The Space:
You'll know you've discovered the Best of the West crown jewels when you come to Sapphire Beach at Pointe West! Recently updated with new flooring throughout and new furnishings, this fabulous beachfront condo offers 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, close to the Pointe West Beach Club, and is an easy walk to the beach!

King size bed in master bedroom with ensuite bathroom, queen size bed in 2nd bedroom with ensuite bathroom, two bunk beds in 3rd bedroom, and TV's in all rooms. You will enjoy the modern fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, bath and pool towels provided, and all beds are dressed for your party. Relaxation is guaranteed while watching and listening to the waves on your expansive beachfront balcony. Sapphire Beach offers everything a vacation requires!

When you stay in a Best of the West home, all you need to bring is your clothes, sunscreen, food, and you! Best of the West provides basic consumables needed for your entire stay; paper towels, toilet paper, large & small trash bags, dish soap, dishwashing detergent, laundry detergent, hand soap, coffee, creamer, sweetener, coffee filters, first aid kit, and to make things easier, a luggage cart to help you pack and unpack from your car.

Guest Access:
You will be provided the door code, wifi code, and all other check-in information 2 days before check-in.

The Neighborhood:
Pointe West is an exclusive resort community on the western tip of Galveston Island. The beaches are clean and groomed regularly and they are by far the best on the island. The main clubhouse has a beautiful infinity-edge pool, hot tub, kid’s pool, cabanas, grills, gift shop, workout facility with lockers, and a game room. 

***AMENITIES FEE: Please note that you will need to obtain a wristband and access code from the Pointe West Beach Club to take full advantage of the community facilities (pools, gym, clubhouse game room, Basketball, and Pickleball courts). They charge $25 per guest 4 years old and older and are good for the entire length of your stay. This fee will be paid directly to the Beach Club upon registration.

(You will receive an email from the Pointe West POA to prepay the resort fee. The primary guest on your reservation will need to show an ID at the Beach Club Office to pick up the wristbands and parking passes.) *** Fees increased to $25/per person in 2023. The fee is not mandatory. If you do not plan to use the pools and other amenities during your stay, you do not have to purchase the wristbands, but you will need to get parking passes from the Beach Club. You can get free wristbands for use of the restaurant and bar.

The Pointe West Beach Club is a separate entity from Best of the West Galveston. Best of the West Galveston cannot guarantee the availability of any of the Beach Club’s amenities. Check the Pointe West Beach Club’s website for details.***

Getting Around:
You are only approximately 30 minutes from downtown Galveston, Schlitterbahn, Moody Gardens, the new Pleasure Pier, and all the other great attractions of Galveston.

Other Things to Note:
**Elevators, WIFI, and cable can be unreliable on West Galveston Island. We apologize, but Best of the West can not guarantee these amenities will be working during your stay at Pointe West and we are unable to offer refunds for disruption of these services.**

Great Getaway!

We've stayed at Pointe West many times over the years and specifically this unit multiple times and have yet to be disappointed. Great location for quiet and relaxation as it is a little further away from the clubhouse. All you need is clothes and some groceries - everything else you might need is all available and waiting for your arrival! Sapphire Beach is well kept, clean, and good communication from the host. Great views from both balconies. We look forward to visiting again!

Great stay!

Very spacious and nicely set up property. Excellent communication with the manager. Everything is provided, including beach towels. All you need to bring is shampoo and body wash. Close walk to a very nice pool by the seasonal restaurant (the lazy river is a drive, and it is really small so that you know). The beach is lovely. You can rent beach chairs and sun tents. There are bikes for rent at the Beach Club and a few restaurants a short drive away. Very nice and relaxing place. Enjoy!

It’s all about the view!

The view is absolutely beautiful! Lots of room. Living room furniture looks okay but sinks down from wear, my elderly father couldn’t get out of it and it is really uncomfortable. Internet has trouble had to keep unplugging and plugging back in.

Needs some TLC

First let us say the property manager was o was fantastic. I would definitely refer them for property rentals. The unit itself, Sapphire Beach, needs some serious TLC. The carpet is severely stained, the walls have marks throughout the hallways, the master bedroom window needs to be repaired/replaced as the wind howled through it all night long - every night. The guest bathroom commode was not working and took a day to fix. The property manager was very on top of this and had a plumber scheduled the next day. The master bedroom duvet needs replacement as it is really stained. The refrigerator door needs some adjusting as it seems to have been knocked a few times too many. The kitchen utensils need to be inventoried as some are rusted and will not work (i.e. the can opener). On the patio, the wood trim is coming off the ceiling. The property location is great and the view is amazing. If the owners would invest in the upkeep of this condo we would return.

Amazing view, great location to beach

Property is in an excellent location if you want to stay in a quiet area. Wonderful covered parking, short walk to beach over the boardwalk. Gorgeous view of the water and the corner unit gave us two decks with water views on both sides of the condo. John was very responsive and we felt very safe during our stay. The condo complex in general is beautiful, although several of the buildings' exteriors are in need of minor repairs. The rooms themselves were very appropriately furnished and all the furniture was in good shape. The refrigerator was very clean as were the dishes. The condo overall was quite lovely. Property itself is in need of minor TLC updates. Doors were all very squeaky. The condo smelled musty like the de-humidifier hadn't been running in some time. The faucet in one of the showers needs some repair and when we used the clothes dryer, the whole condo heated up dramatically as if it wasn't connected to the venting system properly. Several of the kitchen supplies like coffee pot, pots and pans need to be updated. Some of the finish on the pans ended up in our food. Would have appreciated more paper goods and hand soap, also. Felt a little sparse for the seven of us staying for several days.

Great experience at Sapphire Beach!

We’ve stayed in this building many time, but this was our first time staying in Sapphire Beach! The unit was just as beautiful as the pictures show. The bedrooms were furnished nicely with comfy linens. We loved the large kitchen, balcony and owner retreat bath in particular. It is very easy to get to the beach with a walkover just to the side of the building. We spent a lot of time enjoying the view. My son left one of his toys in unit and James mailed to us. We got it within two days. We were very thankful for his kindness. We would highly recommend staying at Sapphire Beach and we plan on returning as well.
