About this property

A beautiful Cotswolds home set in 3 acres. 4 bedrooms, plus a 1 bedroom annexe.

Our house is close to great towns like Burford, Cheltenham, Cirencester and Oxford. We have stunning Cotswold countryside views. Lots of places to visit, eat and drink.
You’ll love the space, warmth and views. It is good for couples, business travellers, families, and furry friends (pets). We have a lovely flat south facing lawn and a patio with children's swings and slide.
Large BBQ areas make entertaining a joy. There are 3 acres of paddocks for your use with cut paths. A picturesque large field pond is 100m below the house.
Come and relax at our house. It has all the mod cons and is central to everything you could want to see in the Cotswolds. There is a small flat above the garage which is self contained which makes the 5th bedroom. We are 15 mins from Jeremy Clarksons pub and 20mins from his farm Diddly Squat.

We have a designer glamping cabin at the top of the field in its own setting which could be used as a 5th bedroom it has a loo but no shower. This would be an additional charge to arrange this. Please chat it over with us.

Great Family House

We stayed over Christmas with our extended family for one week. This is a great family house near all Cotswolds attractions - very close to Bibury!

Great stay, beautiful property. Very minor feedback.

It's a lovely home. Ed was a very responsive and helpful host - likewise Simon was great. Check-in and out were painless. We recommend the property and location, which is 10-20 minutes drive from several lovely villages. We stayed with our family (3 small kids). Great stay! Do be mindful this is a family home, and one should expect to see a lot of personal effects and whatnot (this did not bother us too much). We would certainly stay again, just a few minor niggles. There were a few items with the listing that should be updated. Again, it's a lovely property, but for the price we'd expect to not have this happen: - The listing claimed there was a highchair, when really there was a stool for a 2-5 year old (not a highchair). Perfectly fine to not have a highchair, but it shouldn't say there is one. - The listing claimed there was a children's play area. This was clearly a former play area which, while I'm sure was lovely in the past, cannot be used. It had a single swing that is not in working use, and no slide (where there clearly used to be one). Super old. Again, totally fine to not have a play area, but it shouldn't say there is one. - The downstairs floor and kitchen weren't 5-star clean. - The pictures make the grounds look like they can be walked and easily navigated. In practice, the grass is very high, with a narrow path around. Same story, that's fine, but the pictures and listing made it seems like there was 3 acres to roam free, when that is not nearly true.

Fantastic location

We had a fabulous stay here over Easter. The hosts were spot on with all communication. Had pretty well everything we needed over the Xmas period. Could have done with a book of instructions, hot water, cooker etc and local walks and pubs. Needs a better outside light for steps in as we had a doddery person. But generally great stay, would highly recommend

Amazing week in the Cotswolds

Our whole family had a wonderful week staying in this beautiful property. The house is stunning and catered for everything we needed. The kitchen was fully equipped and it was so lovely to arrive to fresh milk, eggs, chocolate and a bottle of wine. The children loved having their own space in the snug and there was plenty of outside space for them and the dog to explore. Ed and Venetia were brilliant hosts and answered any queries we had immediately, nothing was to much trouble. This is a beautiful place to stay and I would thoroughly recommend it.

Superb, child friendly base for a window on the Cotswolds

A warm, family home that is well appointed in such a way that you feel comfortable settling in and making the house your own. Amazing, large garden and safe and secure environment. The generosity of the owner who allows use of the toys and play equipment makes this a superb destination for families. A central Cotswold location allowing you to explore the area. You really do have everything you need to have a good time.

Very nice house and property

Overall I recommend this stay. Ed and Venetia were always prompt and helpful in their communications (although Ed you actually do have a bbq coal cylinder so no need for lighter sticks or fluid :) FYI). The place is spacious and airy and very modern and well taken care of. And the garden and grounds are beautiful. Perfect for kicking a football or taking advantage of the other great kids structures and trampolines. Ed wasn’t there for the check-in but it was still seamless and the neighbor was very friendly and helpful. The only “complaint” is we never found the kitchen pantry/ oils/ spices I thought we read was included in the listing. So you could consider sticking a little bit but not essential by any means. Oh my only other wish is that there was more walkable trail / path direct from the house. But pleasently surprised by a great little football pitch 3 minutes away on foot for the kids.

We are a family of 4 who have lived in the Cotswolds all our lives. My family farm the land locally. We enjoy a social countryside lifestyle and our kids love the south facing garden and fields surrounding the house.
We love sharing what we have here which is why we move out at certain times and we travel quite a bit to which makes the house available.

Why they chose this property

So well positioned and cosy but with great space to be together.

What makes this property unique

The setting and seeing a sunset all year around.
Swimming pond and sauna.
