cute house and great location

The host left detailed list of things to do and instructions regarding the house. The only thing I did not like was the washer/dryer down in basement. Also, there is no air conditioning, but the host assured me the fans would be enough and he was right!

Immaculate space in a beautiful place

This house was even prettier in reality than in the pictures. It was spotlessly clean with lovely decorations, on a quiet, charming country road. The kitchen had plenty of cooking tools, and the garage had lots of games and swim equipment -- my friends and used the bikes to ride to town. The house was very convenient to the local beach and hikes. When we had a problem with the WiFi, our hosts responded immediately and resolved it. It's a wonderful home with responsive hosts in a beautiful location. Highly recommend.

Ultimate place to relax

This lovely home is the ultimate place to relax, unwind and enjoy family time. It's clean and spacious, with an updated kitchen and an island counter, and plenty of amenities. Wifi is excellent in case you have to do some work during your vacation. Adjacent to the kitchen is a large porch with a comfy patio sofa, cushioned chairs, table and a giant BBQ set. We really enjoyed early evenings out on the deck reading, grilling, and toasting to a great day with refreshing, local wine the host kindly left for us. There’s a picnic table on the deck too – great for families! If you want a relaxing vacation in RI's most charming coastal town, this is the place. Last but not least, our host, Todd was super responsive, friendly and really organized. We can’t wait to go back next year!

Serene cottage with rustic charm

We enjoyed our stay at this this comfortable, quiet, well-kept property. The owner was helpful and communicative, the house and property were spacious and welcoming, and my young son especially enjoyed the game room in the garage.

Nicely updated New England cottage

The cottage has everything you want in a New England style cottage. It is within a mile of the beach and has a garage/reck room that is of things for the kids to play. The cottage is well maintained and the owners respond quickly to any questions and fix any issues that arrise.

I grew up in Little Compton, RI and lived there until I moved to Virginia for my college studies. A couple of years after graduating, I moved to the Netherlands in Europe. I've now lived/worked abroad for over 25 years and have a Dutch wife and three children.

Why they chose this property

Even though we live in the lovely Netherlands and frequently travel in Europe and elsewhere around the globe, Little Compton remains the most restful and picturesque place we can imagine for a summer vacation. After many years of renting ourselves, we finally purchased our own vacation home in 2015 located just two miles from where I grew up. During the weeks we aren't using the home ourselves, we want to give others the possibility to enjoy this magical New England village and its beautiful beaches.

What makes this property unique

The house is located roughly midway between the town beach and the the Commons (town center). Little Compton is a tranquil spot to enjoy an utterly relaxing vacation on the coast. When you return from the beach or sailing after a beautiful sunny day, enjoy the expansive pastoral view from the rear deck. The garage is filled with fun games like a ping pong table, foosball and air hockey. The children can amuse themselves in the garage, which is in clear line of sight from the deck. The parents in turn can enjoy a glass of wine and the beautiful sunsets while lounging on the deck.
