About this property
The charm of 'Il Susino' is that is situated in a centuries old farmhouse.
Il Susino is a rustic private apartment, build in the middle part of the farmhouse 'La Fonte', 5 minutes from medieval town, fully equipped for romantic holiday. Experience the real Tuscany, explore the farm of this unspoiled region. 'Il Susino' is a self contained apartment adjoining the farmhouse, It is an ideal accommodation for two. It consists of a small living room with kitchen and fireplace, a bedroom with double bed and a bathroom. The charm of 'Il Susino' is that is situated in a centuries old, but very well maintained farmhouse. It's cosy and has got everything one needs. Simple but sufficient. As a guest of La Fonte you not only have access to your own appartment. In fact, the whole area around the farm is at your disposal; acres of olive trees, a vineyard, fresh fruits and vegetables, you are free to go everywhere. Your hosts Emanuela and Marco look forward to welcoming you to their home. They will also give you every assistance to help you discover and understand the opportunities offered by the surrounding countryside and (not just) tourist attractions. Whether you choose to stay put, or explore the surrounding countryside and famous sites, Podere La Fonte has the answer for you. There is WiFi access in La Fonte, but because the farmhouse has such thick walls not in Susino itself.
Marco and Emanuele will point you at the right spot for internet connection.Tuscany is famous all over the world for its extraordinary combination of natural beauty and a vast cultural heritage consisting of an incredible number of art works, ranging from Etruscan times through to the Renaissance and Baroque periods and then to the 20th century. It is the marvellous discovery of these works in their natural setting and amid its people, that the entire world admires.
But Tuscany has many landscapes, many itineraries that are often unknown to the general public outside the classical tourist circuit. It is a land of mountains, hills and woods, but it also has the sea, islands, parks, protected areas, wine cellars and oil presses as well as castles, churches, history, traditions and many other things that those who come to visit us should see and experience.

About the host
Hosted by Emanuela Giua e Marco Garosi

Emanuela Giua and her husband, Marco Garosi, own a beautiful, self-sustaining (and village supporting) farm on the northern slope just below the village of Radicondoli. Podere La Fonte is an agriturismo, a working farm that provides room and board to paying guests. On any given day in the spring or summer, you will find them tending the garden, olive groves, vineyards and orchards of their extensive spread. In autumn they are harvesting grapes to make wine, and picking olives to press into an exquisite organic olive oil.
Why they chose this property
A group of people fond of living in the stunning Tuscany countryside, who have united their experiences and talents in their love for organic healthy and genuine cooking. We grow our own vegetables, we produce our own extra virgin olive oil, our own organic wine and most of all we use only seasonal products.
What makes this property unique
”Podere la Fonte is located just three hours north of Rome in the walled medieval town of Radicondoli. With about 600+ residents, the villagers of this ancient castle town live peacefully and work together as a close-knit community.
Surrounded by olive groves, prolific vineyards, fields of produce and dark-green forests, Radicondoli’s villagers purchase the freshest fruits and vegetables at their community co-op, drink excellent local wines, and use hand-pressed olive oils, grains, meats and cheeses in their flavorful Tuscan dishes, Plus, the forests provide an array of mushrooms, herbs, and wildlife that are added to the villager’s stew pots.
